shaycar co-founding member of Laker Studios dad of a hugely successful family vlogger entrepreneur weight loss Guru author I believe maybe his family Vlogs amassed millions of views I was a Trailblazer effectively in the first vlogging family of YouTube Shaco started his YouTube channel in 2007 and this is where if he was on the YouTube platform to start with you'd see him intermingling with Philip DeFranco I mean that's how I got to know shaycar he's honesty he's comedic Edge his likability he's nerdiness was attractive to many people within the YouTube space and you could see him grow up on YouTube including collecting a wife and a family five kids no less the Shaytards vlog channel was the channel in which they dedicated an entire channel to kind of following Shay and his family around including his life-changing weight loss this rapid growth allowed him to have influence on the platform he'd see him everywhere where the big cheesy Smiley grin everybody loved the ins and outs of the family how they treated each other how they engage with each other how they played you see a lot of current day YouTube in the Shaytards channel in which you know you've got your kids playing channels you've got your family advice channels you've got your life vlogging content and it was all there as one of the co-founders of maker Studio he cashed in with a lot of everybody else when they sold the maker Studio platform to Disney Maker Studios are obviously the people that were behind people like Ray William Johnson Shay Carl initially Philip DeFranco Epic Rap Battles of History the spin-offs of Ray William Johnson's My Favorite Martian basically one of the Juggernaut mcns back in the day with this popularity Shaco was able to collaborate with many people on the YouTube platform once again extending that brand he carried a very wholesome image the Christian family the loving family here's his wife here's his kids it was great until it wasn't anymore in 20 2017 the news broke that Shaker had been embroiled in an affair sending inappropriate messages to a cam girl this obviously was so counter to the Shay Carl's perfectly clean Christian image that the mask started to slip following this Scandal sheikhail and the Shaytards went on Hiatus which initially was supposed to be like a year longer but continued past that in which if you're on a YouTube platform and any social media platform the longer you away the more your audience will gain so from daily uploads to nothing for over a year this substantially stunted his Channel's growth reach and his influence on the platform Shay Carl well it's back actively discussed problems with substances alcohol abuse admitted he admitted that it was a problem in this past that had relapsed around about the time of the accusations of infidelity he struggled with alcohol was a serious problem that he was going to get sorted and try and tackle the Shaytards channel has since returned and it's now vlogging but nowhere near at the success rate that they had previously their videos used to get hundreds and thousands of views per upload and now they're getting around about 10 20 000 views now don't get me wrong that's still huge I'd love 20 30 000 views per video within the first week of uploading and I'm sure he sat there on a lot of money from selling Maker Studios but it just goes to show how far a reputation goes to bolstering a channel and setting up a brand and how far you can fall plus from nine years ago when the Channel first kind of really roared into success and now you can see how the family has grown up and how internet culture has expanded people are used to family vloggers nowadays the family seems to be back to together again and everything's pretty chuggy along
