Hong Kong News introduces three must-try dishes in Vietnam.
Let's forget about pho, bún bò Huế or bún chả,
the most famous names when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine.
Instead, SCMP suggests that tourists should try Hanoi's fish noodles,
Hồ An's tofu pudding and Phú Quốc's kuy teav noodles when they come to this Southeast Asian country.
The Hong Kong News said that the three dishes above are not as famous as pho for international tourists,
but they are also not less attractive and are the characteristics of provinces along the length of the country.
Accordingly, if you want to explore Vietnam according to the food journey,
you can start from Hanoi and enjoy the fish noodles.
Don't mistake them for bún chả nếm, which is also like most of the dishes with water in Vietnam.
The fish noodles have a rich, sweet broth made from pork bones for a long time.
Then, they are added and mixed with ingredients, tomatoes, vinegar, vegetables,
and the last one is the small, crispy fried fish.
SCMP writes that a visit to Central Vietnam is definitely a must-try dish when you come to Hồ An.
The food is considered excellent when it combines all the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.
Cao Đầu is the name of a noodle dish in Quảng Nam.
This is considered a specialty dish.
Most tourists come to try when they come to Hồ An Old Quarter.
Yellow noodles are used with shrimp, pork,
all kinds of vegetables and water are used only in a thick sauce,
different from a full bowl such as noodles, other noodles.
In addition to delicious dishes, Hồ An is also attractive to tourists because of the old streets,
the old yellow paintings and the peaceful atmosphere.
The streets are lit by lanterns, the light is flickering every time the sun sets.
Noodles are the third dish to be mentioned.
It originates from Bún Tôm Bình Định, but Phú Quốc noodles are of a different type.
Noodles are popular among the people of the Central Vietnam and the Phú Quốc party
from 1995 to 1996 when they were sold for only 2,000 VND per bowl.
To this day, it has become a dish that everyone must mention and want to try once,
with a price of about 40,000 to 50,000 VND.
In addition to fresh ingredients, the main attraction of tourists is the process of making noodles
and the process of making the sauce by hand.
A bowl of noodles usually contains fish, shrimp, fresh squid with chopped green onions,
broth, and seasonings, then mixed well to make the main ingredient.
When the bowl of noodles is brought up, the customer has to make their own dipping sauce according to their personal taste.
The noodle shops in Phú Quốc mostly have a table full of spices, salt, seasoning seeds,
sugar, pepper, chili, cinnamon, or a large bowl of salt dipped in advance
and the customer just needs to add chili to his liking.
Customers mix the sauce evenly until it turns orange,
One of the most famous noodle shops in Phú Quốc is Kiến Xây,
and Bruno A Nông, a Spaniard, is the chef of a hotel near Phú Quốc.
He also admires this dish very much.
The dipping sauce has made the dish stand out and hit all the flavors, Bruno said.
