Hello, I'm physical therapist, BT Jaeseok.
Continuing from last time, I will talk about back pain again this time.
Last time, I talked about back pain, back disc, and emergency exit.
So there are many cases that are not.
I explained that there are many muscle problems and movement problems.
Today, I'm going to talk about the causes of back pain.
There are a lot of causes, but I'll explain a few.
So that you can understand.
Today, I will briefly explain back pain.
And let's learn about the muscles and problems that affect it.
I will also briefly explain the back pain test.
There are so many muscles in the human body.
There are muscles in front, back, and side.
Especially, there are various muscles in the back and front of the waist.
There are many muscles that surround the waist.
Muscles that surround the waistbone, muscles that surround the body,
There are various muscles on the outside and inside.
But why do those muscles cause problems?
These are the problems.
Kim Yeon-hwa is sitting in a very, very right position.
In fact, she took a picture so that she couldn't sit in a better position than this.
So even if you sit in the right position, there is a problem.
Let me tell you a story.
You have to sit down to beat gravity.
You have to stand up.
You use your muscles continuously to maintain your posture.
You have to keep using it.
How? Without a break.
When we are in elementary, middle, and high school,
It will take at least 8 hours a day to sit in the right position.
I take classes at school, go to academies, and do homework at home.
So I've been sitting for a long time.
Muscles keep building fatigue and stress.
And it becomes an unstable posture due to muscle imbalance.
How? We use our hands.
Why? We have to study.
We have to work.
We have to cook.
As you use your front muscles, your back muscles stretch.
As the front muscles get shorter, the back muscles stretch.
It's going to bend like this.
It's going to bend.
The back muscles are bent, the shoulder muscles are bent, and the front and back muscles are unbalanced.
Also, there is pressure on the weight.
Especially where?
It's a lot on the hip muscles, right?
The lower body and hip muscles are under pressure.
It's like massaging your muscles.
If you're under constant pressure, you can't circulate your blood.
If you can't circulate your blood, your muscles get weaker.
I can't eat. I can't recover. I'm getting weak.
There's a problem with the muscles.
Even if this lasts a long time, the muscles get weak and stressed.
It can hurt to maintain the posture.
Kim In-ha has been studying for a long time.
She's going to exercise.
When you exercise, you use muscles to make movements.
Our body, which is already unbalanced,
The body that is unbalanced in the front and back muscles is stressed by a certain muscle, such as a tendon.
What was it before?
I was putting my arms down.
When you put your arms up, the muscles that put your arms down don't stretch.
You have to put your arms up hard, so your shoulders are broken.
Or the waist is moving too much.
The hip joint doesn't move.
That's what's going on.
So when do people usually have pain?
When it goes from winter to spring.
It's spring. People's clothes get lighter.
But in the winter, I'm wearing thick clothes.
If you wear thin clothes in spring and play badminton, you'll get hurt.
Suddenly, when there is a lot of movement and exercise,
When there is no muscle balance and there is a lot of exercise,
There can be a problem.
And that's how the back problems happen.
I told you earlier.
Shoulders, spine, erector spinae.
This is the biggest one, right?
It's the spine.
The spine is called the spinae, the spinae, and the spinae.
It's called the spine.
In fact, there are more muscles around the spine.
But the most representative is the spine.
It's a set of three.
It's a muscle that gives you a lot of strength.
It's not stability. It's a muscle that gives you strength.
It's the spine.
These muscles that are in a row.
Muscles like a wig.
Spine, erector spinae.
How are they attached?
There are several strands.
It's attached to the waist.
It's a spine that starts with the big toe and goes all the way to the back and neck.
It's not just the waist, it's all over.
They're stressed out in this part.
You can feel pain in the veins, the gums, and every part of it.
So you can feel pain all over your spine.
When the erector spinae is overactive.
When it's used excessively.
Like we have muscle pain.
I've used a lot of biceps muscles.
Biceps muscles are stiff and sore the next day.
Like that.
If you use too much erector spinae, your back can hurt.
So if you do too much back stretching, your back will hurt again.
Have you ever been sick the next day after squatting or deadlifting?
Why? Because I used too much waist muscles.
In fact, deadlift and squats use a lot of waist muscles, but they use more hip and lower body muscles.
But if you exercise with weak waist muscles,
it will hurt if it is used beyond the ability of the waist.
So if you do too much back exercise or give too much stress,
your back can hurt more.
I'd like to say that.
So when you stretch your back, there are various muscles.
There are various muscles.
These are also very important for static stability.
When you bend your torso,
you have to hold the back of your spine and other muscles.
And if you're nervous,
it can hurt from the big toe to the waist, back, neck, and head.
If it's too stiff, if it's used excessively,
so the limit of spine movement.
If you use your waist too much,
If you use your waist too much and it hardens,
when you bend your torso,
five of your waist bones don't move naturally,
but one or two, especially between 4 and 5,
it moves excessively.
The lower part of the waist moves excessively.
Then how? The disc will burst.
We worked out our waist to prevent the disc from bursting.
You even worked out your waist.
But if you hold your waist too hard,
when you bend your torso,
five of your waist bones don't move naturally,
but one or two,
it can cause post-joint syndrome.
You can watch the video I talked about last time.
It can cause inflammation in the joints between the waist bones.
And if your waist gets weak,
you get stressed out.
But there's something about getting weak.
We call this post-joint syndrome.
Shortening and contracting.
And stretching and using force.
It's called post-joint syndrome.
No matter how good you are at post-joint syndrome,
post-joint syndrome doesn't get dramatically better.
For post-joint syndrome,
you have to work out separately to stretch and use muscle.
It's a little more difficult.
Shortening and contracting muscle exercises are easy.
Post-joint syndrome.
It's okay to hold still.
But it's hard to stretch and use force.
That's why you work out separately.
Something like a cat-cow.
I'll tell you about it later.
That's what you need.
Sometimes I do it here.
Teacher!
You can always straighten your back and not bend your back.
If you don't bend your back, your disc won't burst.
Don't eat.
Don't pick up what's on the floor.
Don't use what's in front of you.
We use our hands forward.
We functionally use our hands forward.
There's no one who can use it backwards.
If you use it forward,
of course, there are cases where your body is bent forward.
It's inevitable.
Why?
If you don't use it,
It's because it's a structure that you can't use your body properly.
So in the end, you have to do the bending exercise separately.
Instead, in a way that doesn't overdo it.
So the stability of the body, pelvis, and shoulders.
With other exercises,
It's necessary to relieve stress by relaxing the spine and erector spinae.
So it's very important not to overdo it.
So that you can use it properly.
And what do you need to do that?
Body, external obliques, etc.
You'll need it.
Especially the external obliques, the abdominal muscles, and various muscles.
A friend who can breathe.
It's important to breathe.
Body rotation or body stability.
It's to keep your body safe so you don't overdo your back.
It's the same principle as a bandage.
Those of you who've had back surgery.
It's a bandage.
Why?
It's the same shape as the external obliques, abdominal muscles, and pelvis.
It's a bandage.
If you make it stable, your back won't hurt.
There are times when you wear a bandage to keep you from moving.
But there are times when you don't move.
To keep you safe.
If you go to the gym, you wear a belt here.
If you look at Jang Mi-ran, she wears a belt when she lifts heavy weights.
Why?
To keep the abdominal pressure and protect the waist safely.
I'm wearing a belt to protect myself by putting more effort into it.
Yes.
That's why abdominal exercises and strengthening exercises like this are very important.
To stabilize the body.
To control the movement of the spine.
So it's important to work on the obliques in the body.
Obliques in the body.
Instead, I'll explain how to work on the obliques in the body next time.
You have to work on the obliques in the body.
If the obliques in the body are too short,
If the abdomen is too short, the waist becomes a straight waist.
The waist should be straight like this, but the stomach is short.
If you bend down like this, if you have a straight waist, there's a high chance that the disc will burst.
So you need to stretch your abs.
Stretching.
You need to stretch your abs.
If the abdominal pressure increases and the stomach becomes too hard and short,
As the abdominal pressure increases, it pushes the waist back.
If you push your waist back, your waist will be straight again.
You'll be stressed.
Then your back will hurt again and there's a risk of a disc.
If the abdomen is too short, you'll be stressed.
If the abdominal pressure increases and the stomach becomes full,
So when it weakens, the body becomes unstable.
If the abdominal pressure increases and the stomach becomes full, the body becomes unstable.
So you need to stretch your abs.
So you don't have to stress your back.
So I've done the front and back of the waist.
I'm going to do the lower part of the waist.
It's the hip joint.
The movement of the hip joint should come out in various ways.
The waist moves less.
If you don't want your back to hurt, you have to move your waist less.
But there's a big muscle that's connected to the pelvis.
People call it the pectoralis major.
The pectoralis major is a combination of the pectoralis major and the pectoralis major.
The inner pectoralis major.
The pectoralis major is down here.
The part that I expressed in green is the pectoralis major in the pectoralis major.
There's a big pectoralis major, a big pectoralis major, and a small pectoralis major.
What I'm talking about is the pectoralis major.
It's a big one.
There's a pectoralis major and a small pectoralis major.
The pectoralis major is in front of the waist and in front of the pelvis.
So if you're nervous and stiff, you'll have a lot of pain in the front of your waist and pelvis.
You're pulling your back too far forward.
It's a friend that helps you bend forward.
If it's too stiff, if it's too much, you'll have a lot of pain in the front.
The pectoralis major is in front of the abdomen and the pectoralis major is in front of the body.
The pectoralis major pulls the waist forward.
It's a couple pose that fits each other.
You have to use it together and hold your back safely.
If that's not the case, your back will bend too much.
It's not good to bend too much.
The disc won't burst.
You'll use your back muscles a lot later.
Then your back will hurt more.
Because of the weakening, the back becomes unstable.
Because of the weakening, you have to arch your back slightly forward.
The back is bent.
If you can't do that, you'll have a straight back and you'll have a problem.
And the nerves and blood vessels around you.
The pectoralis major, which can cause stress and pressure.
These things can stick to the pelvis and cause problems.
And the hip muscles in the back.
Hip muscles are very important.
The strongest hip joint, external rotator cuff, and the biggest hip muscle.
The reason why this is important is because it plays the biggest role in building our body in the face of gravity.
Support your hips from behind.
If you support the V-neck, the inner side of the quadriceps, the abs, and the lower abs in front of you,
It's going to build up our body.
Then you'll use your waist less.
If the hip muscles are used well, the waist muscles are used less.
If the waist muscles are used less, it hurts less.
So if the hip muscles get shorter or shorter, the hips don't move, so the waist moves.
If the hip muscles get weak, you have to use your waist excessively to build up your body.
The hip muscles play a very big role.
The hip joint, the hip joint, the pelvis.
We've been sitting for a long time.
The front of the hip joint is getting shorter.
You have to straighten your hip joint.
You have to build up your body.
It doesn't work well.
Use your waist excessively.
Problems occur.
The hip tendon, the muscles that stretch back.
I can't use it properly.
I can't use my hips.
Use your waist excessively.
Several muscles that can use the waist excessively.
Not only this, but also the muscles.
Several muscles create various problems.
I've only talked about a few.
There are a lot of muscles that cause back pain.
I've only explained a few of them.
There are a lot of cases where back pain occurs because of these problems.
When we test back pain, we do this test.
When I test whether my back pain has improved or not,
Basically, we do two things.
I'm lowering my body.
If you really have back pain,
When you lower your body, the pressure increases.
The back of your body bounces back.
Or the back muscles stretch excessively.
It hurts.
I'm lowering my body like this.
I did this on purpose.
In my case, my hands touch.
I touched it, but I lowered my back on purpose.
There's something you need to distinguish.
A lot of people don't lower their backs like this.
People with good hip joints.
People with good hamstrings.
I'm not lowering my back.
I'm just lowering my hips.
I'm letting my hands touch.
For those of you who do that,
Lower your hips less.
Lower your hamstrings less.
I'm just rolling my back and lowering it.
Check if your back is moving well.
Check if it doesn't hurt.
And to the side.
Check if it's left or right.
Check if you have pain.
And when you sit down,
Check if your legs are symmetrical.
Check if your left and right are symmetrical.
Check if your back is comfortable.
Check if your back doesn't hurt.
Check if your knee hurts.
You can check these things.
So today,
I talked about why we have pain in our back.
And I talked about muscles.
There are many different muscles in the back.
It's causing a lot of problems.
If you sit down,
You can't sit down.
It causes a lot of problems.
Movement, muscle, these things cause a lot of problems in the waist.
There are a lot of cases where these muscle problems are the cause,
and if you do that, it can be solved quickly.
I think it would be good if you exercise according to me.
But I always say this.
Everyone, it can hurt because of the waist disc.
That's always possible.
So if you have pain for a long time,
if you have a strange pain in your upper body,
if your feet are numb, if your toes are weak,
if you have a problem, or if you don't exercise well when you exercise,
I recommend you to go to the hospital.
It's always possible in any case.
So no exercise is necessarily bad.
There is no good exercise.
You always have to exercise according to me.
If you have severe pain and go for a long time, I recommend you to go to the hospital.
I'll wrap up today's video like this.
Always be healthy.
Bye.
