花を楽しむベゴニアもありますが、
私が好きなのは、葉を楽しむ「観葉系ベゴニア」です!
その魅力はなんといっても、摩訶不思議な葉!

Recently, I collected all the Begonias that I have grown, which are my favorite aquatic plants.
There are three types of Begonias.
There are many types of Begonias.
Depending on the shape of the stem and the root, there are three types of Begonias.
The first type is a tree-standing Begonia.
The second type is a concave Begonia.
The third type is a concave Begonia, but I don't have a concave Begonia.
Many people think that Begonias have beautiful flowers.
I was one of them.
When I think of Begonias, I think of something like this.
And flowers were the main image.
There are Begonias that enjoy flowers like this.
My favorite Begonia is a concave Begonia that enjoys leaves.
Concave Begonias can also bloom flowers.
The charm of Begonias is this mysterious leaf.
Begonia leaves are asymmetrical.
It's asymmetrical, not symmetrical, like a normal plant leaf.
There are unusual-shaped Begonias like this.
Some Begonias look like ammonites.
Some Begonias look like artworks.
The first type is a tree-standing Begonia.
A tree-standing Begonia is a type of Begonia that grows straight up.
The representative fruit is this Begonia macrata.
Actually, this Begonia macrata is the first Begonia I bought.
This water-egg pattern matches the grass.
It looks like this, so I thought it would be difficult to grow it.
But this Begonia macrata is surprisingly strong and easy to grow.
This Begonia macrata opened the door to Begonia.
Concave Begonias are a group of Begonias that grow by sticking stems side by side.
Because of the color of the leaves, the shape and variations are really rich.
There are thousands of types.
Begonia basoniana.
This Begonia basoniana is called Iron Cross Begonia.
The color of the leaves is beautiful green.
But along the leaves, there is a black cross pattern.
This is called Iron Cross Begonia because it looks like the iron cross of the German army.
The leaves are hard like this.
The surface of the leaves is porous, and when you touch it, it is rough.
The surface is covered with short and solid hair.
This is a Begonia called Merry-Go-Round.
This dark green is a slightly thicker round leaf.
This Begonia has a reddish color and is a small type.
This is a Begonia Silver Jewel.
This reverse pattern is like a leopard.
The silver pattern is beautiful like a jewel, so it is called a silver jewel.
This is a mixed Begonia called Rex Begonia.
This is a group of Begonia that is a combination of Begonia rex and various Begonia.
The leaves are curly and have a velvet-like feeling.
The colorful patterns and the glossy ones are very different.
This is the first Rex Begonia I bought.
This is a type called Rex Begonia Escargot, which is like an escargot.
It is a color with a slight metallic silver on the green base.
If you look closely at the edge, it looks like a frill and is very cute.
This is a Begonia called Merry-Go-Round.
If you think this is curly, there is also a curly one under it.
It's a two-tiered begonia.
It's a two-tiered begonia and I don't know what it looks like.
But this is a single leaf.
Is it connected?
What does it mean?
It's a single leaf.
If you look at it from above, it looks like a spiral staircase.
I was surprised when I first saw its artistic beauty.
This is Uminari.
It's a Japanese name.
It's a refreshing gray, but it's silver.
It's a three-dimensional swirl that curls.
The leaves and the edges of the leaves are dark green.
The edges of the leaves are wavy and a little jagged.
I think the color scheme is very elegant.
This red velvet-like begonia is called Fireflush.
Look at this.
Even the stem is like velvet.
The green part of the leaf is covered with red hair.
It looks pretty red.
The core is even redder.
When I bathe it in light, its expression changes.
I feel like it's real.
It's surprisingly soft when you touch it.
This is Uzu Momiji.
Uzu and Momiji.
I guess it's because it's got red in it.
Uzu Momiji.
This is also eye-catching.
Silver green with a thin red-purple Uzu.
The center of the leaf is red-purple and the surrounding is silver green.
The edges of the leaves are jagged.
And it's wavy like a frill.
It's a three-dimensional, artistic form.
This is Begonia Rex Fantasy.
It's a vivid green with a dotted pattern like a brush.
It's wavy.
It's amazing.
The pattern is amazing, too.
This is Tiger.
It's vivid.
A small leaf with a vivid green pattern.
It's a very vivid type called Tiger.
And what's surprising is the stem.
The stem is white.
And there's a red puddle, or a puddle pattern.
There's a red puddle pattern in white.
This is also a little surprising.
There's a fluorescent green on the edge of the silver leaf.
You have to look closely to see the edge of the leaf.
There's a fluffy white hair like eyelashes.
It's a very unique Begonia.
Here are some tips on how to raise Begonia.
First of all, I don't like strong light.
The direct sunlight is particularly weak, so the leaves will burn.
If it's indoors, it's bright light through the base.
If you put it outdoors from spring to autumn, I think it's better to put it in the shade.
For Begonia, you can raise it in a room that is bright enough to read newspapers and books.
For example, you can raise it with LED lights or plant-based lights.
And it's weak to cold, so I think it's better to put it indoors in winter.
Next is watering.
Watering will give you plenty of soil when the surface of the soil is dry.
Even if you don't water it in winter, Begonia likes the humidity in the air.
So, it will be happy if you spray it like this.
I don't think it's necessary in this humid summer.
But I think it's good to spray it when it's dry in winter.
If you water it too much, it will cause the plant to wither.
I do that every now and then.
The difficult thing about Begonia is that it's not good at the humidity of the soil.
It really likes the humidity in the air.
So, I think it's good to remember that as a point.
Next is fertilization.
Begonia grows well from April to October.
So, I change the amount of liquid fertilizer twice a week.
I reduce the amount of fertilizer when it's too hot in midsummer and when it stops growing.
The point is to fertilize when it's growing.
Begonia's soil is not good at the humidity of the soil.
So, it's better to make the soil with a good humidity.
I use commercially available soil.
I use perlite, akadama, and belabon for the soil.
I make the soil fluffy and crispy.
I started with Begonia macrata.
It's difficult to grow Begonia rex.
I started growing Begonia rex by collecting a lot of marine plants.
Among them, Begonia rex is difficult to grow.
I can grow Begonia rex, but it's difficult to grow Begonia rex.
Begonia rex is not good at the humidity of the soil.
Begonia rex with leaves will die soon.
Begonia rex with small leaves and small buds will die soon.
I think the problem is the soil.
I added various things to improve the soil, such as coco chips and bark chips.
Because of that, Begonia rex is getting good results.
Well, basically, my favorite Begonia and Escargot are no good, so I'm a little sad that I can't grow plants.
But I read that Begonia rex is a little difficult, and I had a little knowledge, so I took insurance.
So I took insurance.
I tried to peel it off.
Ta-da!
Like this, cut the leaves like this.
And in here, I put perlite in the bottom part.
And what did I put in here?
I put a little bit of pithomus, and I put a little bit of verabon in it.
And I put pithomus in it.
Cut the leaves like this, this is an escargot.
The roots come out of this so-called vein, this thick vein.
So the roots came out well.
After the roots come out, the buds come out like this, so I'll try a little harder.
This is a plastic case with kiwi in it.
This is also a variety of...
Oh, this is a berry.
Look, it's born like this.
Oh, look at this.
The buds came out of the leaves.
So anyway, lexbegonia was a little difficult for me, so I think it's a difficult variety for beginners.
It's easy to grow like this.
Before it withers, you can cut a leaf as a precaution.
If you peel it off like this, the roots will grow right away.
The fun of growing plants is also in lexbegonia.
It was hard to raise this lexbegonia in the begonia.
I learned a lot today.
I think lexbegonia is suitable for growing terrarium.
I'm thinking of trying terrarium once.
The lexbegonia I peeled off got a little bigger, so I moved it to this glass container.
It's like a terrarium, but I put a plastic wrap on the glass case.
I cut off the extra leaves and it got a lot bigger.
It's like a work of art.
It's a lexbegonia with a mysterious charm.
I think it's going to be difficult to raise a lexbegonia with such a beautiful appearance.
Certainly, lexbegonia is not good at soil quality.
It's hard for me to choose a soil quality.
So, for beginners, I recommend lexbegonia nocturna, which is strong and easy to grow.
I introduced the charm of lexbegonia, which has a variety of leaves, colors, and patterns, and how to grow it easily.
Thank you for watching.
