Sprayway Torridon Ski Jacket Review

I've come along to the Sprayway stand here. Sprayway, it's a really well-known outdoor brand. This is the Torridon jacket, first launched in 1974, makes it 50 years old now, that's recently been relaunched. It's the classic outdoor mountaineering jacket from Sprayway. You know, I remember it back in years ago, it was kind of like a real classic. Thing is, you can ski in this as well. It's really good for ski touring. It's a triple layer Gore-Tex jacket, a full-on sort of outdoor shell, all the bells and whistles, lots of venting zips in it as well. Really, really nice sort of cuffs over the zips, very, very waterproof, big hood that fits over your helmet. It's a perfectly good enough for ski touring and even alpine skiing, really. And you do see Sprayway on the slopes. I mean, it's not a brand that instantly comes to mind when you think about skiing, but actually I see quite a bit of it. And a jacket like this, you know, it's going to keep you very, very dry and it's a great layering jacket as well. Retail price, £330. So it's not, you know, it's high-end, but actually when you look at what you're getting for that, comparable to some of the other brands, you know, for this kind of quality, for a full Gore-Tex shell jacket, that is a really, really good price. They've also got the insulated version. This is a Torridon insulated jacket. That is £180. So really good layering system. If you've got the insulated version and the shell jacket as well for ski touring, skiing, winter mountaineering, winter hiking, that kind of thing. And there are women's versions of the jacket as well. I'm just going to grab the women's Torridon there. Obviously just different colours, exactly the same kind of jacket, exactly the same technical features and the women's insulated Torridon as well.
