Today we are taking a look at the most cute MasterChef Junior moments of all time! Let me know in the comments which moment was your favorite and why!
You know something that I don't talk about enough?
MasterChef Junior.
If you're in love with how feel-good the original is compared to the likes of HK,
you'll love this one.
From tiny chefs with big dreams,
to culinary geniuses who stole the spotlight,
these kids are really gonna surprise you.
Just like this culinary prodigy who stole the show with her unmatched cooking skill.
And her adorable smile didn't hurt either.
Meet the youngest winner of MasterChef Junior, Addison Asta Smith.
And boy was she something else.
Although she is currently tied with Benny and Leah for being the youngest to walk away with the win,
Addison's journey on MasterChef Junior Season 4 was nothing short of spectacular.
And her age was no obstacle for her.
From the get-go, it was crystal clear.
Addison was destined for stardom.
The moment she stepped into the kitchen,
her skills shocked everyone, including the judges.
In the inaugural elimination challenge,
her dish not only stood out, but left the judges craving more.
And hey, let's not forget, this little 9-year-old girl had the maturity to
throw in more than what was expected of her.
And the reason behind it left Ramsay speechless.
He was so impressed with the rich exterior and the moist center,
that he actually thought little Addison could be a threat for Christina of all people.
And if you've ever been to Milk Bar, I highly recommend, by the way.
You know how huge of a compliment that was.
And with each challenge, Addison lived up to his expectations.
But what truly set Addison apart was how cute she was, even in the most intense moment.
However, the mystery box challenge of episode 3 was what really put Addison on the map.
She effortlessly roasted the occasion, no matter how many cheeses stood in her way.
Even though Ramsay was concerned about her ambitious move,
Addison knew exactly what she was doing.
The confidence she had was unreal.
When it was time for the tasting, Addison walked up with her dish.
And Ramsay was blown away by its sight alone.
And just like that, Addison's creation secured her spot among the top three.
And when she wasn't absolutely destroying the competition,
Addison melted hearts wherever she went.
And after she took home the crown, Addison wasn't satisfied to rest on her laurels.
Instead, she kept the ball rolling, showcasing her talent and passion for cooking to the world.
Two years later, she'd even appeared on Lunch Break,
and what a delight it was to see her return to the screen.
Addison also took her love for cooking further beyond,
by participating in various culinary events and even non-culinary competitions.
Speaking of, she even featured on Dancing with the Stars Jr.
Not exactly my cup of tea as far as TV goes, but still a huge accomplishment.
But I've got to admit, girl can dance.
Back to more topical stuff though, her skill and enthusiasm made her a sought-after guest
at food festivals, cooking demonstrations, charity fundraisers, you name it, she was there.
From lighting up late-night TV with James Corden,
to popping back to her alma mater for the MasterChef cruise, Addison was everywhere.
Now with plans for her own YouTube channel and a return to MasterChef Junior for an
extra-serving special, it's safe to say she's still going strong.
And by the way, she also came up with her own cookbook,
which according to her, isn't just a cooking guide, but a way of life.
In an interview, she said,
But amidst the glitz and glamour, Addison remains grounded,
crediting her parents for igniting her passion for cooking.
But she wasn't going to settle for the basics. From exotic delights like a rose con leche,
to comforting classics like homemade pizza, she was determined to push boundaries,
and her own perfection while she was at it.
And hey, turns out Addison's paying her success forward.
Aside from donating a part of her prize money to charity, Addison also makes it a point to
raise awareness and support organizations that help heal and shelter the homeless.
Anyway, these days, like everybody seems to be, you can find her on TikTok.
As for more geriatric social media sites, her last Facebook update seems to date back to 2019,
and it's pretty much been inactive since then.
Now, although Addison's relationship with food started way before she made it to MasterChef,
here comes another prodigy whose journey began
long before she could even reach the kitchen counter without a stool.
Even at 5 years old, Avery was already honing her skills,
mastering the art of grilling and even tackling duck,
a feat that would make even the most seasoned chefs break into a sweat.
And when she finally turned 8, the minimum age requirement for MasterChef Junior,
there was no stopping her.
With the unwavering support of her parents, Avery plunged headfirst into the auditions,
armed with nothing but the skills she'd spent her entire life honing.
Avery was cute, sure, but her fire played no small part in making her a fan favorite
from the get-go. I mean, how can you not love her? Either way, though, she was confident,
that much is clear. Case in point, in episode 8 of her season, tension hit a fever pitch during
the elimination round. Since the judges wanted to see the contestants' signature dishes,
there was no room to hide. But for Avery, hiding wasn't her thing.
You gotta love that confidence. And guess why she went with crawfish?
I mean, I couldn't have picked a better justification myself.
But it was about to get a whole lot cuter.
You better take her at her word, because when Christina tasted her dish,
well, I'll let you see for yourselves.
Yeah, Christina was totally sold. I mean, you could tell that she really meant every bit of
what she said. No talking down whatsoever. And Avery's reaction is gonna be the most
wholesome thing you've seen all day. Well, if anybody deserved a slice of time to celebrate
her victory, it was her. But the compliment train had hardly made it into the station yet.
Sure, Masterchef Junior is all about the food, but let's be real, the stuff Avery got up to
every episode made it all the better. Just like what happened in this episode right here.
She was out there turning every cooking challenge into a party, reminding everyone
that making good food isn't worth anything if you're not having fun while doing it.
But don't let that fool you. Avery was a force to be reckoned with in the kitchen.
From perfecting the art of cupcake decorating to whipping up gourmet meals that would make
any chef regardless of age jealous, she proved that how old she was didn't mean anything in the
grand scheme of things. No, let me fast forward to episode 11, where she found herself in yet
another elimination test. But Avery was determined to do her best, and well, the results spoke for
themselves. With the stakes higher than ever, Avery stepped up to the plate and delivered a
dish to end all dishes, and it was so strong that she became a finalist right then and there.
While Avery may not have taken home the top prize, she won everybody's hearts. And I mean,
that's the next best thing, right? No, cut to the present, and just like Addison,
she's still writing her story. She's living life and growing up, but hasn't decided whether she'll
dive back into the world of cooking competitions or not. However, one thing's for sure, she's
certainly not letting her skills go to waste. And with dreams of becoming an actor or a lawyer,
she's set her sights high, regardless of where life takes her. From commercials to theater to
movies, Avery's determined to make her mark in the entertainment industry. And I mean,
MasterChef Junior is a hell of a resume booster. Speaking of, Avery's love for food extends way
beyond the MasterChef Junior stage. Her recipes for Crawfish Etouffee and Braised Pork Belly are
featured in the MasterChef Junior cookbook. Not just anybody's gotten that privilege.
Now let's move on to Quanie Fields, who swept the competition with his sizzling skills
and Southern charm. From the small town of Lawrenceville, Georgia, this little chef
was already serving up magic long before he made it to the show. But that didn't mean he started
slacking once the cameras started rolling. Whether he was grilling up a storm or baking a batch of
famous peach cobbler, Quanie's creations were always bursting with flavor and creativity.
Behind Quanie's culinary prowess was his biggest supporter,
his mom, Rebecca. From the sidelines, she cheered him on every step of the way.
Knowing that her son's passion for cooking wasn't just a hobby,
but a calling. And getting to MasterChef Junior proved all that and more.
Quanie's passion for baking knew no bounds. At 10 years old, he became a freaking entrepreneur,
launching Quanie's Baked Goods. Starting with a mouthwatering lineup of cookies,
brownies, and soft pretzels. And the revelation that Quanie was not only a little chef,
but a little businessman, actually put Ramsay on the back foot for a sec.
Anyway, with one of the judges being the best baker in the room,
Ramsay was a little concerned about Quanie's choice to bake cupcakes. But well,
the dude seemed to be determined. And when it was time for the tasting,
Quanie stepped up with his cupcakes with nothing but confidence and hope to impress Christina.
But before that, she wanted to know a little about his baking business. And Quanie's reply
had to have made her day. Quanie was pretty straightforward, to say the least. Turns out,
Quanie had help from his brother and a bunch of his friends. And when Christina went into
more detail about that little detail, Quanie didn't even take a second to shoot her an even
more blunt response. Yeah, yeah, dude was making bank. But how did his cupcakes really turn out?
Yeah, he knew what he was doing. As for Joe, when it was his turn to taste the dish,
he was more interested in digging into Quanie's business than his perfectly good cupcakes that
Because of course, right? Yeah, looks like someone had found his future business partner.
Anyway, jokes aside, let me, let me, you know, do my job and actually talk about the show
instead of being this kid's personal hype man. What better way to start than with the episode
11 mystery box challenge when the judges presented the contestants with a twist.
The boxes were filled with a bunch of unlabeled cans. Talk about a mystery box within a mystery
box. With just an hour on the clock and access to staple pantry ingredients, the young chefs
were tasked with creating mouthwatering dishes using at least one of the mystery ingredients.
When the time was up and the judges took their first bite,
it was clear that Quanie had cooked up something truly special.
I'd say yes, considering it got him up into the top three that night. Fast forward to the next
episode, and the heat was on as the young chefs geared up for one of the biggest challenges they
faced that season. It was a team challenge like no other. They were running a pop-up restaurant
location, and leading the charge for the red team was none other than Quanie Fields.
Yeah, this little dude knew exactly how to lead a team, and believe me, he was in it to win it.
But did all the effort pay off? If all my gassing him up wasn't any indication,
then, well, take a look. And Quanie rode that energy all the way to the finale. While he
narrowly missed out on the title, it shouldn't take away from the fact that Quanie's performance
throughout the season was nothing short of extraordinary. Now, Quanie's continuing to
pursue his culinary dreams by baking up a storm and selling his treats at soccer games.
He has aspirations to expand his business and eventually open his own bakery or food truck.
And with his passion, talent, and hunger for success,
Quanie Fields is definitely destined for great things.
But here comes yet another aspiring entrepreneur, Evan Robinson, who at just 13 years old,
had accomplished more in his career than most chefs will in a lifetime. His MasterChef Junior
appearance aside, he's cooked with celebrity chefs such as Chicago's Rick Bayless. Evan also
puts his skill to work on the regular by helping others, baking and selling pies to raise money in
the wake of Hurricane Maria. Getting into his actual MasterChef Junior journey, during one
particular challenge, Evan found himself in the thick of it, teamed up with Justice on the blue
team to craft as many corndogs as possible in a nail-biting 10-minute race against the clock.
Eventually, thanks to their skill and teamwork, they cruise to victory with 13 flawless corndogs.
Immunity from the elimination challenge and the coveted privilege of choosing which judge would,
well, be on the receiving end of a gooey surprise. Moving on past that though,
episode 7 brought an exciting twist to his journey on the show. As the teams were being formed,
Evan found himself alongside Afnan, as well as Justice again, on the brown team this time.
But I guess the judges were pretty big fans of the corndog challenge,
considering they recycled the same challenge, but with pistachio pudding pies this time.
And just like last time, Evan's brown team emerged victorious. But they went up themselves
by churning out 14 of the pies this time. But there's more to Evan than just making the same
thing over and over again. Evan has been making waves in his hometown of Chicago. The Hyde Park
native showed his skills on Windy City Live, where he demonstrated how to make sweet potato
black bean empanadas with roasted corn salsa, straight out of the Common Threads Cooking for
Life handbook. Here's hoping his baking business is going well too. Now for the final contestant
of the day. Hailing from a small town in Oklahoma, this little champ completely stole the show in his
At just 10 years old, Shane showcased a level of maturity and finesse in the kitchen that defied
appearances. With each challenge he faced, he approached his dishes with creativity and
precision, earning praise from the judges and admiration from his fellow competitors at the
same time. But in episode 4 of that season, Shane surprised the judges with a performance
that put everything that came before it to shame. With just 45 minutes on the clock,
the young cooks were tasked with crafting a showstopper of a dish. With a twist. Today,
it was all about that plant-based prowess. In spite of that, he whipped up a delectable burger.
I know, I know, I hear ya. It was vegan. Don't worry. Even though it wasn't his cup of tea,
he was equal parts respectful and adorable when whipping them up.
But on a serious note, let's see how the tasting went.
He totally nailed it. What, did you think I was gonna pull the rug out from under you and end
things off on a sour note? Of course not. Anyway, that aside, here's something a lot of people don't
know about the guy. He always really loved to cook. And that's how things began, but there's
more to it. Thanks to his family's culinary heritage and his Texas charm, Shane's been
squeezing every last bit of it he could into his dishes, whether traditional or fusion.
Anyway, speaking about his time on the show, he said,
Tough break for Shane, but boy was this guy a good sport in spite of it. I mean, making it to
the semifinals is no small feat. He's got a heck of a lot to be proud of, even without taking home
the title. Despite facing tough competition from older and more experienced contestants,
he never let his age hold him back. Instead, he embraced every opportunity to learn and grow,
pushing himself to excel in every challenge. But it wasn't just Shane's cooking skills that made
him a fan favorite. His genuine enthusiasm and joy for cooking were evident in every episode,
making him a joy to watch the whole time. Whether he was whipping up a batch of gourmet cupcakes or
tackling a complex seafood dish, Shane approached every task with enthusiasm and a sense of
adventure. And I mean, what more do you need at the end of the day? Now, since his time on the
show, Shane Wells hasn't been sitting by idly. From his early days of helping family in the
kitchen to landing a job at Foo Moo Chang in Texas, Shane's passion for cooking has only
gotten stronger and stronger. And by the way, he even made an appearance on the Disney Plus
cooking show, Be Our Chef, with his family. As of today, with over 3K followers on Instagram,
Shane's dishing out adventures, fishing trips, and travels with friends for the world to see.
I'm glad the kid's having the time of his life. It's a nice change of pace from all the doom and
gloom from Ramsay's other shows. Now, MasterChef Junior holds a pretty special place in my heart.
Like I said at the beginning of the video, it's just like the OG, but somehow even more wholesome.
I haven't really talked about it much, but if you want to see more from this show,
definitely let me know down in the comments. Or my social media pages are a great place to
get in touch with me, if you're interested in that kind of thing. Anyway, make sure to hit that like,
