And now, have fun with the video.
What is a key competence anyway?
A key competence is a skill that is necessary to solve a challenge in a certain area.
In the classroom area, for example, communicative competences are required for parent conversations.
So communicative competences would be the key competence here.
Various key competences are carried out in various concepts of educational institutes and training centers.
But these are often described much more complicated and theoretical in the concepts than they actually are.
In this video we want to look at exactly these competences.
But so that the content of the video is not too theoretical and complicated,
the terms of the competences were simplified a bit.
Let's start with the first key competence.
Key competence 1. Implementing expertise in practice.
The act of pedagogical experts should be specialized and not, for example, arbitrary and exclusively intuitive.
Many theories and concepts are therefore taught as part of the education of educators.
A mere memorization of the theory does not bring much in later professional life.
Therefore, one key competence is described as having to succeed in implementing the theoretical expertise in practice.
Key competence 2. Ability to differentiate perceptions.
Every person perceives their environment individually and subjectively,
has their own experiences, experiences and individual characteristics that make them.
This shapes the person and the perception.
This should be respected and recognized.
In addition, observations are an elementary part of pedagogical work.
It is therefore important that children and adolescents are observed and perceived as objectively and differentiated as possible.
Key competence 3. The ability to reflect.
With reflection, it is meant that one's own pedagogical work, one's own attitude and actions are continuously checked and compared.
Reflection is also an elementary part of the education for appropriate educators.
Reflection for pedagogical experts is fundamentally important.
There are countless reasons for this, from the optimization of pedagogical work to one's own burnout prevention.
Key competence 4. Consciously pedagogical action.
Especially children learn through role models and observation.
The theoretical basis here is the learning model according to Bandura.
Pedagogical experts are usually considered a role model.
Therefore, they have a direct influence on the development of children and adolescents through their actions and actions.
It is important to be aware of the conveyed values and norms.
Even if you are not currently performing an offer or an activity, experts should pay attention to this.
Children and adolescents also look at small things.
How does the educator talk to other children?
Are boys and girls treated differently?
How is parents spoken to?
What makes the educator stressed and how does she react to stress?
Is she loud?
How does she act in conflicts?
And so on.
Experts must be aware that their pedagogical action conveys values and norms and children look at this.
Key competence 5. Organize your own learning and support children in their own learning process.
How people learn is highly individual.
This applies to children and adolescents, but of course also to adults.
So also for the educator.
Experts should be aware of their own learning and educational processes.
Also about didactic and methodical content to best accompany children and adolescents in their individual learning and educational processes
and to optimally support them in their natural curiosity and the urge to know.
Key competence 6. The ability to communicate professionally.
Communicative skills can be described as A and O of pedagogical work.
It should be distinguished between everyday and professional communication.
In a professional context, communicative skills are necessary for a variety of reasons.
On the one hand, of course, for linguistic accompaniment and language promotion.
For parent work.
For teamwork.
For conflict resolution.
But also as a linguistic role model for children, adolescents, colleagues, trainees and so on.
Through professional communication and skills in this area, difficult situations and conflicts can also be mastered.
Key competence 7. Teamwork.
Pedagogical experts must be able to work in a team and act cooperatively.
In everyday pedagogical life, people always meet, often in teams and not rarely in tense and stressful situations.
Therefore, skills in this area are necessary.
Cooperative skills and teamwork are also incredibly important,
because it often comes to working together with other institutions and institutions.
So much for the 7 key skills that teachers should have.
