wow very neat cute isn't it tidy cabin
yeah and a extra little bunk house or
something over there yeah Che kind of
like a a gazebo to sit outside and enjoy
an evening yeah glass of wine or beer or
cup of tea uh the first two sound good
to me some whiske
also
wow really really clean and well kept
yeah look at the countertops jeez
yeah water
supply cleaning products lots of
cabinets little fridge storage area and
there's a gas
stove with a full propane thing oh wow
22nd of April 2022 that was filled up I
tell you something the volunteers have
really really looked after this cabin
yeah big time and what's
uh what's through this
door kind of don't know where to look
first lots of little knickknacks yeah
okay so in here is just a bunch of uh
extra supplies building materials and
whatnot so obviously kitchen so this
would have been the main living
eating bedroom I guess yeah yeah kitchen
got space for some some carts so did you
know a family so gold was discovered in
these mountains back in 18 1880s 1890s
yeah and then this particular mine got
its name in 1905 but a family moved in
in the
1930s and they stayed here to the 19
1970s and that's when the volunteers
took over and uh kept it yeah well they
do have a a beautiful view and you can
see kind of the mountain is just dotted
with little mines everywhere and there's
some books here oh look there's some
photographs wow these old photos there's
a picture here of what the cabin looked
like in the early
1930s
wow and then the volunteers doing it up
look at that isn't that great and they
do this in their own time with their own
money and that's why they want us to
keep it a secret M because obviously
they do have issues with vandalism right
and there is a passion to keep history
alive and you
know more power to them we we love
that and you got the flag so you can
stay here fly the
flag oh
Coca-Cola
bottle rules for the
cabin oh yeah quite a bit so during 1930
and
1943 this mine produced over
$50,000 worth of
gold true story
nice so should we check out that
other y structure now

locked up tighter than Fort Knox
it's a nice little cabin just one room
shower now you don't see that very often
no that's uh that's neat okay so just a
bucket to fill it up yep and you turn it
on nice very neat simple
effective then yeah sitting
area run some windows what's nice little
Stu
yeah and then this looks like one of
those freezer doors
what it's back in
here oh again uh storage yep storage
more building
materials
nice well I'll tell you something if you
were caught out in a
storm nice and clean there's no rat poop
anywhere yeah cement floors it's just uh
it's perfect
yeah huh
great see what else we can
discover
oh do you see what I see well I
certainly do let's take a look
and no trip would be complete without a
trip to the
L I find these signs really funny when
you see
these inhalation
Hazard flammable solid
oh no
doors but a l made for two very very
clean I'm not going to lift the lids
we'll spare that but hey you could sit
and do your
business and look out at the wash

you can see tons of little addicts
everywhere in the Hills oh yeah they're
just all over yeah so in the early 1900s
there were lots and lots of claims that
went in so much so that in 1911 a mill
was built not far from here and they
ended up having to pipe in water 4 miles
away to the mill from a spring wow
