The ideal kitchen is one that is both easy to use and looks good.
Aiming for the ideal, we are gradually improving the storage of the kitchen.
I use a storage box in my kitchen wagon to store ingredients.
I chose a tall box so you can't see what's inside, but
it takes a while to find what you want.
I've been thinking for a while if there's a better way to do this, but
yesterday I came up with one, so I'm going to try it out.
The idea came to me when I was looking at a cookbook.
I never thought of it when I was seriously thinking about it...😂.
The idea is to use the storage box in this direction!
I also used a small storage box I had left over.
Place shorter items toward the front.
I'm a little happy because the depth was perfect☺️.
Use this storage box for another one.
It's surprisingly fun to think about how to use space effectively.
Make sure to squeeze out all the air in zip bags to make them as compact as possible.
Individually wrapped items can be easily removed by opening the outer bag.
I decided to
take the curry roux out of the box because it seemed like it would be difficult to take it out if I stored it this time
. Are people who are good at Tetris also good at tasks like this?
It wouldn't fit...I turned it upside down and forced it in.
The box inside can be pulled out,
making it easier to find what you want.
While you're at it, clean your other storage boxes as well.
There was something close to the expiration date, so I made a note of it📝.
Let's make some sweets soon🍰.
For some reason, I have 2 bags of kelp for soup stock...it seems like I'll need to make a lot of pots.
I know there's dust, but why did it get so dirty?
It was a great opportunity
to check expiration dates and clean the storage boxes .
I wiped the other boxes in the same way and cleaned up the contents.
To make full use of the space, the cups
are placed with their handles staggered like this.
The cleaning of the kitchen wagon is now complete.
I have a plan after this, but I still have a little time, so I
'm going to wipe down the area around the ventilation fan with alkaline electrolyzed water.
If you use alkaline electrolyzed water, oil stains will float and can be easily wiped off.
Buttons that we touch often but often forget to clean.
Storage above the ventilation fan was also easily arranged.
Now that there is no storage box, it has become easier to access.
I have cloths and gloves hanging next to the ventilation fan, but they're
right above the stove, so I'm wondering if I can move them somewhere else.
After moving things, wipe down the walls and table around the stove.
There were still a few more things I wanted to clean, but
it's almost time to go out, so I'll finish here.
I don't like cleaning, so my golden rule when it comes to cleaning is "don't try too hard."
We will continue to work on creating the kitchen of our dreams little by little.
Today is the Sunday before Halloween👻 (same clothes but different day😂).
Halloween is on a weekday, so I'm going to have Halloween dinner a little early.
First, make pudding using mini pumpkins.
Microwave the pumpkin for 3 minutes.
100ml milk, 100ml fresh cream.
40g of granulated sugar, a few drops of vanilla essence.
Remove the heat from the pumpkin.
Gently cut off the top of the pumpkin, being careful not to lose its shape.
Cut out circles and remove the pulp and seeds.
I'm relieved that it didn't lose its shape.
Wrap the pumpkin in aluminum foil.
Strain the pudding liquid and pour it over the pumpkin.
Pour hot water into an oven-safe container and
bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 30 minutes.
Make simple decorations with chocolate pens.
Use the container as a lid and refrigerate.
Make hot chocolate with the leftover chocolate.
This alone wasn't enough, so I added chocolate sauce.
Hot chocolate for the first time in a while.
A warm drink with a gentle sweetness that is enjoyed in the fall and winter is very calming.
The pudding looked delicious 🍮.
Once it has cooled down, cool it thoroughly in the refrigerator.
The main dish is a menu using spare ribs.
Season with salt and pepper and brown all over.
50ml mirin, 40ml sake, 30ml soy sauce, 1 tablespoon honey.
100g frozen blueberries.
Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Next, make the side dishes.
Cut the purple cabbage and persimmon into thin strips.
3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon milk, 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
1/3 teaspoon sugar and a pinch of salt.
Halloween-colored coleslaw.
Next, let's make a cute Halloween menu using cheese.
Wrap the cheese in the gyoza skin.
Pinch the bottom of the cheese tightly to make the hem flutter.
Bake in the toaster for about 5 minutes.
Cook the spare ribs, turning them halfway through cooking.
Cut out circles from sliced cheese.
Cut the seaweed into rounds smaller than the cheese.
Add a little olive oil to keep the pasta from sticking.
I bought this pasta sauce because it looked delicious.
I made it with the image of a mummy in mind...? ? ?
Add mayonnaise with a toothpick.
I didn't have black sesame seeds so I used parsley.
Halloween dinner completed✨.
Spare ribs finished black with blueberries.
There wasn't much of a blueberry taste, and the soy sauce was really effective.
The coleslaw had a fruity persimmon flavor and was delicious.
A fun after-meal tea time.
The pudding was firm.
Decorate the spider web.
For the drink, I chose a simple Earl Gray tea.
Although it was a simple pudding,
it was smooth and had a delicious pumpkin flavor.
Happy Halloween🎃.
Thank you for watching!
