This vlog is a "to be continued" episode from last vlog where I ran into a dead-end roadblock as it was starting to rain, get late, and thunder real hard... I ended up getting really wet, having to change my plans, and something really embarrassing happened, TWICE. You will certainly enjoy the glory of this magical beautiful place of incredible lakes in Montebello, Mexico. Makes you almost feel like you're in the Caribbean.
Yeah. Nope. Okay. Well, what to do next? It's certainly raining now.
You know what's crazy? I think I just passed through a time zone. It's 5 11 and on my phone
it's 4 7. Yeah, please get the time zone. All right, let's do that. The sun's going to go down.
I wonder if I can go into town and get out of the rain like a tad. Oh geez.
Okay, I'll let you sit. Okay, I'm gonna go down this road.
Made it to the cabin for the night of the rain. Look at this. Got a king-size bed. And then look,
the lake is right here. Absolutely gorgeous. The rain is still coming down. I put my bike
there. I think it's 5 something pm. Kind of wet. No, I'm kind of wet. Certainly wet. Gotta go pay
him. But look at this. I think I'll change, pay, maybe eat a little, and maybe explore in the rain.
Now it is super raining, but also the sun came out a little. I'm gonna wait to change
because I'll just get other clothes wet. Okay, now to go and pay and see if there's anything
to eat at the restaurant. That's my hut right there. And that's the lake. And there's my bike.
Gracias. Restaurant not open today. Apparently there's a little tiendita, a five-minute walk.
One time someone told me 15 minutes and it was an hour. I'm gonna take a walk. I'm not really that
hungry, but just for the fun of it. Look at this lake. I think the most beautiful thing so far
that it is so still, so still, even with all this rain. Wow. It is beyond. I asked him,
is there a little tienda somewhere? And he said, yeah, like down the road.
I said, what do they have? And he's like, who knows?
Tiene guacamole. Hola. Hay aguacate. Tiendita. Aquí o? 10 metros, 15 metros, mano izquierda.
En esta calle? Sí. Después de esta casa? Sí, pasando esta. Ah, okay. Gracias. No guacamole there.
So the tiendita is after this house. Let's see what they have. Hola, buenas tardes. El tiendita está cerrado.
Como? Gracias. Hola, como estas? Y que tiene aquí? Vegetales o? No, solamente esos. Okay, muchas gracias.
You know what? Let's take a quick walk. Look at this property. So this is actually the area where
I would camp if it wasn't raining. I would have camped right on this grass.
I just fell and I think those girls are laughing at me.
That's so funny. Oh my God. Even the water right here is green. I doubt the camera can see it,
but even with the rain, look, it's green. Check it out. Slippy. It's super slippy.
Oh my God. I literally just fell. You know what? It's these stupid boots. They're so not grippy
and it's freaking slippy. Oh my God. Did I catch that on camera? Oh my God. So embarrassing.
It's like moss. It's like, it's like a rock, but it's so slippy.
I can't believe I just fell in my house and I got it on camera. Oh my God.
Oh my God. So nice. It looks like the Caribbean sea. You can see like turquoise. Wow. This is
amazing. It's like glass. Look how turquoise it is. Oh my God. I wish I could ride my motorcycle
up here, but I don't think I can. I seriously don't think I've seen a place more beautiful.
So dreamy. It is like so blue and turquoise. So flat. There's not a wrinkle even with the
rain. It is so flat. It looks like Caribbean sea right here. I am just going to enjoy this place
so much. I love lakes. I'm like blown away. There are several that are like this, that are
this beautiful and different and apparently different colors. So I cannot wait to
explore them more. I wonder if people swim. Remember I'm a chicken with swimming.
Oh, there's kayak. Holy moly. If I can kayak. Well, I'm so glad I came out here. Even in the
rain and the clouds. Incredible. I've said that like a hundred times. I think I will finally go
and get dry and cozy. Well, in case you're curious, this room was $400, $420 a night,
which is about $21. Not bad for a rainy night.
