and with that hot weather outside
there's nothing more popular for kids
and adult adults alike to take a part of
than taking a dip in the pool 22 news
reporter Heath Cal is live in
Springfield Heath you got some tips for
how kids and adults can stay safe around
the pool this
summer I sure did Jack you know I mean I
know you and I love swimming together
and thankfully we've passed the age
where we don't need adult supervision
but for parents with young ones it's a
different
story the sun is out and temperatures
are in the '90s perfect weather for
anyone to take a dip in the pool and
cool off but unfortunately every single
summer there are times when a fun time
in the pool becomes a dangerous
situation parents need to follow all the
precautions to keep their kids safe just
keep an eye on your child it's almost
common sense if they can't swim don't
leave them alone at any time even if
you're in the kitchen watching them
accidents can happen so quickly there
are safety features designed to alert
adults when unsupervised children enter
a pool though and heroni Miss tells me
pool alarms are becoming more popular
and on a day as hot as this one many
young ones just want to jump in the pool
before their parents have a chance to
supervise them but before a certain age
that's just not the safe thing to allow
three young brothers from wilam told me
their pool is just irresistible on a day
like today it's nice because the Sun is
hot so the water is cold but as fun as
the pool is they know what the number
one rule is from their mom oh someone
watching you some other tips parents can
follow are no CPR to get your kids to
take swimming lessons and to have a
fence around your
pool the CDC states that more children
ages 1 to four in the United States die
from drowning than any other cause of
death so if you're around a toddler this
summer it really is important to keep
them safe if they're around a pool for
now working for you live in Springfield
