Hello everyone, you are following the story of the World Heritage of Vietnam.
In the UNESCO system, which is the acronym of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization,
World Heritage is the most valuable and longest-living title.
Currently, Vietnam has 8 World Heritages.
This is a bit different from the non-physical heritage.
Non-physical simply means tradition, profession, performance,
culture, food, or clothing.
Vietnam now has a total of 14 non-physical heritages.
We can talk about heritages such as Nha Nhac, Ca Chu, or Bai Troi.
As I said, Vietnam has 8 World Heritages.
Of these 8 heritages, 5 of them are cultural heritages,
2 are natural heritages, and 1 is a mixed heritage.
There are 5 cultural heritages.
The area of Hue is 1, Hoi An is 2, My Son is 3,
Hoang Thanh Thang Long is 4, and Thanh Nha Ho is 5.
2 natural heritages include Vinh Ha Long and Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.
And the only mixed heritage is the area of Trang An.
Let's take a look at each heritage.
The first is Hoang Thanh Thang Long, located in Hanoi.
This is an architectural structure built by kings in many historical periods.
And it is one of the most important heritages in the system of heritages in Vietnam.
Hoang Thanh Thang Long is associated with the history of Thang Long, now Hanoi.
This structure was built and continued for many generations,
through the dynasties Ly, Tran, Le, Nguyen.
This is a historical evidence for the struggle to build and preserve our nation.
According to historical books and archaeological documents,
Thang Long was built according to the model of the Three Kingdoms.
The outer circle is La Thanh, which is the residence of the residents.
The middle circle is Hoang Thanh, which is the main area,
where the officials live and work in the afternoon.
And the inner circle is Tu Cam Thanh, also known as Long Phuong Thanh,
which is the place for the king, queen and members of the royal family.
The outstanding values of the Hoang Thanh Thang Long heritage
are recorded by three characteristics.
The first is the long history, spanning more than 10 centuries.
The second is the continuity of this heritage,
which means that the Hoang Thanh Thang Long area has always maintained its historical role
for a long time and has not been interrupted.
And the third is the very diverse, rich and vibrant historical sites.
The area of the Hoang Thanh Thang Long heritage is recognized as 20 hectares,
including the archaeological site at 18 Hoang Dieu Street
and the area is limited by 4 very famous and beautiful roads in Hanoi.
Those are Dien Bien Phu Street, Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Phan Dinh Phung Street and Hoang Dieu Street.
In addition to the sites underground,
there is a site that people can easily observe,
that is the Hanoi flagpole.
The Hanoi flagpole was built in 1812 under the reign of King Gia Long.
The Hanoi flagpole is a symbol of Hanoi.
The next heritage is Thanh Nha Ho.
Thanh Nha Ho is also known as Thanh Tay Do, Thanh An Ton, Thanh Tay Kinh or Thanh Tay Giai.
Those are the common names of the same site, that is Thanh Nha Ho.
Thanh Nha Ho is the capital of Dai Ngu country.
Dai Ngu is the national name of Vietnam under Nha Ho.
And Thanh Nha Ho is located on the territory of Thanh Hoa province.
Ngu in Dai Ngu of Nha Ho here means peace,
not Ngu in Dai Ngu of Nha Ho here means stupid.
Dai Ngu is a peaceful and large country,
not a country of very stupid people.
Thanh Nha Ho is a strong city with unique stone architecture,
with a large scale that is rare in Vietnam.
And it is also a city built in a way that is rare in Southeast Asia as well as in the world.
According to historical records,
Thanh Nha Ho was built in a very short time,
only about 3 months, from January to March of 1397.
And until now, although it has existed for more than 6 centuries,
some parts of the city are still relatively intact.
There are heavy stones from 10 to 20 tons that will be raised,
stacked together naturally,
completely without any adhesion material.
The third cultural heritage of Vietnam is Hoi An Old Town.
Hoi An Old Town is located in the Ha Lieu area of the famous Thu Bon River
in Quang Nam province of Vietnam.
Hoi An is not far from Da Nang, only about 30 km,
so going to Da Nang is almost the same as going to Hoi An.
And when you come to Hoi An, everyone has to go through Da Nang.
Thanks to geographical and climate-friendly factors,
Hoi An used to be a port with an international reputation,
a meeting place for ships from Japan, China and the West
in the 17th and 18th centuries.
Previously, there were traces of the port of Champa,
which was mentioned as a stopover of the Silk Road on the sea.
Since the 19th century, Hoi An has been forgotten
because the waterway traffic here is no longer convenient.
Hoi An Port is gradually declining.
At the moment, Da Nang Port was built by the French
and is clearly visible.
Hoi An has a famous bridge.
The bridge is printed on the image of the Polymer bill,
with a price of 20,000 VND.
The fourth heritage among the eight heritages of Vietnam
is Hue capital.
For nearly 400 years,
Hue was the capital of the nine-generation Nguyen dynasty in Da Nang,
then the capital of the Western Son dynasty,
then the capital of the Nguyen dynasty with 13 kings.
When Nguyen Anh ascended the throne in 1802
and took the title of Gia Long,
he also chose Phu Xuan as the capital of the Nguyen dynasty,
the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam.
Hue ended its mission as the capital of Vietnam in 1945,
when the last emperor of the Nguyen dynasty was Bao Dai Thoai Vy,
so we call Hue the capital.
Hue capital is associated with the Nguyen dynasty,
and the heritage of Hue capital
includes the heritages related to the Nguyen dynasty, of course.
Hue has a long face, a very good face,
and Hue people are often known for their gentleness and gentleness.
The fifth heritage among the eight heritages of Vietnam
is the US Emperor Son.
The US Emperor Son of Quang Nam province
was once drowned and forgotten
when the kingdom was divided into a mass grave,
and it was only rediscovered in 1885 by the French.
After that, researchers from France
began to carry out these archaeological excavations.
The French were also the first to have statistics about the US Emperor Son.
The US Emperor Son may have been built in the 4th century,
in many centuries,
because this temple has been continuously added
to the large and small towers,
and gradually became a main historical site
of Champa culture in Vietnam.
In addition to the function of a shrine
to help the royals approach the gods,
the US Emperor Son is also a place of great significance,
full of kings and powerful people.
The tower at the US Emperor Son
is made of brick material
and faces eastward.
This is the direction of the sun,
which is considered the place where the gods rest.
The bricks are carved and cut into blocks,
then stacked on top of each other,
without the need for adhesives like now.
After centuries like that,
they are still standing,
and this is also one of the biggest secrets
that no one has been able to explain in detail.
At the US Emperor Son temple,
there is also a special temple built of stone.
It is also the only stone temple in Champa.
The US Emperor Son said
this temple was last renovated with stone in 1234,
when the French discovered this temple,
it had a foundation like today.
Above is a huge pile of bricks
that people had to clean up for two months.
Today, this temple has been demolished,
perhaps due to the impact of the war,
and many other sites in the US
were also affected by the war
and were damaged a lot.
The sixth heritage of Vietnam
is a natural heritage,
Vinh Ha Long.
Vinh Ha Long simply means
the place where the dragon fell.
According to legend, there is a version like this.
Once upon a time, there was a giant dragon
that lived in this area.
When the dragon flew over the ground,
it caused the mountains here to be broken.
Later, the dragon floated down to the sea,
causing the water level to rise high,
flooding the whole area.
Only the broken mountains that had previously risen
on the water surface remained,
creating islands with strange unique shapes,
and that is Vinh Ha Long.
There are also many other legends,
related to the dragon,
and they are all explained in a similar way,
or topics related to the fight outside the river.
But in fact,
the name Ha Long,
or the names in the nearby area
with the dragon's head,
has only existed since the French colonial era,
not too long ago.
Vinh Ha Long is not only famous
for the beauty of the island,
but it is also known
as a huge geological museum,
where people study a lot
about the important traces of time,
the formation and transformation of the Earth,
and the development of our planet.
Vinh Ha Long is one of the most famous
tourist destinations in Vietnam,
and especially famous in the North.
It is estimated that every year
there are more than 4.5 million tourists
visiting Vinh Ha Long,
including a lot of international tourists.
The 7th heritage of Vietnam
is also a natural heritage,
which is the Phong Nha National Park.
The name of Phong Nha National Park
comes from two elements,
the first is Phong Nha,
Phong Nha here is Phong Nha Cave,
and Cai Bang here is the name
of the mountain forest area.
Why is it called Phong Nha?
There is an opinion that
Phong here means wind
and Nha here means teeth.
Phong Nha is understood as
the wind blowing from the cave,
and the rocks in it are rough like teeth.
Phong Nha Cai Bang is listed
as a huge geological museum
of the world.
This place also has a complex geological
development history,
a heritage of 400 million years ago.
Phong Nha Cai Bang is especially
famous for having more than 300
large and small caves,
extremely rich and magnificent,
and this place is known as the Cave Kingdom,
where many strange and attractive things
are hidden,
as a paradise for cave scientists,
explorers and tourists.
Until now, people are still looking
for Phong Nha Cai Bang.
And the last heritage
among the 8 heritages of Vietnam
is the only mixed heritage,
the Trang An Monastery.
The Trang An Monastery
is located in Ninh Binh province,
located in Hoa Lu,
Gia Vien, Nho Quan,
and part of Tam Diep city
and Ninh Binh city.
This Monastery officially became
the world's first mixed heritage
of Vietnam when it meets
the world's first mixed heritage
in terms of culture and nature.
Thanks to this, Trang An is now
the world's first and only
heritage of Southeast Asia.
In addition to the beautiful
landscape and geological surface,
Trang An also has archaeological sites,
especially related to the caves
where the ancestors used to live.
And part of this Trang An heritage
is also part of the
ancient Hoa Lu Kingdom.
The presence of heritages
in Trang An Monastery
is closely related to
the three great emperors
including Dinh, Tien Le, and Ly.
And that's the end of today's story,
the story of 8 Vietnamese heritages.
