I wrote another book. She dies at the end.

hello guys it's Mel I am back in Thailand I am at a recording studio in changai I'm recording an audiobook for a client shout out to perz but I figured while I'm here and I have this whole setup going on I might as well just share a little update on my writing projects if you are on my newsletter first of all thank you I appreciate it and second of all that means you heard the big news I have a book coming out in a matter of months fairly soon it is called men and and it will be published in may see what I did there on May 11th I can't even describe how much I have enjoyed the writing process for this book it is not the second book in the belladon series but it is set in the belladon world it is set about 30 years before the events of Night sheet Academy and it follows a young Dr blimy back when he was at the Academy guys we get to see different filtrations different characters different reasons why people join the academy this is a comedic tragedy at least I'm trying to make it comedic it is at least funny for me that has to mean something right the exciting news is I'm sending it out to Beta readers today I want a little bit more time to work on the second half but I figured I've kept people who signed up to Beta read it waiting long enough I might as well give them the first half to start reading and I can't wait to hear what people think I'm a little bit scared it's always scary to share my work uh especially in the phase when it is not very polished but I'm just finally excited to have other people read it and get to know these characters especially since there's there's so many new characters we've never met before if you are interested in beta reading mailin I already have quite a few people signed up but I do want a few more people so if you're interested sign up soon uh I'm especially especially interested in having you join the beta reading team if you have not read Night sheet Academy and I say this because I really want people to be able to enjoy this book whether they have read you know the main series or not and I want to make sure that things make sense you know so I would like some people to join who have no context whatsoever who have never read night Academy or maybe even never read any of my books I'll have a link in the description and I'll just turn it off once there's enough people who have joined so you may be wondering what is Menin about if you Red Knight Trea Academy you probably have a little bit of an idea of how the story goes but a spoiler alert M dies at the end and this story is showing how that happened and how the heck Dr blimy was involved we're all dying at the end but we don't live every day just in agony over our impending doom so that's how I want you guys to feel about this book it will be tragic but just enjoy the fun moments you know before we get there so to tell you a little bit about the story it kicks off with bloy at 16 years old getting selected to join belladon Guardian Academy and the last thing that he wants to do is join a military program he's come from a very Posh lifestyle and that's not really his thing but unfortunately some bad circumstances have led to his family being cancelled and the only way to redeem their reputation is for him to join this program and prove their loyalty to the Empire so he ends up going at the Academy he meets Meen who is an orphan from a small town with very strong moral beliefs and her friend slash brother figure slash TIG who really does not get along with blimy the three of them get involved in one big massive mess about 4 years after graduation that's the general gist of the story there are of course some other characters who you will meet my heart my heart I will rip out my heart and give it to caner I love him he is the best he wasn't even supposed to be that important of a character he made me cry before any of the blimy men TIG scenes like it's just something about him I just I feel so bad you know yeah anyways I love caner and I can't wait for you guys to meet him I love Cove um Wick you're all right but I have been blabbering about this book long enough if you are interested once again applications to Beta read are open and the link is in the description before I end off this video I just wanted to share a couple other unrelated updates first of all no scroll Club I started this email newsletter Community to connect people who also wanted to leave social media with me and I think we're at over 250 members now we got noticed by Matt dlla I've been watching Matt's videos since high school and I sent him an email um not really expecting anything and he responded so that was that was very cool one more thing I don't talk too much about my freelance work on my YouTube channel just because I feel like I wanted to keep YouTube more of a creative Med medium I've actually been doing voice acting and copy editing for like seven years now which is crazy I started in high school and I'm still going at it on the side I have been really enjoying doing writer calls lately so if you were interested in having a call with me to discuss either the writing process the editing process the design process the publishing process or or what I know about marketing then feel free to check out my writer coaching service I'll have a link in the description below yeah I've been having a lot of fun doing that with clients um so I just wanted to do more of it so I'm promoting it here for the first time weird so I think that wraps up this video uh thank you for watching keep your eyes peeled for mail and join my newsletter if you haven't already [Music] thanks going to get out [Music] town
