thank you Mr Speaker uh you know we often get up and and do these citations uh this one is very personal to me uh Glenn has been a dear friend and a mentor my entire life and today we are applauding him for his nearly 63 years of distinguished fire service on behalf of Spencer County among his many efforts over the year he served as a vital member of the Spencer County volunteer fire department board of directors from 1961 until 1992 during which time the Spencer County Fire Protection District was formed and since 1993 he's been elected by the Board of Trustees to serve as chairperson for the fire district every year a post which he still continues to hold today uh he has provided guidance and Leadership which has been instrumental to the many improvements that have been made to the Fire Protection Service throughout Spencer County 2004 and tribute to his years of service the newly constructed fire station in tville was dedicated in his honor and in so much as this distinguish public servant has labored with the utmost courage and skill to protect the lives and property of the citizens of his community and is demonstrated exemplary professionalism integrity and leadership in the Fulfillment of this duties the members of this honorable body are pleased to honor him today now that would be enough but Glenn also served as president of county fair board for over 25 years he served on the spener County Conservation District for many years as chairman and when I first got to know Glenn he was director for Cay which was our dairy co-op and I'm probably forgetting a lot of the things he's done over the years now Glenn could not be with us today because of his failing Health but I felt very appropriate that we honor him for his years of service to his community we thank him very much Mr Speaker I move adoption that objection so ordered
