VỊ TƯỚNG VIỆT NAM ĐẦU TIÊN XUẤT BINH CHINH PHẠT TRUNG QUỐC
Hello everyone, let's continue our history.
Today, we will talk about the first general in Vietnam's history
who led the army to conquer China.
Many of you may have guessed that it was Ly Thuong Kiet.
Ly Thuong Kiet lived in the 11th and 12th century.
He was born in 1019 and died in 1105.
His real name is Ngo Tuan, also known as Thuong Kiet.
According to Vietnamese folklore, Ly Thuong Kiet is the descendant of Ngo Quyen.
Ly Thuong Kiet's real name is related to the victory of the 2nd Anti-Japanese War
by the Vietnamese army and people.
The first time, as we know, was under the reign of Le Hoang.
Among them, the most prominent are the battles that Dicthon sent troops to conquer China.
This is considered one of the most heroic battles in the history of Vietnam.
The battles were fought in the years 1075 and 1076.
In the year 1010, Ly Thuong Kiet founded the Ly family.
In order to strengthen the northern border,
Ly Thuong Kiet used the policy of giving princesses to the mountain leaders
to restrict their relations.
Three kings of Ly Thuong Kiet were Ly Thai To, Ly Thai Tong and Ly Thanh Tong.
Vietnam has developed stably and vigorously.
In the north, the Tung family, since it was established in 1960,
has faced many troubles.
And as we know, whenever there is a chaos in the house,
the Chinese feudal lords want to use war with neighboring countries
as a way to strengthen the position of the ruling world
and spread public opinion in the country.
Therefore, the main focus is to attack the south of China
to relieve tension and become a strategy of the Tung family.
The Tung family has planned to invade Vietnam.
Since 1070, Vuong An Thach,
an official in charge of political and economic affairs in the Tung family,
has come to the south and wants to attack outside the border.
Vuong An Thach and the king of the Tung family
have just lost the battle of Chiem Thanh.
The army is no longer a hundred thousand.
The queen can take the army of Ung Chau to invade Dao Chi.
Dao Chi is now called Dai Viet.
In particular, to clear the way for the plan to invade the south,
the Tung family has turned Ung Chau into a military base
to prepare for the troops to defeat the Viet.
And Dao Viet gave To Giam, a experienced general,
a lot of experience in the battle against the army
of the leader Nung Chi Cao before to command this base.
Nung Chi Cao is the leader of the Tung family,
who controls the land area equivalent to today's Cao Bang.
At that time in Dai Viet,
Ly Thuong Kiet proposed the strategy of initiating the invaders,
that is, to take the initiative to lead the army to attack the Tung family first.
In 1072, King Ly Thanh Tung passed away.
The crown prince of Can Duc was only 7 years old at that time.
The title was Emperor Ly Nhan Tong.
Thai Phi Yi Lan was the main one,
which was supported by the gods,
especially the two branches of Chieu Hinh,
Ly Thuong Kiet and Ly Dao Thanh,
so the situation of Dai Viet was very stable.
Although the Tung family tried to keep it a secret,
but thanks to the investigation,
our country still held the intention of the Tung family.
Especially in 1073,
which is about 3 years since the Tung family decided to attack Dai Viet.
A Tung general, Tu Ba Tuong,
was not respected,
so he brought national secrets to exchange with Ly family.
Therefore, Dai Viet was quite fully aware
of the situation of preparing for the war of the Tung family.
At this time, the Tung family was training
and training about 10,000 troops
at 3 bases in Ung Chau, Khom Chau and Liem Chau,
but could not fight right away
because these troops were recruits from the South China Sea.
The Tung family intended to add
45,000 more warriors in the north
to be added to the southern battlefield
to form a main force,
which would then advance against Dai Viet.
In that situation,
General Ly Thuong Kiet
urged the Tung family to sit still
and wait for the enemy's advance
to break the Tung family's nose.
At the same time,
the Tung family set up a strategy
called Tien Phat Che Nhan
to decide to launch a large-scale battle
to attack the Tung family.
The first was the battles of Khom Chau and Liem Chau,
the battles that Dai Viet carried out
the winning tactics.
To carry out the Tien Phat Che Nhan strategy,
Dai Viet mobilized 10,000 troops
to attack the Tung family's base in Ung Chau,
including the government forces
of Chieu Dinh
combined with the troops of the ethnic minorities
in the northern mountains.
As mentioned,
Ly family had a good relationship
with the leaders of ethnic minorities
when he gave them the princess.
According to the plan,
the troops of Chieu Dinh
led by Ly Thuong Kiet,
including Thuy Quan and Luc Quan,
departed from Quang Ninh,
heading to the east
to attack Khom Chau.
The troops of the ethnic minorities
led by Tong Da
divided into 4 groups
and headed to the Tung family.
According to the plan,
the western troops would make a move
to attack the Tung family.
In terms of the Tung family,
the defense system of Ung Chau
consists of two parts.
The total of 5,000 troops
has the task of guarding the waterfront
where Dai Viet, Dong Quan
and Chong Thanh are located.
Among them, 2,000 troops are stationed in Ung Chau.
The remaining 3,000 troops are divided into 5 camps
adjacent to the Dai Viet border.
Khom Chau and Liem Chau
are adjacent to Quang Ninh and Lang Son.
At the end of October 1075,
Dai Viet began to attack the Tung family.
It took nearly 2 months
for the news to reach Chieu Dinh.
As predicted by Ly Thuong Kiet,
the Tung army was attracted to the west
and attacked the east.
Khom Chau found out
and reported to General Du Thanh
that Tran Vinh Thai was at risk of Dai Viet's attack.
But Thai did not believe.
When he heard that Dai Viet's eastern army
was suddenly attacked by Ly Thuong Kiet,
he still sat quietly
and drank wine.
When Ly Thuong Kiet's army came in,
the Tung army could not resist.
On December 30, 1075,
Khom Chau was captured.
Dai Viet's army only lost more than a week
after crossing the Tung land to reach Khom Chau.
Ly Thuong Kiet's army
did not fight a single battle,
but still easily took all of Cai Mang.
Hearing that Khom Chau was defeated,
the Tung army in Liem Chau tried to defend
but could not resist.
Three days later, Liem Chau was defeated.
The Tung side was captured by the Dai Viet army
with 8,000 prisoners,
used to bring stolen goods to the ship
and later killed.
After that, Ly Thuong Kiet led the army to Ung Chau
in coordination with the western army
determined to defeat Ung Chau.
To defeat Ung Chau,
Ly Thuong Kiet used a strategy
to defeat Van first and Vo later.
Ly Thuong Kiet led his army to the inner territory.
The Tung side had no more troops to block the way.
Ly's army had reached Ung Chau.
The Tung army was no longer there,
but Ly Thuong Kiet was still worried
that the Tung people would block the way
and make it difficult for Ly's army.
Therefore, Ly Thuong Kiet wrote
The Punishment of Tung Lo Bo Van
and Wrongly Written on the Road
to punish the Tung people.
The Tung people were both happy and scared
when they heard the announcement
of Ly Thuong Kiet's army.
Therefore, whenever the Tung people
saw Ly Thuong Kiet's banner from afar,
they said it was the army of Ly's people
and from then on, Ly's people's army
went very far without being blocked
by the Tung people.
Despite the sudden and heavy loss
of the southern border
by the attack of Ly Thuong Kiet,
the Tung people were still strong
and Ung Chau was deep in the Tung territory.
King Tung and King An Thach
negotiated based on the strength
of the Ung Chau city
to occupy Dai Viet
and allow a large army
to go the other way
to attack our territory.
Ung Chau is a strong city
and has a lot of military
because this is the place
where the Tung people
were going to attack Dai Viet.
Among the Ung Chau people
is To Giam,
a veteran general of the Tung people.
To Giam used the property
distributed to the people in the city
to encourage the spirit
and make the whole city united.
Ly Thuong Kiet surrounded the city
for more than a month.
Dai Viet thought of a way
to dig a deep trench
into the wall of the city
to break into the city.
The Ung Chau army discovered the trench
and To Giam set a fire
right in the mouth of the trench
causing the Dai Viet army to be injured.
Then the Dai Viet army
used a bow
to shoot fireballs
and firebombs into the city
causing many casualties.
Ung Chau was burned in many places
and there was not enough water to make a fire.
The city was also short of drinking water
and the people had to drink dirty water.
The epidemic from then on
caused many people to die
and the soldiers also died.
However, the wall of the city
was still unbreakable
and the fireballs
were not strong enough
to break the wall of Ung Chau.
Finally, Ly Thuong Kiet
used a special method
to dig a trench
into the city
causing many casualties
and many people to die.
The Dai Viet army
poured water
into the city
causing many casualties.
The city was still
full of dead soldiers
and the people of Ung Chau
were not happy with the situation
so they killed 36 people
and buried them in the trench.
The city was still full of dead soldiers
and the people of Ung Chau
were not happy with the situation.
Ly Thuong Kiet
ordered to kill all the people
in the city.
On March 1, 1976,
the city was besieged by the Japanese army
after 42 days of siege.
The number of people in Ung Chau
was killed up to 58,000.
The Dai Viet army
also suffered more than 10,000 casualties
along with many battles.
With the siege of Ung Chau,
all strategies and strategies of the Viet Cong
were destroyed.
Ly Thuong Kiet and his 2 teams
were about to attack the Dai Viet army
but he had a perfect plan.
He took a stone from the Ung Giang River
and a road to the south
to attack the Dai Viet army
before returning to the city.
Ly Thuong Kiet reported that
he was about to lead his troops
to attack Tan Chau.
The Dai Viet army
took the initiative to retreat
to prepare for defense.
Some of the Dai Viet scouts
were intercepted by the Japanese
officers, the victims,
and the soldiers of the Dai Viet army.
The Dai Viet army burned down
the city, destroyed the city,
destroyed the fortifications,
brought many scouts and prisoners.
No scouts dared to chase them
because they were afraid of being
intercepted by Ly Thuong Kiet
and worried that the Dai Viet army
would continue to attack Tan Chau.
After the capture,
all the scouts were destroyed
by the Dai Viet army.
The prisoners were also killed.
It was a trap to destroy the city
and the scouts intended for the invasion.
A large area of the Quang Tây
was destroyed.
The Dai Viet army
killed more than 100,000 soldiers.
By the end of March
Ly Thuong Kiet safely
withdrew all his troops back to the country.
The Viet Cong army
did not have much time to rest
or celebrate the victory
because everyone understood
that the upcoming war would be very tough.
Chieu Dinh Nha Ly
took action to mobilize the Dai Viet army
to prepare for the battle
As we know,
Ly Thuong Kiet
withdrew to defend
against the advance of the Viet Cong
in the years 1076-1077
and finally pushed the Viet Cong
out of the Dai Viet territory.
This is the largest and most fierce war
in East Asia as well as Southeast Asia
in the 11th century.
Also in the second anti-Viet Cong battle,
Dai Viet spread the poem
Nam Quoc Son Ha
This famous poem
is considered the first independent
dictionary of Vietnamese history
to affirm the sovereignty of the Dai Viet
in its land areas.
The river of the South Mountain
is wide and the sky is clear.
If the storm comes,
we will be swept away.
In the second anti-Viet Cong battle,
Dai Viet won and caused
a lot of casualties.
Of the 10,000 original Viet Cong soldiers,
only more than 20,000 soldiers returned.
Of the 10,000 original Viet Cong soldiers,
only more than 3,000 soldiers returned.
Of the 20,000 original Viet Cong soldiers,
only more than 50,000 soldiers returned.
The total cost of war
was 5,190,000 taels of gold.
One year after winning the battle
against the Viet Cong,
King Ly Nhân Tông
opened a deal with the Viet Cong.
It was a soft diplomatic policy
with a large country.
Dai Viet asked the Viet Cong
to return the provinces in the highlands.
The Viet Cong agreed
with the condition that
Ly's family had to return the captured civilians and soldiers.
However, Ly's family only returned
all 221 people.
Before letting them go,
Ly's family gave the 15-year-old son
three words, the emperor.
The 20-year-old man
liked the word, the leader.
The three girls liked the word, the spectator.
It was all to humiliate the Viet Cong.
