Hubbell the dog rescued by firefighters from storm drain in New Jersey

quite the journey for a curious dog in New Jersey the dog named Hubble wandered into a drainage pipe in Sparta and just couldn't find his way out but thanks to a group of firefighters Hubble Is back safe and sound with his owner New Jersey reporter Tony Yates has more on Hubble's big adventure these are some of the men and woman of rescue 4 in Sparta they were Heroes Sunday night when this big guy Hubble somehow got stuck in a storm drain the firefighters are all vol I was eating dinner the call came in from the pager Rush here very excited to go save a dog I was in the middle of taking the trash out I heard the pager uh I have two dogs myself so you know I was going to do this job no matter what first they had to try to coax Hubble to come towards them we could hear him barking uh couldn't quite figure out he navigated his way through some pipes between the storm drains along the edges of the road and think he just got disoriented and couldn't find his way back out then with the mega toolbox they bring to every rescue they began lifting the storm drains the adrenaline starts pumping and you get everybody gets worked up a little bit and you know um does the best they can the pictures show the Rescue all 105 lbs of Lucy the smallest of The Rescuers her first month on the job reaching for the huge pup there was too much dirt for the dog to get out so whatever entrance it had it made its way to a point where it couldn't It could only get its head out so we had to dig a little bit of the dirt out so it had enough wiggle room to get its body through and success Sparta is a close Community with a dedicated volunteer group of firefighters who put Sunday plans aside to help a much too curious dog he must have found a opening large enough that he could squeeze in where where all the drainage eventually empties out and uh just went through the network there and got to a place where he couldn't get himself turned around and back out the way he came we're going to always give 100% this one just meant a little bit more in Spart a Tony G's Channel 7 I would don't be so
