For today's episode, we want to talk about when is the best time to get implants.
Dental implants is one of our favorite things that we do in our practice.
It's one of our specialties and something I enjoy doing because it allows us to replace those missing teeth.
Previous episodes, we talked about missing teeth.
Now, whether you're missing one tooth, two teeth or even an entire arch or full mouth,
we can give you a permanent solution with dental implants.
The dental implants will replace your teeth, but they're very different from your teeth
because dental implants does not have nerves and it's not surrounded by a ligament
which gives you proprioception feelings and signals to tell you something's going on.
And so we can replace teeth with implants to give you functioning teeth,
to give you the ability to have something permanent and to give you a natural smile back,
something that you lost when you lost your teeth.
And so whether you're missing one teeth or multiple teeth,
dental implants is a solution that we can offer our patients to be able to restore those areas.
Now, there's different solutions in terms of how many implants is always necessary
or what's the recommended number of implants.
And that all depends on the case, depends on bone, depends on your oral health,
depends on your finances, depends on your time.
So there's a lot of different factors that goes into planning your case.
And so you want to discuss that with your dentist
to be able to come up with the best solution for your particular mouth.
And so with one tooth, the best solution is always getting that one single implant
because the teeth next to it, we don't have to file down in terms of making a bridge.
We don't have to consider maybe what we call a Maryland bridge.
We bond on a tooth.
But a single tooth implant will replace a single missing tooth
almost as if it was a second chance in getting a natural tooth back.
But the only difference is it doesn't have nerves, there's no ligaments.
But it will give you function and will give you a beautiful smile.
So missing teeth, we want to replace those with dental implants.
But it may not be the best solution depending on your case.
So we always recommend getting a consultation with your dentist
to see what's going to be the best plan for you.
So thank you for joining us, liking us, subscribe to us.
We'll see you next time.
