Welcome to Schuler Fragen, what is?
My guest today has already dealt with the then chancellor in the migration crisis of 2015
and has an indisputable view, especially on issues of migration and the effects that are associated with it.
Wolfgang Bosbach is my guest today in his electorate, which he has won so often, here in Bergisch Gladbach.
Welcome.
Thank you for the invitation.
What do you actually believe in the migration crisis today?
Which party do people today trust to solve the crisis first?
I am not afraid of any party or that the AfD will agree on this point,
because there are very simple and easy answers to complex and very complicated questions.
There you are, Gold, right.
We had this questioned at INSA in a 2000s sample and it turned out that 33% of the AfD trust
to reduce access to Germany.
The next in line is the Union with 23% and 16% say no party.
Most others are unilateral.
That's actually a bitter statement, isn't it?
Yes, that's a bitter statement, especially when you look at the results of the polls.
The three parties together come to a narrow 15%.
But if people then lose confidence that the government solves problems that cannot be denied,
then that strengthens the populists, then that unfortunately also strengthens the extremists.
Can you explain why three parties are not able to tackle such a problem?
Do they block each other?
I think there is a lot of consideration being taken at the moment for the Greens.
That was the case with the nuclear exit.
The climate protection was given a bear service.
Otherwise it was always climate protection, climate protection, climate protection.
Then the Greens promised to get out of nuclear energy.
Then it was decided, although millions of tons of CO2 are additionally released into the atmosphere
by other forms of energy generation.
And for the Greens, the belief is that any form of immigration is an enrichment for our country.
And with that they already deny that immigration can also be associated with burden.
Where does this different perception come from?
There was recently an interesting scene where Ricarda Lang was asked by Anne Will,
what happens when the capacity limits are reached during the recording.
And then Ms. Will asked three times and there were regularly no answers.
One had the impression, it does not occur to the Greens that migration could be a problem.
That's right, because it can't be what it can't be.
It is repeatedly claimed, I would even formally underline the sentence,
humanity knows no upper limit.
Yes, who says then? Yes.
But that does not mean in reverse that a country has a completely unlimited recording and integration capacity.
This also applies to our country.
We do not have an unlimited recording and integration capacity.
And if we extend the limits of the ability,
then it is neither good for the country nor good for those who come.
Would you recommend the voters in good conscience to vote for the Union
when dealing with the migration crisis after the experiences with 2015?
If we had the absolute majority, yes.
If we had to take into account or would take into account, then I would have my doubts.
At that time, among other things, a so-called upper limit of 200,000 people was discussed,
who are moving to Germany.
Now Markus Söder has brought the whole thing back into the conversation as an integration limit
and has also been heavily criticized.
We asked how many people would like that.
And there are 56% who say, yes, we would accept such a limit.
With the exception of the Green voters.
These are the only ones who don't see it that way.
How do you deal with it now?
The Greens have long since detached themselves from the reality of life,
from what the majority of the population thinks.
The problem with the Greens is that they do not only support the better politicians.
That's not a problem.
Are there other parties too?
No, they support the better people.
They believe that they are morally superior to other people, other parties.
And whoever has a different opinion than the Greens is already a bad person.
In any case, a bad politician.
That's why they don't come down to the reality of life and face the problems.
It's not about 200,000 exactly.
Whether it's 199,000 or 201,000 is not decisive.
That was already the dispute back then.
Horst Seehofer, Angela Merkel, it was also about the 200,000.
Immigration is actually much higher every year.
When it comes to the number of 200,000, it's about people who come to us from other cultural circles
because they need humanitarian protection,
who come from war or crisis areas or simply only in the hope of a better life.
Is it actually justified that the Greens are taken into account in this way?
If we look at the graph closely,
then more than 40 percent of the Green supporters also believe
that there should be an upper limit to integration.
No, it's not okay because the first obligation,
and these are my greetings to the Chancellor,
the first obligation does not apply to the coalition partners,
but the very first and foremost obligation of a Chancellor is to serve the interests of the country,
to serve what the people in the Federal Republic of Germany consider to be the right policy.
But as long as there is a coalition peace of the coalition over the interests of the country,
the problems will not only remain, they will get bigger.
If someone is familiar with migration problems,
then it is Wolfgang Bosbach, who has already been in touch with the Chancellor in 2015-16.
A detailed conversation about all the problems of today's migration crisis
will be taken over by Faeser and the failure of the federal government
you can see on www.news.de.
I can only recommend it, it's really exciting.
