A Delta flight attendant threatens to have a Grammy-nominated gospel vocalist escorted from the plane after she refuses to stop singing to passengers. Plus, Megan Rapinoe says her injury is ""proof"" there isn't a God. And, a woman who was threatened by a homeless man on the subway says she wishes the vigilante gunman who intervened DIDN’T use a weapon.
Ep.251"
All right, guys, happy Monday.
Question of the day, we'll jump right into it.
Why are people so mentally unstable on flights?
I mean, you guys know I consider myself to be the chief police of the air and the skies,
and I just, I'm fascinated by this.
It's a conundrum.
I don't understand what's happening.
Do we step through a portal when we get to the airports here in America?
Everybody just loses their collective mind.
That's what I want to know.
Plus, later on in the show, a woman who was threatened by a homeless man on the subway
says that she wishes the vigilante man who saved her with a gun didn't use a weapon.
Ah, yes.
He should have just let her die, I guess, or something.
All that and more today coming up on Candace Owens.
I don't know how these stories land on my lap.
It seems like every day we have more people that are mentally unstable,
that feel the need to board planes and to present themselves to people that are just
trying to travel and to say, you have to deal with me now and my mental instability.
So just to be clear, let's back this up.
You guys know if you're listening to this podcast that I have a very steep,
a very rich history of confrontations at the airport because I don't tolerate it.
Least of all, when I am this pregnant, least of all when I am this pregnant,
do I tolerate human beings that are acting selfish and narcissistic,
which seems to be just the program we are all on today at airports.
Just poor behavior, adults that are acting worse than their children.
I'll give you one such example.
I talked about it many, many moons ago.
But a woman, it was a Puerto Rican woman who was boarding a flight.
She was sitting next to me at the front of the cabin.
She had a two-year-old daughter with her.
This woman was a mess.
You can just tell by, this is a woman who doesn't read Jordan Peterson.
This woman does not make her bed in the morning.
She basically had stuffed, packed up her daughter's stroller with everything that
she was going to be wearing for the next five days.
Her daughter's stroller basically was the suitcase.
I remember when I sat down next to her, I didn't want to be there.
I just knew it wasn't going to be a good situation.
She sits her daughter on her lap after she piles all of her random paraphernalia
into the overhead cabin.
And she realizes that she hasn't packed headphones for her daughter.
She just opens the iPad, and she just plays her daughter's cartoon.
Like, oh, OK, I guess we're all, for the next three hours,
going to have to listen to Blue's Clues and Scooby-Doo,
because your mommy doesn't have her s*** together.
That was pretty much her programming.
And I looked at her, and I was like, no, no, no, no, no.
Your headphones, obviously, because I'm here.
I'm going to take a nap for the next three hours.
And she's like, I don't have any headphones.
She points to her daughter like, don't you feel bad?
I have a two-year-old.
Don't you feel bad?
No, I don't feel bad.
I don't feel bad that you were not prepared to take this flight.
I don't feel bad.
You look like the kind of person that hit snooze on your alarm six times this morning,
decided to run out of your door, pack a suitcase in the form of your daughter's stroller.
And now you've realized that you don't have any headphones, despite the fact that they
sell them every five feet at the airport.
My answer is no.
So I'm not OK with this.
And she looked at me like, oh, I'm going to have to be OK with this.
I'm like, mm, definitely not going to be OK with this.
And I raised my hand, because you guys know I'm a tattletale.
I'm a snitch.
And I had the person come over, the stewardess come over.
And they told her, unfortunately, you're going to have to turn off your iPad, because
the whole cabin is not required to listen to Scooby-Doo today, because you didn't have
your ish together.
So that's where I'm at at airplanes.
I don't care.
I am the bad guy.
I looked at the daughter, the little two-year-old.
We had an understanding.
She kind of agreed with me.
She kind of knew that her mother didn't have her ish together.
And she was very well-behaved for the rest of the flight.
She just didn't get to watch her Scooby-Doo cartoons.
Does that sound cold-blooded?
Well, I am cold-blooded, especially when I'm at the airport and people are misbehaving.
So imagine how I felt when I saw this video, which has emerged.
Now, the woman that we are going to be reporting on today, her name is Bobby Storm.
And Bobby Storm boarded this Delta flight.
And she says that she felt the Spirit of God come over her.
And the Lord told her that everybody on the plane would want to hear her sing, because
she's a singer.
Yeah, she's actually a Detroit-born vocalist that is featured on the Grammy's 2024 Best
Gospel Album nominee, The Maverick Way, by Christian group Maverick City Music.
She's got a small feature.
And she's up for a Grammy.
And so this let her know that, obviously, the Lord was working through her when she
boarded this flight.
And everybody would want to hear her sing.
What ended up happening as she stood up to speak to everyone at the airport and say,
I'm going to sing for you, is that a flight attendant intervened and said, this is not
appropriate.
Take a listen.
But they're enjoying it.
So while we're sitting here, can I please?
I'm not enjoying it.
So I'm asking you, can you be quiet?
OK, well, I'm buying that up.
That's a yes or no answer, please.
Am I going to go to jail if I don't?
Can you please answer my question?
Are you willing and able to be quiet right now?
I'm doing what the Lord is telling me to do.
I'm asking you a question.
Yes or no.
I'm your flight leader.
I need you to follow my instruction.
My instruction for you to answer my question.
Are you able to be quiet?
What do you guys think?
I'm asking you, ma'am.
I'm asking you guys.
What do you guys think?
OK, if you're not able to follow my instruction, you will not be taking this flight.
Ah, OK.
Are you able to be quiet?
If that's the case, then that's fine.
If you are the person in charge of it all.
I'm your flight leader.
Yes.
If you're the person in charge of it all, then that's fine.
All right, thank you.
So I'll sing it on the low for y'all then, if that's OK.
So the song is called We Can, and you can download it.
You gotta love that.
He walks away, then she says, I'll just sing it on the low for you guys here.
You guys that are around, because obviously you guys want me to bless you with my talents.
And I felt the Lord working through me.
And clearly, thank goodness that this flight attendant happened to be Black,
because otherwise this would have turned into an entire story about how a white flight
attendant didn't want her to use her God-given talents to elevate the room.
I can't even imagine being on this flight.
Maybe you bought a book.
Maybe you bought some headphones, because you had your collective ish together that morning.
Maybe you decided you were going to take a nap.
And now you've got this woman who just believes that every single person wants to hear her sing,
because she's a narcissist.
Because she doesn't want to acknowledge the fact that she's a selfish narcissist.
She instead puts this on God.
She says, oh, no, this is actually what the Lord wants me to do.
Incredibly, and by the way, I want to make this very clear.
There is no one that agrees with what she did.
Incredibly, she then took to Instagram to follow up on this story and to make it clear to people
that she didn't want the flight attendant, as she released this video, to be fired.
She recognizes that he made a big mistake.
She claims that Delta followed up with her and that they apologized to her for her experience
of not being able to deliver a concert while they were in the air.
Take a listen to what she said on Instagram.
I don't want this man to be reprimanded where he loses his job.
I simply want us to keep in mind how to treat each other.
And there was no rules being broken.
And it was just me spreading my joy with people after they gave me the go to do so.
So I just hope that if he watches this, he's able to
learn a valuable lesson on how to treat other people.
I mean, it is just absolutely incredible.
Seriously, I want to speak to this woman.
This is what happens when we just have an entire country that is just filled with people
that are suffering from various mental health issues.
I can't even imagine boarding a plane just being like, you know what?
I'm a podcaster and I do a show every day.
And I'm so glad that I have an audience here that is required to sit for the next two hours.
And the Lord is speaking through me.
And so I'm going to talk to you about random political topics because I am Candace Owens.
You can find me on Spotify.
You can find me on Apple.
You can find me wherever you listen.
But the Lord is telling me to do my podcast live.
So welcome to Candace Owens.
And then the flight attendant tells me that obviously this is not allowed.
She's saying there's no rule against this.
Yes, there is very much rules against being intentionally disruptive on flights.
You need to behave like an adult on a flight and recognize that people are paying not because
they want to hear you sing gospel.
Because guess what, princess?
Not everybody likes gospel music.
I don't know a single person that everybody likes to hear sing.
Even people that are loved, like Beyonce.
My mom cannot stand Beyonce's voice.
Now, I don't feel the same.
She thinks it's shrieky and it's annoying.
So if Beyonce got up on my mom's flight and started singing, my mom would be like,
please sit down.
This is not what I paid for.
That's how it works.
Could you imagine if somebody who sings heavy metal, which to me, I know you guys hate me
for this.
Some of you guys are like, no, Candace, get into it.
I'm never going to be into heavy metal.
Someone just got up and was like, well, it's not against the flight rules.
I'm just going to start shrieking heavy metal at you.
Ozzy Osbourne's going to be coming at you right now.
I mean, who do you think you are?
You have to be demented.
And it brings me great warmth to know that the rest of the world is not crazy.
And that people in the comments just completely tear her apart on Instagram.
Remind her this has nothing to do with God.
It has everything to do with your low IQ mixed in with a little bit of narcissism.
Sean, Sean, Sean wrote under her IG video, did God tell you to name drop all the people
that you produced that produced your album too?
Because she does that in the video.
This person, I am Gina, writes, you should have just been quiet.
The Lord had nothing to do with that.
Yes, obviously.
This third person, I am Trey, writes, you are out of order, point blank, period.
And you using God as a shield and clout to have your way is late and lame.
Obedient is better than sacrifice.
You are prideful.
This is not how Jesus would conduct himself.
This man is at work.
You are literally disrespecting him in his workplace.
The aircraft is not your stage.
Not everyone around you wants to hear you sing or even cares about your Grammy nominations.
God does things decent and in order.
Not the way you are acting.
You need to have a slice of pumpkin pie, sis, because this ain't it.
I am actually embarrassed for you.
Trey, round of applause.
This person writes, sorry, sis.
It's out of order.
Did not seem like God's character at all.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, she persisted.
She insisted to herself, I guess, that people in the comments just weren't privy to the
background of the story.
And so she shares it.
And really what happened was she realized that after the flight, the plane, rather,
was facing some mechanical issues, that the mechanical issues weren't happening because
that happens on a lot of these ghetto planes, but because God was using it as a way to intervene
and tell her that this was her moment to shine.
Take a listen.
As I'm sitting in my seat, I'm telling my neighbor, I really want to get up and sing
on this flight.
And she's like, sing on a flight.
And I'm like, yeah, I used to do that back in the day.
And I'm feeling it right now.
I haven't done it in years, but I'm feeling like sharing my joy with people because I
just got nominated for the first time for a Grammy.
And all of a sudden, they made an announcement and said, we have to go back to the gate.
There is a brief maintenance issue.
So for those of you with a connection, you have the option to get off or whatever the
case may be.
But we have to go back to the gate.
I knew instantly that was God.
I don't know what to say other than what I began with.
Clearly, there is a magical portal that we are all stepping through when we get to the
airport and people become clinically insane.
That's what happens at airports.
And they are convinced that their very poor behavior is somebody else's fault.
In this case, she believes that it is the Lord that is speaking through her.
When in reality, it is because she is not fit to fly in the skies.
That's what I think about you, Bobby Storm.
If I was on that flight, thankfully, I was not.
But if I was on that flight, it wouldn't have been just a flight attendant that told you
that it was time for you to be quiet.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Profiling, surveillance, data harvesting.
There are lots of things not to like about tech giants.
But what can you actually do about it when you rely on so many of their products?
Well, the good news is it doesn't take much for you to take a stand.
For less than $7 per month, you can join me and fight back against big tech by using ExpressVPN.
How do you think big tech companies make all of their money anyways?
Well, by tracking your searches, your video history, and everything that you click on,
and then selling your personal data.
ExpressVPN helps you anonymize much of your online presence by hiding your IP address,
a unique identifier that every device has that allows Big Tech to match your activity back to
you.
That's why I use ExpressVPN on all of my devices to make it much more difficult for them to
exploit my data for their own profits.
And the best part is how easy it is to use the ExpressVPN app.
I just tap one button on my phone or computer to turn it on.
And that's all it takes to keep people out of my business.
So if you don't like big tech tracking you and selling your personal data for profit,
it's time to fight back.

Okay, now it's time for some topics du jour.
All right, speaking of using the Lord's name in vain because you are really deep down just
a narcissist and you are trying to justify it by speaking about God.
I don't watch female sports.
I don't know many females that do.
By the way, if you're still somebody that's following the clues of the Scooby-Doo mystery
of why women athletes don't get paid as much as male athletes, there you go.
Because there isn't quite a market for female sports because females as a whole have different
interests.
Not to say that there are not some remarkably talented little athletes out there.
It's just that women don't support other women that are playing these sports.
And therefore, they can't sell the ads.
Anyways, I don't have time to explain to you the economics behind this.
But it's not because of sexism or anything like that.
Brings me to Megan Rapinoe, who isn't smart enough to figure that out.
Obviously, I do know who she is because she led the charge.
My team is so great.
Why are we not making as much money as the men?
Megan Rapinoe is the captain of the women's soccer team.
I think OL Reign.
I'm following notes here.
I've already admitted I don't watch female soccer.
But a couple of days ago, she went down during one of these soccer matches.
They were playing against the Gotham FC in the National Women's Soccer League Championship
on Saturday night.
In the sixth minute, Megan Rapinoe went down and had a very severe injury.
She believes that she tore her ACL, which is just pretty much, I believe, for her going
to be a career-ending injury because that was her final match of her career.
So that was it.
This was supposed to be the big shebang.
She was running.
Absolutely nobody touched her.
There was no, it wasn't a scuffle.
She just immediately went down.
And who does she blame for this?
Well, let's hear it from Megan Rapinoe herself.
Take a listen.
Yeah, I thought about it a little bit.
I mean, you know, I'm not a religious person or anything.
And if there was a God, like, this is proof that there isn't.
It's f***ed up.
So yeah, it just, it's just f***ed up because like six minutes in, it's so bad.
No way.
Um, I feel like she's trying to be unbearable because I don't see how she could be more
unbearable.
A woman that won't stand for the flag as she's representing the United States of America,
who won't stand for the national anthem and put her hand on the heart because she just
has basically no respect for America.
But now she's going, you know, it's not just America.
I actually want to be clear that I do not believe in God, but now this is proof that
God doesn't exist.
So if you were wondering, if you were on the fence, if you were thinking about getting
deep into theology, well, now you have an example.
This should help you.
You want to know whether or not God exists.
All you have to do is pay attention to what happens to Megan.
Megan, if anything bad happens to her, that's obviously proof that he doesn't exist.
It's really that simple of a litmus test.
Because she is, like I said earlier, a raging narcissist.
And that's what people tend to view.
Actually, what's going on is they tend to view themselves as their own gods.
And that's what we're suffering from in this country.
We are suffering from a lack of morality that is being bred by a lack of spirituality.
And this is what you have.
You have a bunch of people that believe that they are the best at everything.
And when they don't get what they want in life, they can blame God.
So Megan Rapinoe is just like this woman on the plane.
The Lord spoke to me.
No, you did what you wanted to do.
You had consequences for the things that you were doing.
And now you get to somehow attach this to a god or a lack thereof.
So I just wanted you to basically see that, that she actually said it because it was an absurdity.
All right, guys.
Moving on to another story that I want to make time for.
Let's pretend that you live in Gotham City, right, in the year 2035.
And in Gotham City, Batman's there.
And you are walking through the streets of Gotham City.
There's so much corruption because of the politicians.
There's crime everywhere.
And you are just about to get mugged.
How was my horror scream?
I feel like that was pretty good.
And thankfully, Batman comes.
He swoops in.
And he's got his weapons.
And he saves you.
He takes out one of his super Batman weapons.
And he saves you.
And then the news cameras come.
And they say, what do you think about this?
Oh, my gosh.
Your life has been saved by Batman.
What would you say?
What wouldn't you say?
Because in a real life Batman story, there was a woman in New York City who was on the brink of
being mugged.
Fortunately for her, there was a hero who had a gun who was able to scare off the homeless man
that was about to mug her.
Here is an image of that.
You can see he's pointing his gun at the person that is mugging this young woman who you can't
see and who wishes not to be identified.
So what did this 40-year-old woman who wishes not to be identified say to the New York Post
over the phone?
Well, she says that she wishes that her hero vigilante didn't carry a gun.
Ah, yes, because she was not fearful about being mugged, potentially dying at the hands
of a homeless man.
She was more fearful when she saw the person that was going to save her life.
Here is her depicting what happened to her on that night.
The scenario unfolded when while she was trying to head back to her queen's home,
she encountered Matthew Roche, a homeless 49-year-old who was allegedly harassing her
for money after he held the emergency gate open at the 49th Street station near Times Square.
When she tried to walk through, he blocked her way and he demanded money.
According to court documents, she said to him that she was not going to give him any
money and she kept walking.
He followed her.
He kept demanding the money.
And he said, if you don't give me money, I'm going to take your bag.
She says she then tried to walk away from him, but he was following her.
And then he started getting really close.
Roche, who is a homeless man, is known to the police for frequently pulling this sort
of a scheme.
That's why, obviously, he's walking the streets, because he's probably done this
millions of times.
But nobody cares in New York City.
He allegedly then made moves to snatch her bag when a man named John Rote, 43 years old,
whipped out a firearm and fired several rounds across the subway to warn the would-be mugger
to leave the woman alone.
What did she have to say?
She said, quote,
Of course I'm happy that the man tried to help me and that nobody was injured during
this incident.
But it's scary to think that people are carrying guns around the city.
I understand why people do it.
They see it as their only means of protection.
But she just wishes that, you know, he didn't have to be carrying that gun, because that's
also scary to think that people have guns.
So she is upset that a good guy with a gun potentially saved her life.
Because we're hearing these stories every day in New York of homeless men that are
pushing people onto the tracks, that are mugging people.
This man could have killed her with his bare hands.
But she is more concerned, of course, about the vigilante justice, about a guy firing
into the subways.
So yeah, she eventually found safety.
Her life was saved.
But she felt terrified, and she felt panicked.
And so rather than just saying, I am grateful to this man for saving my life because my
life could have ended in this subway, I would like to use this time to talk about how people
shouldn't have guns in subways because I am a lefty looney tune.
Honestly, if this is your perspective after you get saved by a good guy with a gun from
a homeless lunatic, I have no words for you.
I really do.
Genuinely, he should have just left her alone.
This is why men don't want to intervene to help women.
There's actually some remarkable statistic about women, if a man sees a woman and she's
about to be raped, how fearful men are to go over and to try to help her.
Or if they see a woman and they're in any predicament because they're fearful that
this will be the female response, that somehow a woman will turn the guy who saved her into
the villain.
This is why.
This is a perfect example why.
So what are his options?
Let her die and get pushed onto the subway tracks, or to step up to the plate and to
be the kind of hero she needs, which is to say that he should put himself in danger,
try to tackle this guy, try to potentially drag this guy and have him potentially throw
him onto the tracks because the method in which he used to save her is not something
that she agrees with.
What are the options for men out there that are trying to help women?
I'm asking that question genuinely.
In this instance, honestly, this kind of a woman should just punch herself in the face.
Super frustrating to read the story and super frustrating that this is the mindset of people
that live in these inner cities, that they're fearful of the things that are meant to help
them protect themselves.
All right, guys, moving on.
You know that I often follow this Dear Jane column, and sometimes the stories that people
write or rather the questions that people write to Jane are interesting enough for me
to want to share because I want to see your perspective on what is going on in other people's
households, I guess.
This woman wrote, Dear Jane, I am the mother of two amazing children and have always done
everything in my power to ensure that they are healthy, happy, and set up to achieve
incredible success in their lives.
For my 10-year-old, the system has worked perfectly.
He speaks Chinese, thanks to a tutor after school.
He plays instruments.
He's active and he loves sports, and he's performing really well at school.
But my six-year-old daughter has always found it harder to reach the high standards that
we have set for both of our kids.
She struggles in school.
She doesn't show any interest in the extracurricular activities that we sign her up for.
And now she has started to binge eat.
I don't want to deny a child who needs food, but my daughter has been sneaking candy when
she thinks that we aren't looking.
And at dinner, she shovels food into her mouth without any control.
The housekeeper told me yesterday that she always finds food wrappers under her bed,
and it's always junk food.
These unhealthy eating habits have caused her to gain a lot of weight.
Anytime we try and restrict her or put her on a diet, she screams, cries, and throws
huge tantrums.
She looks unhealthy, and I've noticed that other people are starting to throw judgmental
stares our way when we're out in public.
I've been doing some research and came across a treatment facility for young children who
are struggling with food and impulse control.
It's basically like a summer camp, but they teach nutrition and portion restriction.
And I think it might help her to be around other kids who have similar issues to her.
But when I told my husband, he went nuts telling me that it was cruel to even think about sending
our daughter to fat camp and that it would damage her permanently.
He said I was obsessed with having the perfect daughter and that it's shallow of me to be
so focused on her looks.
I am so hurt by his accusations.
I am focused on nothing but my daughter's health and happiness.
And although her health may have an impact on the way she looks, that is not the reason
behind my wanting to send her to this camp.
I only have my daughter's best interests at heart and don't know what I can do to make
my husband realize that.
It feels like he's trying to turn a blind eye to what is very clearly a major issue.
So how do I open his eyes from a mother's love?
Now, the Jane of this column wrote back and basically said that your husband is right
on this issue.
Tells her that I think that you're approaching your children like you might be approaching
your work and that it's not the right thing for you to be worrying about your daughter's
weights and your food issues.
Stop worrying that she won't achieve what you want for her in life if she's not a perfect
size.
Stop putting pressure on both your children to be the best, the thinnest, and the prettiest.
Blah, blah, blah.
You get the gist of it.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
Because first and foremost, what I want to say to this is it is, of course, important
for parents to pay attention to their children's nutrition.
And I think it's important to recognize that having some concerns about whether or not
your daughter is binge eating does not make you a monster per se.
But I think what's missing here is recognizing that a huge cause for why her daughter might
be binge eating is because of the way that her mother makes her feel, comparing her
to another child when every child is different.
Every child has different interests.
And it is, for me, something that I was able to see.
I think I've shared with you guys.
I nannied for many years.
And I was able to see these sorts of parents who put tons of pressure on their children
and how that manifests as an eating disorder.
I've seen six-year-olds with anorexia who didn't eat because they were so stressed
about their parents.
And then I've seen eight-year-olds that I used to watch who would binge eat because
of the way that their parents made her feel about not understanding mathematical equations.
So rather than sending this person to fat camp, you probably have to understand where
that sort of binge eating is coming from at such a young age.
When you see young kids that have eating disorders, it's not a normal thing for them to go through.
They don't need fat camp.
It's probably something that is in their immediate environment that is impacting that.
And in this circumstance, I'm going to bet that it's going to be feeling like you can't
live up to who your brother is.
But that doesn't mean that a parent should be completely not engaged and say that it
was totally fine for you to binge eat.
Here's the other thing, champ.
Whatever she's eating in the house you bought.
I'm going to assume this young six-year-old does not have a job.
She's not supplying the snacks.
So whatever it is that she's eating, if you're saying you're finding junk food under her
bed, how is the junk food getting into the house?
It's probably getting into the house because you put it there.
So you can also just encourage them to buy healthy snacks, encourage them to get healthier.
Maybe spend some one-on-one time with your daughter doing physical activities, figuring
out what it is that she likes that is a physical activity, and not having her think of it as
an exercise or a workout or speaking to a therapist.
I mean, really just being a mom that's emotionally there for your child and trying to understand
what she's going through.
That's inspiring this.
I'm always very super sensitive about kids and realizing the different environments that
they live in and how impacted they are by their parents and their parents not realizing
that it's a tough world for kids to grow up in.
I don't fault this mother, as I said, for trying to come up with a solution.
But the solution should be more mom, not sending your kid off to a fat camp because you don't
want to address the underlying issues that you may be causing within your own household.

All right, guys.
Now let's jump into reading some of your comments on episodes past.
The first set of comments are about taking your kids to a restaurant.
I'm a restaurant villain, like I am the police in the skies.
I believe that children, if they are not fit, should not be at restaurants.
It's very simple.
It's a privilege, as I stated last week or a couple, yeah, last week.
It's a privilege to go to a restaurant.
It is not a requirement to go to a restaurant.
If your children are screaming at the top of their lungs, you are doing everybody in
the immediate vicinity a disservice for being there.
And you're not enjoying it either.
Railroad Charmer writes, we have a restaurant in my neighborhood that will no longer allow
children.
The owner stated that children are not being parented these days, and they are out of control.
They let their kids run around in nearly rundown waitstaff carrying trays of food.
He said he was sick of it.
Believe it or not, he is being applauded, and his restaurant is more popular than ever.
Amen.
That's how I feel.
And it is because of, like I said last week, a parenting crisis.
People that don't want to tell their children to shut up and to sit down or to pinch the
back of their arms and threaten to kill them like my mom did to me.
Totally rational what she did.
Totally rational.
I stand by it.
MCH writes, growing up in the Honduras, shouting, throwing any type of tantrum anywhere was
absolutely unacceptable in my family.
My mom had to only stare at us, and we knew.
Oh, we knew we were in trouble when we got home.
Try explaining gentle parenting to a Latin mom.
Yeah, I do notice some cultural differences.
And definitively, what I would say is that minority parents seem a little more willing
to discipline.
Take from that what you will.
Blue Violets writes, my husband is a chef, and I work at restaurants as an event planner.
We have never taken our three-year-old to a restaurant for all the reasons that Candace
has stated.
People go out to eat to converse and relax, not to listen to loud children.
Yes, and it is very clear by that story that we told last week that if he said, this is
a fee that I'm going to put on your bill because you can't parent your children, it probably
is because your children were out of control.
I'm not buying a storyline that they behaved like angels, three boys, one of them aged
three, and the manager was just picking on you and your kids.
You probably just have a very skewed idea of what it means to parent your children and
what it means to be a well-behaved child.
And I would be positively mortified.
I mean, I would immediately remove my child from the vicinity.
Even if you were trying it out, I get that, and then your kid's out of control, you pick
the kid up, and you leave.
Like I said, barring some obviously friendly, kid-friendly spaces like IHOP, Friendly's,
or any fast food restaurant, Cracker Barrel, I almost said Crate and Barrel, Cracker Barrel,
things where you're kind of expecting a little bit of chaos.
I just find it to be ultimately inappropriate.
Next set of comments are about Taylor Swift, my major axe to grind with the fact that she
has entered everybody into a mass psychosis.
And the world believes that she is 15, when in fact, she is 34 years old.
And she behaves like a 15-year-old, which should concern everybody.
But don't worry about this mass formation psychosis, because I am breaking it down.
And people are coming out like munchkins in The Wizard of Oz.
They're like, come out, come out, wherever you are.
And they're realizing, yeah, you're right.
This is kind of weird.
She's skipping.
She's holding hands.
She's acting like a little teenager.
Yeah, you have me to thank for that.
H. Shia writes, I absolutely love your stories about Taylor Swift.
I am 39.
And the amount of friends of mine who absolutely adore her confuses me to no end.
You're the first person I've ever heard who thinks exactly what I do about her.
It is creepy to me how many people can't see the cringe of her entire persona.
Yes, it is a manufactured persona.
And I do not fault her at all.
She is about to be a billionaire because she has executed this mass formation psychosis
on the entire world.
And they think she's permanently 15.
And she dresses like she's 15 and awkward.
And she dances like she's 15 and awkward.
And it's all one big act.
But that's what I'm here for.
Paige writes, your take on Taylor Swift actually gives me hope.
Seeing so many women, especially her age, follow her and act like her and infantilize
themselves, I simply do not get it.
My closest guest is women this age without children turn themselves into the child that
they want to take care of.
Yes, 100%.
And I cannot speak enough about the way that she infantilizes herself when she even speaks.
When she talks about an album coming out, it drives me insane.
I have to find the clip that I saw on Instagram where she was like, well, I decided to release
the album in September because 9 plus 4, get it, on September 4 because I'm a nerd and
I like 13.
I was like, whoa, uh-uh, uh-uh.
That is not how a 34-year-old adult woman speaks.
It is weird.
It is creepy.
Women do not infantilize yourselves.
It will always be something that really makes me angry.
And I've got a lot of anger.
I'm still pregnant.
I'm just going to be angry this whole week.
Just kidding, guys.
All right, guys.
Unfortunately, that is all the time that we have for today, but it's okay because we
have the rest of the week.
And we'll see you tomorrow for a brand new episode.
