video you'll only see on 13 right here of the chaos on the Gulf Freeway. When a
police chase ends, Sky, I was over the scene when the driver got out of the car
and ran and was followed by a dog. A. B. C. 13 Giovanni Legi is live near I 45
in Park Place Boulevard with new details about the driver. And we also
want to know about that dog as well. Giovanni, well, Eric, tonight, so many
close calls and chaotic moments. The driver police arrested has done this
before, they say. And as a known gang member and about the dog, police say
that he's back with the suspect's family. The suspect not stopping this
almost hour long chase ending here on Gulf Freeway, heading into the city
during rush hour traffic. Watch as the driver of this Dodge Charger slams
into other cars as he tries to get away from police. There we go. Our first
crash with smoke and fire, the flames and sparks shooting out from underneath
the suspect's car. And when it comes to a stop, he hops out and runs across
the freeway. This all with his dog following from behind, trailing him
every step of the way. Again, a foot pursuit police not that far behind him,
along with a dog that is following him. The suspect ends up here in this muddy
area and tries to tread through this water. Sky a 13 capturing him trying to
hide in cars before police eventually catch up. As of right now, it looks like
the suspect is also a documented gang member. Police also telling us he's
been involved in another chase before and that this chase started as a
traffic stop because the car he was driving was a vehicle of interest in
that case. But they didn't give us the details or his name. Nobody was injured
in this chase, and police say the dog was given back to the suspect's family.
