Hello everyone, my name is Arnold. Prepare to be deranged.
Zack here, and it's Halloween. It's that time of the year when you get to dress up in some super cool costumes.
But the even better part about it is that you're going to make some disgusting, gory looking foods that taste delicious.
But to do that you're going to need food coloring, which everyone knows is pretty bad for you.
The blue, the red, it's all cancer causing stuff that you do not want to use.
So today I'm going to show you some great homemade, fresh food coloring alternatives.
So here I have some cinnamon that I'll make brown, some juiced cabbage that I'll make purple,
obviously carrots for orange, some spinach for green that I juiced, some juiced beets for red,
and then last but not least, believe it or not, turmeric for yellow because it actually stains stuff very, very well.
Yeah, I mean this is a little boring. So today we're going to jazz things up and we're going to do our MasterChef Junior Trivia Challenge.
So the way that this is going to work is I have six questions and for every question I get wrong,
I'm going to have to take one of these food dyes, do my little mix it up a bit, and then at the end of it I'll have a delicious drink of food dye smoothie.
So let's get started.
Question number one. In season one who did Dara pick for her red team in the restaurant challenge?
I know Jack. I think I'm going to go with Alexander. Please be right, I don't know.
Oh, I should have said Alexander and Jack. Okay, I guess that's wrong.
So as you know, I call this my little magic ladle of doom, but you will be terminated. I'm just kidding.
All right, so let's, ugh, hate this.
Red.
Ugh, I hate beets. Beets are like the least favorite thing in the world unless it's a borscht soup.
Ugh, that's nasty.
Okay, beets actually stain your cutting board, so a great way to make sure that it doesn't stain is to take a piece of parchment paper and then you can just chop on that.
And once you're done, throw it away and your cutting board is perfect to go.
All right, next question.
In season one for the elimination challenge, what did the four remaining contestants, Dara, Alexander, Jack, and Troy have to cook?
I know it was chicken, but I'm going to be more specific.
So Alexander had to cook the chicken livers, Dara had to cook the chicken wings, Troy had to cook the chicken thigh, and Jack cooked the chicken breast.
Please be right.
Oh, elimination challenge. Oh, it was a soft cook.
Ugh.
Man, I don't think I should be drinking this smoothie because it'll fry my circuits.
Get it?
Nothing.
All right, so I'm going to take the cinnamon, which will be brown.
Now you're probably seeing all this disgusting stuff and thinking, oh, it'll probably add some flavor to your food, but these are actually going to be tasteless.
So when you add them to anything, they'll taste delicious.
All right, next question.
In season two, who did Samuel pick for the blue team for the restaurant challenge?
Well, I know that Una did the goat cheese and then Sean, so I'm going to go with Una and Sean.
Yep, I was right.
That's close enough.
In season two, what dessert did Logan cook in the finale?
Man, I've been looking at a lot of stuff.
Seriously, I should just rewatch all these episodes, but I don't.
Don't remember at all whatsoever.
Duh, it was the Meyer lemon madelines.
It seems so obvious now.
Okay, let's just go with this.
Please don't be the cabbage.
Green, the spinach.
Yum.
Man, if I drink all this, I'll be like Popeye by the time I'm done with that.
Gross.
This stuff is going to taste like shiitake mushrooms.
Get it?
In season three, who does Andrew pick for the blue team?
I don't really remember.
I mean, I watch all the episodes, and then probably when I see this answer, I'll remember it.
Watch.
Nathan and Jenna.
Now I remember.
I hope I don't get that turmeric or the cabbage.
Orange.
My wishes come true.
I still don't see how I'm supposed to drink this because my mom used to make juice on its own, like beet juice or carrot juice.
And I never used to drink that, so I don't see how I'm supposed to drink this, but okay.
This is giving me these nasty shivers.
Alright, the final question.
In season three, for the restaurant challenge, what was the appetizer that both teams had to make?
Who remembers this stuff? Why are there so many restaurant challenge ones?
Oh, come on.
Oh.
Who's supposed to remember octopus and ravioli appetizers?
Probably Albert Einstein, but not me.
Alright, for the final pick of doom, it'll either be the cabbage or the turmeric.
I don't want either.
Yellow, turmeric.
This actually stains really, really, really easily the turmeric.
I'm not going to put too much of it because it has quite the flavor, but then it's flavorless.
Alright.
Just judging by this bowl, you can see that it mostly looks like the beets.
And why that is, is because the beets are actually the ones that'll stain the best.
I'm like a witch, like an evil Terminator witch robot.
Let's see what this smells like.
Oh, it smells like beets and cinnamon that's been juiced.
Oh, no, wait, that's exactly what it is.
Oh, God, I'm a messy pourer.
I'm not going to pour too much.
I didn't do that.
Tastes like bitter cinnamon and beets with like a hint of carrot.
Alright.
I guess I'll just have to drink this rather than exploding it.
Okay.
Bottoms up.
Ugh, this is just like...
Ugh, this always happens when I drink nasty stuff.
Alright, one gulp, be done with it, don't vomit.
Gordon, Graham, and Christina, prepare to be terminated.
I'll be back.
