2024 Must Have Tesla Model Y Accessories for New Owners! #tesla

Hey guys, Paul here. Welcome back to the channel. It's been about a couple months now since Tesla offered 0.99% interest on all the Tesla Model Y trims and I believe it lasts about a couple months for that offer. Now it's already expired but I think some of you may already took delivery of your new Tesla Model Y and a few of you might be getting ready to take delivery of your new Tesla Model Y and I have been using this Tesla Model Y long range for a little bit more than a year now. It's been an awesome car and I also have tested so many accessories for my Tesla Model Y. So in today's video, I will share some of the essential accessories for your Tesla Model Y. You know, after you take delivery of the car, what you would need for your car and also some of the must-have tech like a front display and I'll make sure to put all the links of all the products in the video today in the description down below with the special discount code for you too. Now let's start with the first must-have accessory. Let's go! Let's start the accessories for your new Tesla Model Y from the exterior of the car first. So first few things that you will need and one of them would be a mud flap for your Tesla Model Y. This will protect the side paint of your car because it'll protect your car to kick up the rocks and dirt to the side panel of your car. I got this one from Spigen and it's been really really awesome. It has a great design and it functions really well which you can see here. I had this throughout the whole winter here in Colorado and this is the rear end of it. It has this really cool texture similar to like carbon fiber texture but it's not. It's really really nice and all of their lineup, their product lineup have this cool texture along with them and it's really really simple to install. Let me show you a quick installation guide on this mud flap for your Tesla Model Y from Spigen. First just use the tool that came in the package and then remove the plastic clips just like so. For the rear mud flap there's a screw on the bottom right here. I believe this is 10 millimeters. So just use the tool that came in the box and unscrew it out. This is the screw. Now we just place the mud flap and then align with the holes on the inside and the bottom. After that just use the provided plastic clips and then lock it in place. Just put the bolt back on bottom and screw it in and then it's done. Front there's no extra screws so just two plastic clips to replace the OEM stock one and pretty much that's it. Not only it has a great design and really easy to install, it's really durable because I went through, like I mentioned to you before, I went through the whole winter with it. Let me find a clip or picture of it after went through crazy snow. All right so we saw how durable and how strong and well designed it is. Let's go to the next one which is just right next to it. They are wheel covers for your stock 19-inch Gemini wheels. Your Model Y would come with that silver stock Gemini wheels and it does not protect the original alloy wheels inside at all but as you can see this one will protect the whole rim of the wheels. Let me show you a few scratches. As you can see here, you see I scratched, I curved it but then I didn't damage the wheel on the inside, just damaged the wheel covers which helps protect the wheels. Not only it helps protect the wheels, it also offers a better design, better look on your car. Let me show you the overall look of the wheels real quick. Let me go on the other side. As you can see looks really really cool too. It offers a better design than of course original wheel covers from Tesla and they even offer better range than Tesla wheel covers. The wheel covers from YesLag actually added 15 miles of range compared to the OEM wheel covers. I got these from YesLag and these are only a few wheel covers that they are directional meaning both left and right so they are facing the same way so it's turning this way so that helps a lot with efficiency of the car. Let me show you both sides turning the same direction. As you can see here, see this curve right here turning to the front so when it spins, spin the same directions on both side left and right. These are really awesome wheel covers. Alright, let's go to the next accessory here. The next one that you would need for your Tesla both Model 3 and Model Y would be lifting jack pads. I got these from Spigen and as I mentioned before they continue with that really cool carbon fiber like texture on their products. This is just the box of the lift jack pads so it has this really functional box. It has this velcro in the back as you can see there and I can just attach it in the rear trunk and when I want to use it I just open it up and then just take out the pad. I just lift the car up or change your tires just put it underneath the car just right there right under so this will protect the jack from damaging bottom of your car and when you're done using it you just put it back in just like so and then just close the package. Now let's go through the interior of the car. Before we go inside the interior since we are back here in the rear trunk of my Model Y as you can see here the back of the second row seat has this protective material pad on it because originally it would have this you can see carpet material so when you fold your seat down to put anything in the back of the trunk it might damage the back of your seat or it will leave like dirt and this will be really hard to clean with this material on the back of your seat so these seat covers will help protect the seat and it'll be so much easier to clean the back of your seat. I believe I got these from Last Fit. Yes so there are three different pieces and they're simply just attached on the back of your seat really really simple to install and one more thing is this rear trunk liner. I also got this liner from Spigen as you can see the logo is really really good and comfort really nice material you can see that cutting that really cool texture on here on even on the liner end the liner you can fold the liner easily if you want to open the sub trunk part and it fits really really well in the rear trunk space it's perfectly fit the space and since we are back here there are a few cool stuff back here that you might need so the next accessories would be tire inflator these came in really really handy for me throughout you know the ownership of the car both model Y and my model 3 over there I have one of each in the car so the first one is the power one with the 12 volt socket power so you can either plug in the back of your model Y in the rear like this or you can plug in the front center console which has the power which has the 12 volt socket to plug in the power and this is powerful one and you can just you know go it's the cable is long enough for you to feel each wheels front and rear both sides of the car I've been using this for I believe two two years now since I got my model three now I have my model Y still using it really really cool I got this one from Vac Life hence really really handy and if you don't want a big bulky size tire inflator you can use a portable one like this portable tire inflator so this has a built-in battery you can just recharge it and then just turn on to use it and just plug this tire inflator cable in and then just inflate your tire it's really really simple like that I have a few choices for this wireless tire inflator too all right the next one would be this side pocket storage as you can see model Y has two pockets left and right I put a lot of stuff in there so it has this inner liner let me show you the full products before the installation and what came with them so these are the storage bins for the rear and the trunk space of your model Y all right let's put these two in first so this is the inner part this is all silicone rubber so it protects from everything that's will get your space in here dirty because it's really really hard to clean in there so this is definitely a must for me so we just put it in like that that's it so let me show you pretty much covers everything inside here so you don't have any duds or small rocks let's say you go to the beach you want to put your flip-flops in here and the all the sand will just stay in here and when you want to clean it just take this one out and then clean it it also came with a lid for it which matches the material of your trunk space see it looks pretty much exact the same and it has this little handle hook so you can just pull it open really really convenient okay so same thing on this side as you can see same thing here came with the lid that matches your material one more benefit is that when you have stuff in the underneath here because of the lid now you can put something else on top of it too so it's more organized and it has like second layer to protect the stuff in the underneath it and you can put anything on the top only website that has different options for you is YesLag. YesLag offer both the older motorway and newer motorway because older car newer car this portion of the storage has different a little bit different shape and size also they also offer the one with a third row or seven seater motorway too Spigen also offer a sub trunk liner with the same texture on it has the Spigen brand on the sides really soft has a cushion and good quality I can't really put in a sub trunk right now because I have something inside the sub trunk I'll show you later in the video and they also have a sunshade for your front windshields I have a few options I'll show you later so one from Spigen and a couple of them from different brands now let's go to the front trunk let's open up the front trunk and another convenient options for your motorway would be a power front or power front trunk as you can see I can open on the app or use the screen inside to open the front trunk because normally your car would come with just manual you open and you have to lift yourself and press in yourself but this you just open it up and then it you you press the button on the app open up for you you press close show you and it will close and then latch down for you too as you can see super convenient I put both on my Model 3 and Model Y and another one is a front trunk liner also from Spigen really really good quality I love that continual like carbon fiber look texture on it yeah somehow they pull it off really really cool look on this liner both front trunk and the rear trunk now I think I'm done with the exterior of the car let's go to the interior inside of my Model Y first let's start with the door seal protection the reason I have them in my Model Y it protects from you know scratch the original plastic in the front and the carpet in the rear let me show you real quick and it has this portion right here so if you drop your phone or coin or something small it will catches right here so easier to find you lose something and also the inside protection pad right here so if without this you would have the same carpet material inside so this will make a lot easier for you to clean you know it's just on the right side of your feet so it's really easy to get damaged or you know to have it dirty so it's easier to clean to have the pads on the side we'll come back with the carpet and that cool paddle cover let's go to the back as you can see here I have these protective pads it's a plastic piece that has velcro in the back I can just place it on there we just attach on this carpet material as you can see without this your feet will go in and out all the time especially you have kids like me I have one she goes in and out all the time you can see I it's worn out I have this on like almost almost a year now and it's it's being great you know I it's really easy to just wipe with the wet towel and that's it it's done without this you just have to use a vacuum really strong vacuum to get all the dirt and you know the dust out not to talk about a mud during you know winter you get a wet shoes in and out it was a nightmare but this is make it so much easier to clean let me show you on the other side as you can see here how like scratches and worn out but I don't really care I just want to make it you know protect the car that's what it does it does the job protects this part and make it so much easier to clean and the next one is the same similar protection but it goes underneath of your seat so this plastic will wrap around your seat like base so it's easier for you to clean because without it you will have the carpet like this which is harder to clean so I just took it out so I can compare and with and without also in the front too so this will help protect the base of your seat and make it so much easier to clean your car on the interior now let's go to the carpet start from the front first so this is a all-weather floor mat slash carpet floor mat so as you can see you have a really durable all-weather material on the bottom part and the top you have this carpet material part on the top and you can just remove when you don't need it so during the summer I will just have it on because I would less likely to have you know wet shoes or mud or snow on my shoes so I just have the carpet on but during winter I'll just have it out and you have the regular all-weather floor mat material in there let me show you on the other side sunny out here but it's really really cool design this is from halo black as you can see have this really cool texture really good grip for your shoes let me show you on the passenger side so it has this tab right here so just tap it in when you lock in the carpet you want to use the carpet part of it okay so this is on the passenger side as you can see here this really really nice good quality carpet and also awesome quality all weather format material really comfortable really good grip really cool logo let me show you the rear part so front both front and rear you can actually remove the carpet and put the carpet back in as you can see it's hot towards the end of the spring and the summer is coming so I have the carpet back on let me show you the overall fitment of the floor mat from halo black as you can see wow it fits really well when I was trying to fit it in it's really snug so it doesn't move anywhere let me show you around the corner it's perfectly fit to the shape let's check out the passenger side same thing on the passenger side here it fits really really well it's snug really snug right in no gap at all let's see what gaps that's really really good too same goes here on that side as you can see here even though I have some of the covers which make the area a little bit smaller so it's tighter but this format still fit really well as you can see here because I have the cover right there this cover right here but it still it still fits perfectly well this is the best looking format I have seen so far you can see the halo black floor mats offers you know really functional you can get with and without carpet also really good quality and well designed for your motorway that's why I love this one a lot I just got this in I think a few months ago and I've been using it I love it and the next one would be this sport pads for your brake paddles and your accelerator paddle these are from Spigen as you can see this really cool carbon fiber material texture love the quality love the design I've been having this since I got the car so they're really durable and well designed it's really easy to install you basically just have to remove your original brake pads cover and then insert it in put two screw on same thing here you don't have to remove anything on the accelerator paddle you just have to slide it in and then put the two screw on and you're done with the installation love the look really really high quality products from Spigen let's go to the next one and the next accessory here something that you actually use every single day which is your main display in your model 3 and model y so this is a screen protector for your main display as you can see it's have that little matte finish to it so it protects from getting a lot of fingerprints when you use it also really easy to clean and reduce the glare from the reflection of the sun let me show you a quick installation and what comes in the box this is from Spigen so let's see what comes in the box so in the box came with the cleaning wipe and the bubble removal sticker also squeegee and the cleaning cloth and this is the main screen protector with the easy installing guide so first step you want to go to the main menu and then go to display and go to screen cleaning mode first second step just use the screen cleaning wipe step just use the cleaning cloth that came in the package now the screen is clean remove the sticker right here on the back side of the guide in this top corner right here and just remove this sticker next step just follow the guide this will fit perfectly to your display so that's top and then this is the bottom now just press slide in the middle of the display next step just remove the sticker now we should be able to remove the whole the plastic guide remove the film protection on the top layer after that just use the squeegee that came in the package to squeeze out all the bubbles and that's it we are done okay before we go do more of the interior stuff let me show you a few options for your front windshield sunshade so I have the traditional folding one this is from YesLag and also it's the same one similar design from Spigen and also has the umbrella style from Hello Black let me open up the umbrella one first as you can see the Hello Black one always have this really cool design product and their product lineup really similar to Spigen they're really consistent and and really really well done high quality really good design you just open up like an umbrella pretty much let me show you how to install it so you basically just have to open up like umbrella find the top this is probably the top with the velcro just undo the velcro and then open the top part so this part is flexible as you can see so it won't damage anything in your car and then just pop it up boom that's it really simple and it's fully covered you see just put my sun visor up so it stays really well and that's it really easy to put it on and it's really compact the thing I it's a really compact to put it I need to store it so you pop it and then retreat and then just wrap it around done now you just store it in their storage bag now let me show you how and show you the one from YesLag so this one similar just have to find the top top is this side this one it's you see it's it's kind of big when you open it up so I kind of like the umbrella one you can just you know pop it open there and it's more compact for the storage this one seems like it's covered a little more than the umbrella one just the top part because of this extra material sheet the umbrella is this big I can just put on the side of the door or the bottom storage under your seat let me show you after you're done putting in the storage bag you can put it under your seat as you can see your car doesn't come with this under seat tray this is from Hello Black as you can see has that continue design throughout their products really really handy so you can just put this in and then just slide it in under the seat it fits both the rear umbrella and the umbrella for the windshield all right let's go to the next one the next accessory for the interior would be for your comfort which is headrest neck pillow I also got this from Hello Black as you can see really really high quality really comfortable super comfortable good quality material and also they continue with that really cool design even on the pillow itself both for fun passenger and the driver and the next accessory is under display storage as you can see here it's really nice storage it's big as you can see it takes the whole space of the display width and it's actually dual functions as you can see bottom and top so bottom storage and the top behind display storage too so to install is really really simple so just attach the bottom piece and the top piece and attaching together with the magnetic mechanism here so it just magnet to stick it together as you can see on the box right here so just attach it with the magnet and that's it really simple and really good quality and both on the bottom part and top part have this rubber grip so the you know stuff you put on doesn't you know slide around and this part where it has a magnet so let's say you put something lightweight let me show you as you can see here I put the paper and use this magnet tab so this one stay in place let's say you go somewhere and park and you have a parking receipt that you need to show on the windshield you can put right here which is really really awesome and you know put small stuff your sunglasses and the bottom storage space here you can you know put the phone or your wallet or sunglasses too it's really good size space and I love the quality of all of the Spigen products as you can see really really nice really good design too and the next one's also from Spigen which is a car register or insurance card holder let me open it for you just in my glove box right here this is it so it's really really good design again really nice quality really good quality so just open it up and you can organize all of your paperwork you know your car registration your insurance paper or your key card your extra key card or your insurance card or even your business card you can put all in here and all organized so when you look for it when you need it it's really easy to find and just put inside the glove box let's move to the center console and the next product is the center console storage organizer tray so your car won't have any tray right here just you know big empty space so it's good to have something to organize all your stuff like sunglasses and you know change coins or whatever you need while you drive the car and this also from Spigen let me show you there you go so they continue with that really cool pattern with the logo it's been really useful for me both cars 103 and motorway and the next one is a cup holder also from Spigen with that texture continue so this cup holder help with both functions you know easy to clean because you can just take it up and then rinse it and clean it because without it you're gonna have to clean in the bottom of your cup holder right there and it has this better grip for your cup because a lot of times the cup is too small for this big space so this will help holding your cup in place you know your coffee cup from starbucks let's say yeah this is all pretty much all the stuff from Spigen and the next one would be something you really need most of the time because the glass roof of the Model Y is huge and this one has been really useful for me one touch on the button then it opens up the whole glass roof in my Model Y this is electric power sunshade the glass roof sunshade i just recently installed it and took me about half an hour to install with extra person you know to help out it's really simple to install i have another video that i installed this one so i have a few solutions for your glass roof so this is the most expensive one i think with the discount it's about 479 but it's the most convenient too because one touch of the button there are two buttons locations so one in the front and one in the rear so the front passenger or driver and the rear passenger can control the electric sunshade so one touch it goes all the way and close you press again it stops you hold it just goes how far ever you want to close or open the sunshade and it also has anti-pinching in case you know you have a small kid or you accidentally close it with your finger on the top let me show you if i press once it will close all the way but my fingers there see when you touch my finger it just go back to the same spot so it's anti pinching you know you won't accidentally close down and break your finger and it's really quiet actually when i first install it got some noise because cracking noise because you know it's still been moving a lot because of the parts on the inside but now it's been really quiet just you know it's the same as normal car sunroof noise which is really quiet so yeah it's been really useful for me so this is one option for your motorway glass roof especially in the summer you need something to cover this when you park both park the car and when you drive the car and another solution is the retractable roof sunshade let me show you so the rear part as you can see the rear part is actually longer than the front so it will just stop right there i believe the previous version it stopped right in the middle and so if the front passenger wants the sunshade i mean want some sun in the car and the rear passenger can still have the whole shade back here let's say you have your kid sleeping in the back but you want some sun in the front and the weather is not too hot you still can have the rear sunshade closed and you can adjust it you know however much sun you want to get in the car or open up all the way it's really really nice i love the look of this new sunshade especially the color as i mentioned before earlier now that matches the color of this material to the headliner material on the sunshade and the headliner material happens to match my model y headliner really really well as you can see now i can just close it down in the front and open the rear or close the rear altogether you can see the retractable version is really simple to install it's about half of the price of this one and if you want something less permanent like the two the electric sunshade and retractable sunshade then you can use the magnetic sunshade so you basically just put it up and then take it out when you don't need it but it has a magnet so you don't have to take off the clip let me show you how it works so basically just install this magnet tabs into your headliner so i would put one right here in the middle this is for the front so three in the front three in the back so one in the middle and then one just right you know before you get to the b pillar right there and then one on this side so same thing on the rear probably one right there and then one in the middle of the rear as you can see i'm already done installing all the magnetic clips now i can just unfold the sunshade make sure the reflective side is facing on top of the roof so this will reflect the heat and chill the heat from getting in the car now i can just put it up it shows the front and the rear correctly and align it to that magnetic tab that's it done super easy to put it up and remove to remove there's a little tab right here as you can see it's a little tab just pull it down boom boom boom now we can just remove and then fold and storage it let's install the rear one same thing to the rear sunshade here reflective side goes up and then make sure this is the right one just put it up align to that magnetic tab that we installed earlier really really easy to install and uninstall now you don't have to remove those clips or worry about losing those clips after you remove and then storage it that's it for the roof sunshade solution accessory all right let's go to the next accessory for the interior the next accessory is something i've been using daily on both of my cars model 3 and model y this is mac bag this is mac bag wireless charger for your phone it's magnetic and also mac safe compatible as you can see i just put it there and charge my car and it's in the line of sight that i can use my face to or unlock the phone which is really awesome and it you know it's really convenient i the reason i have this because when i use the wireless charger on the bottom right here as you can see i usually forget it so what happens when you forget your phone right here you get out the car your car won't locked and if someone get in your car since your phone is the key they can just drive off with your key and your car so that's why i love to have something right here in line of sight something that i can see before i leave i can just grab it and then go and it's always charging or i just you know use it sometime when i park the car you know do the face time meeting or you know just really really convenient i have two options for the wireless charger that's attached to your display so this one is permanent you cannot move around you cannot it just stick right here another option is from speaking which you can move either here or on the top let me show you and there's a knob right here in the back you can lose it so you can move from vertical to horizontal and then just twist to lock now it's become vertical i mean your phone become vertical if you go up this way then your phone become horizontal like this you can see it's charging right now so you can have it both horizontal and vertical those are the two options for the phone wireless charger but in my opinion this is my favorite because i have them in both of my cars and they're really convenient they look really nice it goes with you know the interior of tesla model 3 and model y and the next accessory here would make your life a lot easier owning your model y as you know or you don't a lot of stuff a lot of functions in the car has to go through the display sometimes it has two or three steps to get to you know some functions on the display but this 60 button 60 not meaning 60 60 60 is basically from all the models of tesla s model 3 which is backward and then x and model y the 60 button is basically all the shortcuts that you can modify you can change the configurations using your phone in the app and for example here if i want to open the glove box i would have to press one and then fly the glove box in here it's right here and then press open the glove box but with 60 button i can just press one press open the glove box not only that you can have five different functions on the manual so one two three four five in the middle and you can also have three different main menu which are reprogrammable so you can reprogram all of that using the app on the phone as you can see i can change from opening glove box to something else entirely different from the app which is really really cool i did the full review on this so check out the full review i'll put the full review next to the link of this 16 up too all right let's go to the next one which is instrument cluster display so for someone that's new to tesla it will be really helpful to have something in front of you so you don't have to you know move your eyes to the right to see the speedometer and some information all the time so where is it it's just right here in my phone so this is teslogic as you can see the logo so you can basically use your phone as the instrument cluster display using teslogic app so this is the teslogic app open the app and it will just connect wirelessly to the phone so basically i just install the wireless transmitter to the obd port right over there and it just wirelessly communicate to my phone and send all the information from the car to the phone the instrument cluster display have this main display with the speedometer in the middle and the gear selector and it shows all the information of the car like what using the battery from the car right now and also performance instrument cluster and a lot of information that you don't even get or you can't even find in the main display let me show you how it looks when you drive the car you see it's showing the autopilot warning right now blinking just like what it's showing in the car and here is another front instrument cluster display option i installed this in my tesla model 3 but it also of course compatible with tesla model y it's really clean it has this low profile so you still get that ac over the display and it's super sleek the design i love the ui which go really well with your main ui here on the main display and it has everything you need the speed the gear shifter and all the information on the car and it also has the wireless or wi-fi over the air update for the display itself just like your main display or the main tesla car and they have sent so many um ui or different updates on the display and recently they just sent another one to fix because my car just upgraded to let me show you to the latest software which is the 12 the v12 version on the software update so now it fixed the bugs that you know doesn't show the accurate um the percentage on the battery and also the mileage here but now it fixed everything looks really great you can change the car here to either model 3 or model y as you can see here and you can also change the car color to different color white red blue or dark gray or black this is red so really really nice love the ui and it also has the front forward camera option so you can connect to the front forward camera and you turn it on and also has apple carplay of course and yeah and also has blind spot warning so it will show red here just like the main display when the car is next to you when you turn on the signal and also has a autopilot warning the autopilot autopilot neck warning which is really awesome let me show you all the functions of the display and how it looks while i drive the car with this display see what looks like on autopilot and here you go the front forward camera will appear but if you want to deactivate it manually fast like this then it'll go back to the main display so i have one more i almost forgot it's been hidden in the back here it's in the sub trunk of my tesla motor y which is a sub trunk refrigerator this is really really useful refrigerator i've been using it since i got it to test with it i had this refrigerator with me the whole time when i was i'm taking a road trip from california to colorado and i've been using it all the time i just took it out during winter because i you know not a lot of use for winter now i put it back in for the summer's coming so you can use it for grocery can use for camping road trip i can store a lot of stuff in here i need to clean that up so i've been using a lot as you can see it's not like a brand new i've been using this thing so many times it's been really really useful and super easy to install you basically just put it in and plug it to your 12 volt socket on the side right here and then turn it on there you go and then you can adjust the temperature up and down it's really really simple and then you go to the main menu you can also control the refrigerator using the app for the refrigerator so let's say you're in the front um you know front passenger or you're a driver driving and you want to change the temperature of refrigerator while you're driving you can just do it on the app you don't have to come back here and do it on the refrigerator which is really really convenient so this is probably one of the most useful accessories that i got for my tesla model y as you can see in the video some of the accessories are really essential and really helpful really useful for your tesla model y for your brand new tesla model y and some might be a great addition for your car let me know in the comment
