Do you want me to carry the bag?
But this week I was able to rest a little bit more and I feel much better, way much better.
I still have a long way to recover and that's ok, but I wanted to bring you with me one last time before the year ends.
This is one of the things that I have started doing.
Colbats, actually a year ago I was feeling extremely bad physically.
I wasn't sleeping well at night and when I woke up I felt like if a drug hit me and I felt pain all over my body.
So I decided to start taking action and if I couldn't sleep well at least I was going to do something during the day that could help me.
Today is actually not that bad.
But it's still super cold.
When you feel this bad or like you don't have energy to do anything at all, doing something that you don't want to do sets you to start the day with a different energy.
If I do this before running I would try to do 4 minutes but 1 or 2 minutes it's fine.
First time that I did it of course I didn't last 1 or 2 minutes because I couldn't bear the cold.
And I usually come here when it's still dark so I will just go here naked but just because I'm filming the video I wore the swimsuit.
And I know this time of the year can feel sometimes lonely, it was for me for many years.
But since we moved to our land and we built this life here I wanted to create new memories.
Sometimes doing things like decorating your place and lighting some candles can bring some joy.
I really like to bring some colours either with plants or little decoration.
The simple thing that it is listening to some festive music and baking something kind of makes me happy and that's what I have been doing for the past 3 years.
Another thing that I'm also doing to get back on my feet is get back on doing some aerobic exercise.
I had to stop running this summer because I got plantar fasciitis and I thought it was something that would go away if I rest and stop for a few weeks but it didn't.
It got pretty bad, I haven't been able to run ever since I was actually training for a half marathon and now I'm not even able to run 20 minutes straight without having pains again on my knees.
But that's ok, that's something that I have learned this year as well.
I usually never share the things that didn't go well until I found a solution and until I had it all figured out because that would put me in a vulnerable position of giving space to people to criticize.
And to be honest that's ok, it doesn't make me less valuable to fail and to have things not working well all the time because to be honest that's not the reality of life.
And now I'm back on the square one, I was doing exactly what I was doing almost a year ago, I'm back on walking and running, I'm doing intervals.
I also don't feel 100% well physically because I have been dealing with the chronic stress and I don't want to put extra pressure on the body but I also know the importance that aerobic exercise has for my own mental health.
And my physical health.
The decision of showing myself in a more vulnerable position is a decision that I'm making mainly for myself because I never really gave me the space for my own mistakes and for my own imperfections.
And I realized this is something that I need to embrace and accept because I'm human and I also make mistakes and things don't go well for me all the time.
And also because I believe that every time that we get out of our comfort zone we grow and we always find in the other side of that comfort zone a reward.
I said that I was going to do an interval run with walks but I'm carrying a three pounds camera so today is mainly walking and content creation.
It wasn't until two years ago that I started doing therapy because up until that point my protective mechanism was to run away from the problems.
And that's basically what made me start therapy. Little by little I was able to start releasing some of those emotions and that's why I'm really grateful for today's sponsor BetterHelp.
BetterHelp is an online platform where you can connect with a licensed therapist who is trained to listen and give you helpful advice.
Because they are on a mission to make therapy more accessible, the sign up process is super easy.
You will start by filling out a questionnaire and in a few days you will be matched with a therapist.
If for some reason you feel like you just don't click with the therapist that you have been paired with, you can switch therapist and then you can do your sessions via phone call, video chat or even messaging.
If you would like to give therapy a try and you think that you will benefit from a therapy session you can use my link in the description below or go to betterhelp.com to get 10% off your first month with BetterHelp.
As always I'm going to leave all the links in the description below.
Jingle, jingle all the way.
Open sleigh, jingle bell, jingle bell.
Horse open sleigh, dashing through the snow.
In one horse open sleigh, the fields we go.
Bells on bobtails ring, making spirits bright.
Jingle bell, it is to ride.
Jingle bell, jingle all the way.
Open sleigh.
