We came to Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture.
We have arrived at our first destination on this trip.
A large elevator takes us to the third floor.
A wonderful door appears in front of us when we get off the elevator.
I can't help but feel excited...
Beyond the door are European antique items.
It seems like they go to France and England once every two months to buy antique items.
The spacious store, approximately 150 square meters in size, has a wide selection of large furniture including cabinets.
In keeping with the store's theme of "antique furniture for everyday use", the furniture has been carefully maintained and is comfortable to use.
No matter how much you like the look of your cupboard, it can be stressful if the door doesn't close properly.
I think the more you want to use furniture for a long time, the more important it is to be comfortable to use.
Is this fabric art?
The faded color and deep texture of the cloth are lovely.
I liked it so much, but I just recently welcomed art into my home, so I decided to hold off...
These are old Holly cards.
The card has a biblical passage or words of Christ written on it and is carried as a good-luck charm in one's wallet.
Wow, I love these tiles...
It's cute and looks like baked goods...
I will buy tiles today too 🫡
Should I use it as an accessory holder or a coaster?
Baskets and boxes are also one of those items that I can't help but pick up.
Just by having old storage tools, a corner of a room can have a wonderful atmosphere.
It works better than you can imagine in terms of both appearance and function.
The antique tableware corner that everyone loves is filled with wonderful items.
I like the light touch and pale colors🕊️
I was able to visit a wonderful shop and it was a good start to my trip.
It's about a 5 minute walk from "antiques midi".
There are cute baskets in front of the store.
This store carries a wide variety of vintage Scandinavian furniture and miscellaneous goods.
Best of all, the selection of chairs is appealing!
Chairs of different colors and shapes are lined up happily.
The one that really caught my attention was this sofa.
The frame has a warm impression typical of Scandinavian furniture.
The retro colors of vintage fabric are so cute!
It has just the right amount of cushioning and is extremely comfortable to sit on.
It's going to be the star of the room.
This is a tiled side table that we also have at home.
Wooden antiques, though, even the condensation on the cups is a concern.
Tile tables are easy to use and easy to wipe off water and dirt.
There is a wide lineup of popular tableware.
The pop of the national flag showing the purchasing source is cute🇸🇪
It was a relaxing time in the wonderful atmosphere of Scandinavian items.
Next we came to the Horie area of Osaka city.
While taking a walk, we will head to our next destination.
"70B" is a vintage shop consisting of 3 floors.
Vintage furniture lines the walls and ceilings of each floor.
What surprised me was that all the furniture was reasonably priced.
There are 4 stores in Osaka and Kyoto.
They seem to be able to achieve this price by purchasing large quantities at once.
The atmosphere of the store is casual and easy to enter.
It might be perfect for someone looking for their first vintage item.
It was crowded with many customers on this day as well.
There were a lot of staff members, and everyone was friendly and easy to talk to☺️
They carefully explained the characteristics and condition of the item.
I decided to purchase this side table, which attracted me at first sight.
I like the combination of twisted legs and rattan material.
I am planning to use it after applying a certain processing, and I will upload a video of it later!
Arrived at today's accommodation.
Nowadays, accommodation costs are rising at all hotels,
This hotel is a relatively inexpensive place to stay.
The interior is also nice and clean.
Free drinks are also available at the attached restaurant "RUUUST".
There is also a favorite cafe nearby, so I have a feeling it will become a regular place to stay when I come to Osaka for work.
After a short rest at the hotel, we headed out for dinner.
A hidden pub located on the second floor of a small building, quietly lit with lights.
We will enjoy our meal at the counter, which has a cozy bar-like atmosphere.
Cheers with ice-cold beer!
You can order from the standard menu to unique dishes.
Each carefully made dish has a delicate taste.
Best of all, it goes well with alcohol!
This is what you should try when you come here.
A service where you can have grilled wagyu beef from the butcher shop "29.central" located on the first floor of the same building.
High-quality meat that is perfectly grilled. it's the best! !
The last one is Osaka's specialty "Nikusui (Simmered Beef and Tofu)".
Delicious food and a cheerful and friendly atmosphere from the staff
It was a great time to relax and unwind from the day's fatigue.
Cafe "LE PRIEURÉ" right across from the hotel
This is actually my favorite restaurant that I visit every time I come to Osaka.
This simple and antique atmosphere creates a calming atmosphere.
Above all, the desserts here are exquisite!
I really wanted to feed it to my husband and sister who came with me.
The three of us ordered all kinds of desserts and shared them.
They were delighted and said, "It's the most delicious sweets I've eaten recently!"
I also felt happy when I heard that.
Delicious coffee and delicious sweets. It's a nice morning
After this, I'm planning to go to Kyoto, but before that there's one shop I'd like to stop by.
"Karani" serves authentic soba noodles in Osaka and Fukushima.
The interior of the restaurant, which is a renovated old folk house, has a nostalgic and gentle atmosphere.
Apparently these are handmade chopsticks.
It said, "Please take it home with you." 🥢
There are two types of soba: "Thinly Sliced Soba" and "Coarsely Ground Soba".
Thinly Sliced Soba is characterized by its smooth texture.
It's delicious and I think I'll eat a lot of it.
Coarsely Ground Soba with a strong texture allows you to enjoy the richer flavor of soba.
Finish off with a thick and rich soba soup.
When I was paying the bill, I could hear a conversation between the store staff and a regular customer.
It seems to be a shop that is loved by the locals.
Look forward to the next Kyoto edition!
