I guess that's right, back to our league, that's what that means.
I don't know, I still don't know what's going on.
People deluded, I'm back again.
Come on, Ian.
As Ian Wright said there, people deluded, I'm back again.
A bit of a boring day where Arsenal's transfer news are concerned,
but nonetheless, let's go over everything that has been said so far.
As we know, 99.9% of these rumours are BS,
but we do hope Arsenal can bring a player in.
I think I speak for every Arsenal fan, where we'd love a winger,
love a striker, love a centre midfielder or two,
and we'd love some defensive additions.
Whatever the priority is, whether we have the facilities
to either get someone on loan or permanent,
or get half of these names we're linked with,
is a completely different debate.
But nonetheless, people, let's see exactly what's been said.
Make sure you're smashing the like button and those things.
Now, in the Athletics Q&A show,
David Ornstein has spoken on Arsenal's business.
Somebody's asked, will Arsenal do any business?
It wouldn't surprise me if they end up doing something reactive
towards the end of the window,
purely because they're always attentive to the market,
they are short in places, and we can never say never in this industry.
But as I have consistently reported,
Arsenal's financial position dictated that this was expected
to be a quiet window, and still to this point,
I'm not aware of anything meaningful developing yet.
That's not to say work hasn't gone on behind the scenes
to identify and prepare options in multiple positions
for now, summer, and beyond.
But whether any of those can or will be acted upon
before the end of the month is another matter altogether.
It will largely depend on whether and which players leave
and what space and finance that would create
to do business the other way.
Sorry for the boring answer, but to my knowledge,
it's the reality.
Arsenal really need to get their existing players
who are proven to deliver the results the club wants
to rediscover their best form.
That seems to be the bigger issue right now
than recruitment.
Or both are massive issues, really.
Our existing players are underperforming,
and Mikel Arteta needs to get them back on it.
And we do need players.
And it does appear it's a weird situation.
We can't buy before we sell.
We can't sell before we can buy.
Obviously, Ramsdale, Smith-Rowe, Reece Nelson,
Thomas Partey, Jorginho, El Nene, Eddie Nketi,
these are players that have been linked with moves away
in January.
Now, everybody's interested in everyone,
whether people put bids for our players
and we put bids for others,
is a completely different thing, people.
Allegedly, Arsenal's sporting director,
Edu, has reportedly decided to push through
the signing of Joshua Zerky,
despite learning the Gunners need to pay
a 15 million premium on top of his exit clause
to secure his signing ahead of his rival suitors.
As you know, you'd imagine an informed striker
that's got, what, 11, 12 goals in Serie A
would be under debate.
You know, his current club, Bologna,
are set to make a tidy profit on him,
really and truly.
And we do need to remember Bayern Munich
probably have a sell-on clause
and they also have a buy-back clause.
I don't know if the headline quite matches up
because I don't know if we've got the facilities
to do this and I don't know if Bologna
would let the man go.
Arsenal ready to pay premium fee
to land Joshua Zerky.
With a move for their top target,
Ivan Toni taken off the table by Brentford,
he will demand a 100 million fee.
Team talk this week revealed that the new deal
he is poised to sign with the B's
will contain an exit clause,
making a summer exit all the more possible.
However, Arteta wants to sign
a new striker this month
as after we revealed that they are yet
to make a move for Borussia Morojov,
despite suggestions and offers had been made,
it's since emerged that Bologna's Zerky
is now the club's number one target.
That's the merry-go-round that we've seen, people.
The Netherlands under-21 international
has developed into one of Serie A's
most feared strikers this season,
having moved to Bologna
from Bayern Munich this summer
and having taken his time to settle
into his new surroundings,
the 6'4 frontman has bagged
eight times in 16 games this season
for a Bologna side who are surprise contenders
to seal a top-four finish this season.
I mean, when you look at the fact that
he's got a handsome return,
Solanke's got 12 goals
and, you know, the Broglie guy
that we've been linked with at Getafe,
I think he's got 11, 12 goals in the league.
I'd imagine if we're doing our due diligence
then we have to have ran the rule over them,
but they seem like purple patch players
that have been linked with us
because of Arsenal's need for a striker, people.
Allegedly, it's reported the Gunners
had learned of a €40m in brackets,
€34.4 exit clause in the striker's contract,
making a possible deal look attractive.
You know, do we really have €34m
to spend on an unproven player?
Which, again, he's young,
he's 6'4, he's scoring goals.
I'm sure that he's been at Bayern Munich,
plays for Holland at international level
or youth international level.
There's got to be something about him,
but this seems like a gamble really and truly.
Nonetheless, people, it will require
a €40m bid to bring him in, really,
and apparently there's a buyback clause
once again in the Bayern Munich contract.
Apparently, it's only valid for Bayern Munich,
confirmed their sporting director.
That's in relation to the buyback clause.
As a result, it's claimed Bologna have told Arsenal
they'll need to pay a premium of around €17.5m.
So, again, the article's fluctuating more
in addition to that sum
if they are to consider the sale of their star man.
Now, under the conditions of his contract,
it's reported Bologna still retain the right
to sell the striker to whom they like
despite the clause given by Munich favourability.
However, Bayern have no desire to sign
a new striker of their own,
having obviously splashed out
£100m on Harry Kane.
With Arsenal now giving a free hit at his signing,
it's claimed Edu is ready to fight off
what will ultimately be a €50m,
in brackets, £43m investment for Zerky.
And, again, you'd imagine a lot of that
would depend on if and when
Eddie Nketiah is sold.
Again, he's been linked with Brentford
and he's still being linked with Crystal Palace,
which seems the case for a few years, people.
So, yeah, and apparently Zerky's been linked
with both Manchester United and Newcastle
who might need a striker.
Once again, Arsenal have expressed interest
in signing Zerky,
but Bologna are reluctant
to make a sale this window.
Obviously, apparently he's got the same agent people
as Douglas Luiz,
which could be interesting.
He's represented by Kaya Jurupkin
who, you know, represents a couple of
four-month current Arsenal youth players
as well as a number of players,
as you lot can see there, people.
I don't think this is going to happen.
The sporting director of his current employers
came out and said that's a myth.
Arsenal are working on a late-window deal
to sign Guatape striker
Broyan Moirault.
Forgive me for mispronunciations, people.
Apparently, the well-connected
former Tottenham Spurs
Aston Villa and Everton scout
Brian King explained that
Mikel Arteta wanted to sign
the 26-year-old forward in the summer
and has now reignited his interest
with a release clause now active
in the player's contract.
It's understood the release clause
is worth £17 million,
€20 million, less than half of
what Guatape were asking for
in the summer.
It's believed Mikel Arteta
closely pursued this deal last summer
and asked to add a bid for the player
rejected.
As we know, we're eager to bolster
our striking department
and we're in trouble.
Currently, he's got 14 goals
and one assist in 22 games
and he has previously come up
through Real Madrid's academy,
spent time at Roma
and now finds himself back in Spain,
people, as well as loan spells
with Levante and Wolfsburg,
to his name, people.
The man himself has spoken.
It said,
It's news that has surprised me too.
I haven't spoken to the club
or my agent.
I'm very focused on Guatape
on a day-to-day basis.
I can't imagine he'd say anything else.
Again, we've been linked with Zerky
and a lot of it is
conhingent on obviously
Eddie Nketi
potentially departing.
The Telegraph said,
Obviously, in relation to us
bringing in another striker
but he's under contract
for a while.
Probably the wages,
I can't imagine.
I know there's riches
in the Premier League
and they have to pay handsomely
but I can't imagine people
want to match those wages.
So, you could say
his long-term future
is almost sorted really.
Arsenal are open
to doing business in January
but need to be careful
with their finances
after a summer outlay
of more than 200 million.
Don't think we've learned
anything there, people.
Van Dijk has said,
Arsenal have once again
been linked with Elysee
and so have several
other clubs.
Dean Jones has said,
Obviously, if it comes
to a time where there's
a bidding war for Elysee
then you will have
Man City, Chelsea
and Arsenal all involved
because that's how good he is.
Those are the clubs
who like him.
Liverpool haven't gone
down that path yet
but why not Liverpool
as well if they need
to move on from Salah?
So, it seems like more
of an opinion piece
rather than some
cold-hearted facts, people.
We all know Arsenal
need to sign a forward
and we've gone over
the David Ornstein stuff.
I'm pretty sure
you would have seen
Izzac score against
Manchester City
and we would all love him
but apparently,
Newcastle are treading
close to FFP.
So, if there is a deal
to be done for Izzac
and or Bruno Gomarez,
I don't think I will
end up at Arsenal
but I think our Arsenal fans
would love them at the carpet.
We were this week linked
with Ajax's Brian Broble
who's obviously
a 21-year-old striker.
Apparently, he's got
12 goals and 4 assists
to his name currently
in all comps this season.
Man United have been
linked with him.
I'd say you leave
10 hard to it
because I don't think
he's mustered.
Manchester City and Arsenal
will do battle in the summer
allegedly to sign
Pedro Neto.
Once again, apparently
Arsenal remain huge
admirers of Izzac.
Sources close to the club
have revealed.
I mean, we tried to buy him.
We booked at his release
clause.
Our loss is
Newcastle's game
and we all know
we've got an interest
in Giro Hato.
Dean Jones has said
they haven't got a lot
of money to spend
but they'll put some money
into a defender
if they like.
So, I do think it's worth
being open-minded about
who that might be.
I don't think this is
going to be like
Arsenal going out
and signing the best
fullback in the world.
I think it's going to be
someone that they look
to have as a squad player
but someone that can
grow into their team.
So, certainly something
to look out for
because at the time
when all the talk
is about how much
they need to afford
the reality is
the first signing
through the door
will probably be a defender.
We have been linked
with Giro Hato.
That would be lit
and some Arsenal fans
would like Anton Robertson
who I think is a bit
shaky defensively before
him but has a lot
of other strengths.
Aston Villa allegedly
still have an interest
in Emil Smith-Rowe
and obviously with his
former manager
Una Emre over there
that could be something
to consider people.
I don't know if
Emil Smith-Rowe
will be allowed to leave
but that's what's
being said.
Arsenal might have to
move a couple of players
out to get players in.
There's interest in
Mohamed El Nene from
Turkey and Saudi Arabia
and they'd cash in
on Thomas Partey
if they could
given his injury record
and the fact he's
on good wages.
I'm keen to see what
they do with Smith-Rowe
because I think
Aston Villa interest
is still there.
We know that Arsenal
like Douglas Luiz
but Villa aren't going
to let him go
at this moment in time
because they're competing
for top four themselves
which is what we know.
With that being said
let me know your thoughts
on everything we've
discussed people.
Let me know your thoughts
on all the players.
Let me know your thoughts
on what you believe
should be the priority
in January.
Do you think we need
a striker more,
a winger more,
a centre mid,
a defender etc.
