this isn't an s1 mp3 player

Welcome back to my floor, home of... ...content. Going to Goodwill and I've gotten this. What is it, you ask? Looks like an S1. It isn't. It is scrolling message, radio, time, calendar. That's it. That is all it does. I haven't opened this before. Or I have opened it, just to make sure everything's in there. But I haven't opened... I haven't done anything else, really. Um... Okay, let's see. A little bit of warranty. To the original purchaser, for a period of 3 years from the original purchase date under normal use and service against defective materials or workmanship. $3.50 for servicing. Manuel. I love you. Okay. It says radio frequency on it. 4LR44s. Here's our... ...our device here. It's got a Peely thing on it. Take that off real quick. Fancy. Look at this... wait. Ha... No. Well... It's pre-broken. It's already coming apart. Oh man, that's weird. What is this thing? Oh, they're, uh... ...high quality headphones. I'm just gonna go ahead and not even touch those. Pre-broken. You know? Wondering if this was, like, broken like this... ...on purpose, just to... just to stop the, uh... ...batteries from getting used. You can set the time. That's the mode button, actually. So the set button is actually... ...where you can change the radio volume. And I don't think it's possible to change the scrolling message. This is it, huh? This is the whole device. Let's look at the manual, real quick. Just to make sure there isn't any more to it before I end the video. Wow, that is... ...something. Okay. Instruction manual. Scrolling message. Time and... The scrolling... one. The scrolling message with time and calendar always move in circle. Wow! Astonishing features. Real-time display with hour, minute. Calendar display with... ...date, month, year. FM auto-scan radio frequency range. Stereo earphone. Battery. Smart clip. Hard to even time and date, explainably. Just time, date. Hold two seconds, we'll enter setting mode. Is this setting mode? So here's the set button. Either the set button doesn't work... ...or they've mixed up the mode and set buttons. I had to hold it down more. En. French, German, Italian. English. Set the time in reverse for whatever reason. So then what does this do? Nothing. Unless you hold it down. It's just a hold-down button. Let's see. Scrolling message operation. Now mode. Show scrolling message. M only. Press mode key and then timeout. Calendar mode. That's it. Okay, so you cannot change the scrolling message. This is it. That's it, huh? PSL design. Patented design. I don't even know what the proven industry leader is. I don't give you a... It's just this logo. If anybody knows what this logo is... ...leave a comment below, I guess? I don't know. I guess I have to, like, re-break this like a glow stick to turn it off. Because it doesn't have an off button. Just have to, like, break it like a glow stick to turn it off. This thing is great, I love it. Genuinely, I love just, like, ridiculously crusty pieces of technology like this. That is really funny. Seal this back in its tomb. Thankfully breaking it is not actually damaging the thing. It's just sort of dislodging a clip, I guess? It's just a really funny way to guarantee that it isn't on while in the box. Anyway. Alright, see you in the next video.
