Hi, in this video I'll show you how to sew a pair of pants with a bag.
You'll need two different jersey fabrics.
I have my fabrics from Neumann Handelsvertriebstoffe and Zubehör.
I'll put the link to the shop in the info box below.
I also have a discount code for you there.
Be sure to check it out.
You'll also need a pair of pants that currently fit to take off the size.
Let's start. We'll start with the first jersey fabric.
For the pants themselves, I'll use this fabric.
I'll fold it right sides together.
And again.
So now we have four layers of fabric.
The pants should fit well on these four layers of fabric,
the way I'm folding them right now.
I'm folding it right sides together,
which means the folded edge on top of the folded edge.
That's what I mean by this area here.
I'll mark the rest of the area with a 1 cm seam allowance
and cut it out.
When we fold it apart, we can already see a pair of pants.
We have two layers of fabric here.
I'll take off the top one.
And this lower part here will be the front side.
I'll take two pieces of fabric that will become the bag
and put them right sides together.
Now I'll put this on top again
and make sure that the width is the same.
I'll turn it around and cut off the excess fabric.
If you look here,
I only have the upper area left.
I'll leave about 2 cm of space from the step.
I'll take these two pieces off again.
I'll fold the whole thing once
and then I'll go here
and draw a curve in the middle up to the top center.
I'll cut this off once.
This is what it looks like.
Now I'll sew the following sides together.
Once the curve, the sides and the bottom side together.
Only up here, I'll leave that open.
I'll do the whole thing with a normal straight stitch.
Now I'll turn the whole thing around and stuff the corners.
This is what it looks like now.
Now I'll take the front part of the pants again
and put the bag on it.
Now I'll see which side is prettier.
I've decided on this one.
This is what it looks like now.
Now I'll sew the top side together.
The sides, the bottom piece and the other side.
Only the pockets, I'll leave them open.
I'll do the whole thing again with a normal straight stitch.
You can also use a zigzag stitch.
This is what it looks like now.
Now I'll take the other part of the pants, the back side
and put it right sides together.
So that I can see the pretty sides.
And I'll sew the sides and the bottom piece together.
I'll do this with a stretchable stitch.
For example, I'll use a fake overlock stitch
or a zigzag stitch
or you can sew with an overlock.
This is what it looks like now.
I'll turn it over now.
And now you can see an almost finished pants.
Now I'll sew the legs.
I'll use legs that have the same width as the leg openings.
And I'll sew the open sides together.
And I'll turn the leg like this
so that the seam disappears inside.
I'll put this over the leg opening
and sew all around together.
You don't have to use a waistband for this
because it has the same width as the leg opening.
I'll do the same with the other side.
This is what it looks like now.
And now it's time for the waistband.
I'll use the same waistband.
Folded apart, the waist circumference is 0.7 cm.
In my case, I'll divide it by half
because I folded it together.
Then I'll sew the open side together as well.
I'll fold it like the leg waistband
so that the seam disappears inside.
And I'll put it over the pants.
And I'll make sure that the seam is on the back of the waistband.
And I'll sew all around together.
Of course, you can hide it with fabric clips or needles.
I'm sewing the waistband now so that it fits at the end.
Just to be sure, you can hide it beforehand.
And that's it.
The pants are finished.
As you can see, it's not difficult at all.
It's quick, super easy and perfect for beginners.
