Goodbyes and a van lifer's WORST nightmare (Ft ‪@ameinavan‬ )

Good morning. Good morning. We're getting a last quick dose of sun before we head back to the wintry Wintersun Ansea. But in the meantime we are out of Braconte. So let's take a look around. Sweet little lady, oh my baby, sweet little lady, oh my baby, sweet little lady, oh my All right so Braconte is actually a complete mixture of stuff. It's a complete mix. It's like a cross between a car boot sale, an antiques fair and also an artisan market. It like encompasses everything. Right so that was a very pleasant start to a Sunday morning. We're going to just go back to see Ami now because she decided she was going to stay in bed this morning and she's doing some drawing. So we are just heading back to see her to say goodbye because we've got to go back to Ansea this afternoon. And there she is the little toad. Bloody beautiful. This is the van life people. Yeah man. Be careful. That's our little journey down here done. We're really not looking forward to going back. No. Don't want to go back. But at least the good news is we're not going to be back up in Ansea for very long. And you know the worst thing is Ansea is so lovely and beautiful. It really is. It's such a nice place to visit and we're really really lucky that we kind of that's where we have ended up. But yeah our heart's still here. Absolutely here. And well our heart with our girl is here. So it makes it harder. I don't like leaving it. It terrifies me. But there you go. Okay that was a monster journey. But we're finally back. So back in the same place and some very nice people have left some rubbish just there. Some old paint pots and stuff. So that's very nice of them. And just hope that we're not going to get the blame for it. So yeah we're going to jump in the back, get the kettle on, have a lovely hot cup of something. So we will see you again tomorrow. Welcome back. We managed to get a very good appointment for our dogs to be groomed because the little things were looking like little mops. So yes we're actually just going to go and pick them up after a day in the spa. I'd like one of those. My dogs get one, I don't. Oh you look beautiful. Oh you look beautiful. Everything all right? She always has an itchy anus when she comes out of the groomers. So we've just come back from the dog groomers. The dogs are looking beautiful. And so now it's time to cook. Minced beef, sweet corn, mushroom and some parsley. That's for the dogs. There's your dinner. Yes it is. Yeah that's right we're not going to film you for long. Don't worry I know you're shy. So yeah I still haven't managed to work out the problem with these hobs because two of them don't work. So we're currently only cooking on the one. I think it might just have to bite the bullet and buy a new hob. A life hack for how to peel parsley, strip parsley is the correct term. And it's to use a cheese grater. You put it through the gritty bit and then you simply pull it through. There you go. Kind of does it. It's okay. So that's how useful that back ring is. Elegant way of serving as always. I don't want to wash another spoon up. Not as attractive as one might have hoped. Yeah I've just been out to take the dogs out for a walk and up the road there's a load of commotion. And there's police and fire brigade there and someone's van has either been set fire to, which the police couldn't rule out because I spoke to them, but his van is completely gutted. So we're gonna get the hell out of here tonight. The one thing that every van life dreads is their van being roasted. So yeah there's been quite a few things happening in this car park recently. My bike was stolen here. There's been other people's bikes stolen, vans broken into, although they only stole the left shoe, which is kind of bizarre. Well the guy to be fair has broken his left leg. Hold on, yeah he's left leg. Oh yeah, no he had actually. So actually he's probably only got one shoe. Yeah. Well what are you going to do with one shoe? Well yeah exactly. What are you going to do with one shoe? Absolute muppets some people. And they lock it up. It could be kind of murderers. Yeah absolutely. If not murderers, manslaughter for sure. But heyo, we shall move on and we will see you in the morning. Good morning. Well we've changed location because after what happened last night with the van being set on fire, I was a bit anxious to stay there to be fair. So we thought yep let's go somewhere else. So we've gone back to the location we were at before we left to go to Saint-Tropez and it's really nice here actually. Yeah it's beautiful. Certainly at the weekend it's quiet, you haven't got any of the businesses open so it's kind of a bit industrial. But it's industrial with a twist of nature. So let's take the little woofers out for a nice walk. You can see they're ready and waiting to go just here. So we're just going to take them for a stroll and show you exactly where we are. So you can see what we're looking at because it is actually still a really nice location actually. Beautiful walk, beautiful scenery and it's a beautiful day as well. There's too many beautifuls. Too many beautifuls. Expand your vocabulary. Oh it's a magnificent day, it's a fantastic view, it's a lovely location and it's a flipping lovely... I don't know. How many different words can you have for this? So this is the point in the year that I actually really really like. It's just about to go into spring and the birds seem so excited about it. The noise they make isn't it? Yep. They're so loud. The sun's out, there's not a lot of wind today, birds are cheeping like crazy. The planes are flying. We're very good at picking spots that are just near... well first it was Geneva, Geneva airport, then we were in Nice so we had Nice airport, now we're, well we're back in Annecy and there's like a private airstrip so good picking. I don't know what we've got to do to get away from planes but... Not park near an airport. Well the dogs are enjoying that off the lead walk. Although because they've been groomed their nails are short and I guess it's like with humans when you, if you cut your nails really short it can be quite sore or uncomfortable for a few days and I think it's been the same with their claws because they've been really reluctant to walk. They've wanted to return after about three minutes of being outside. Now one thing I'm excited about is I can now smell, because it's warmed up just a tiny bit, I can smell the pine trees and to me that is my favourite smell and yeah it's a sure sign that spring is on its way. Right that was a nice clearing for the dogs. They enjoyed their time off the lead. We're now going to go, well face the shops on a Saturday so that's good, but supermarkets not normal shops. Yeah because of the lack of fridge, well we have got a fridge but we switch it off at the moment just to conserve the power so I kind of have to do shopping at least every two days. So unfortunately one of those days has landed on a Saturday so wish me luck. See you later. Have a fun time without us. Monday today. I'm trying to make flapjack. I'll run back and get some butter quickly. Shall I just run back and get that? Yeah yeah I like flapjack. Charlotte's flapjack. We'll make it, we'll put it on a video at some point but the flapjack she's made about three or four in the oven already and um oh absolutely delicious. So I'm sure she'll get around to cooking that one on the video at some point, maybe next week, maybe next week. Job done. Food for the week, tick in the box. Well not quite for the week. Well for say two days. Two days of shopping but hey you know we're gonna go now because I've got some work to do and we want to try and find possibly another park up so we might go and do that.
