Vegan Hazelnut Milk.

Nut Milk

Hi there! This week I thought I would make some hazelnut milk. Now you've probably tried
it in the supermarkets but they have a lot of preservatives in them. So this is a very
simple, nutritious drink that you can use in your cereal or just enjoy a glass of it.
Main ingredient is hazelnuts and I'm going to naturally sweeten it a little bit. It will
last in the fridge for a couple of days because it's best to drink fresh. So I think let's
get started.
So for this recipe you're going to need one cup of hazelnuts. They've been soaked for
a couple of hours. You're going to need a couple of dates. I like to use three so it
depends on your sweetness levels. Half a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Two cups of good quality
water. And then of course a jar to put the yummy drink into. You will need a food processor
or a very good blender. We're going to put all the ingredients into the food processor
and whizz it up. Next we're going to take it from the food processor and put it through
a muslin bag or you can actually get nut bags. It's through a funnel there and I'm just putting
it into a jug because it just makes it a lot easier. When it's nearly all through you will
need to squish it down just to get all that lovely fluid out. You'd be surprised how much
you can get out when you kind of squeeze the bag more because all you really want left
is the nuts that haven't been liquidised. The shells. There you have it. Simple, highly
nutritious, seriously delicious hazelnut milk without the dairy. The hazelnuts that were
left in the bag after you strained it through, just shove them in the oven, roast them a
little bit and then you can put it on your cereal in the morning or on your fruit. Really
really really delicious and it's nice not to waste anything. Well listen that's it for
today. I really hope you enjoyed watching this video. If you did, give it a thumbs up
and I will see you again next week for another healthy recipe. Thanks so much for watching. Bye!
