The principle is very simple, it consists of crossing the threads, and for that we use a weaver's job.
We start by stretching threads, in the jargon we say chain threads.
Then, well, you have to lift a part of these threads, the pair threads for example, and there we pass the shuttle.
This shuttle, once it is passed, well, we tie the thread with a comb, and then we lift the pair threads, the others.
And with these two combinations, by lifting the pair threads, then the inner threads, well, we can weave.
Here, Jamy, I bring you Oscar, he has the cockroach, he misses you!
But Oscar, what do you want me to do with it?
Hey, but how do you do the drawings with your machine?
Ah, for the drawings, then there, you need a whole bunch of combinations.
Once we lift a thread out of two, a thread out of three, a thread out of four, a thread out of five.
And for that, we use the weaver's job.
Ah, the weaver's pulls!
And the secret is this, the perforated cardboard.
Depending on the threads that we want to lift, well, we drill holes that match.
The perforated cardboard, we place it above the chain threads.
And above the perforated cardboard, there are hooks that circulate.
These hooks, they go down, or they do not meet a hole, or they meet a hole.
And there, they will hang a chain thread.
Then, all you have to do is pass the weaver.
And, as a matter of fact, this cardboard is the ancestor of the computer.
More precisely, of binary language.
Binary means two, and on this cardboard, there are two types of information.
Either no hole, or a hole.
