Hi friends and welcome to day five of your 30-day meditation.
Begin to take a few moments to find your comfortable position today.
And as you know that could be sitting upright in an easy seat, that could be sitting on a block or
a blanket. You can even choose to lie down with a bolster or a pillow. Now whichever way honors
your body today, follow that and just be sure that you're able to relax fully in this position
and for the next 10 minutes. Let's begin with finding a deep inhalation through the nose
and a long open mouth exhalation. And then let's find a nice bear hug,
squeeze your shoulders up by your ears, self-love, deep breath in and exhale.
Gently release your grip and roll your shoulders down your back and let your arms and palms melt
down by your sides or just rest softly on your knees. And as you begin to settle into your space
today, you may choose to place one hand on your heart and one on your belly or maybe you even
place both hands on your heart. Just allow your gaze to soften, bringing your eyes to a close,
your eyelids feeling heavier here,
relaxing your face, your brows,
and removing your tongue from the roof of your mouth and parting your teeth but keeping your
lips sealed. Take some time to just feel your chest rising and falling, sending breath deep
into your belly and exhaling it out. Just allow yourself to explore this moment of quiet,
this moment of stillness that you dedicated to yourself today. This is just for you
so that you can come together with your breath
and finding an inhale, filling your lungs with fresh air
and then exhale, melting your shoulders down your back,
noticing the warmth of your body,
feeling it all the way from the crown of your head, down your neck, into your arms, into your palms,
into your belly, and down into your legs.
Just taking a moment to really analyze your existence in this space and thank yourself
for once again taking a few moments of your time for yourself. It's these types of small
dedications that are not always easy but so very important. Finding an inhale and holding this
breath here for five, four, three, two, and one open mouth exhale here.
It's such a beautiful thing to care for yourself and respect yourself enough to find time,
create time, so I commend you for this. You can slowly begin to release your hands to your knees
and you can choose whether your palms face up or whether they face down.
And let's begin. You might find a few thoughts from outside of your mat wandering in
and I invite you to acknowledge them and then let them pass. Today we're going to turn down
the noise in your mind for a moment and truly begin to hone in on focusing on yourself,
focusing on you, all of you, from the crown of your head to your forehead,
your eyelids, lashes, the tip of your nose, your lips, your chin, your neck, your shoulders,
and your chest, belly, hips, and thighs, knees, calves, ankles,
toes, and the soles of your feet. Just checking in with your existence
and your presence and space and your breath. Inhale and exhale. Perfect. Another one just like
that. Inhale and exhale. Prayer you see is a conversation with God and meditation
is you checking in with yourself. So taking yourself back to solid ground,
remembering what it was that you started and why. What was the end goal, not the process?
I invite you to imagine yourself surrounded in an empty dark space,
so dark that you can't even form the shape of your hand if it were to be in front of you,
and then begin to picture a soft white light slowly developing directly in front of you,
making the shape of a ball of some sort, and that soft circular light is your focus,
your goal, the achievement that you're working so hard for, and focusing your mind so directly
on that light that the darkness around you doesn't even seem to become a factor anymore
because your sight is so set on that light. And as you continue to focus on that light,
you notice that it begins to get brighter. And as the light gets brighter,
it begins to move closer. But because you're so focused on the light and only the light,
it appears to be moving towards you in slow motion. So slow in fact that you could easily
embrace it. Inhale and exhale. Now imagine yourself reaching out and holding on to it.
And just as you do, it absorbs into the palms of your hands, evenly distributing
into your entire body and multiplying so many times over that you have enough to give to someone else
with no fear or worry of not having enough for yourself.
But knowing that without a doubt, you both will have more than you need.
Focus is the state or quality of having or producing a clear vision. And oftentimes,
it's not the darkness that kills our vision, but the distractions within ourselves
that takes our focus off of the goal. Distractions such as doubt, past failure,
lies that we've been told, intimidation, current circumstances, fear, excuses.
If you put all of your focus on the process and the steps it takes to claim your goal,
then you'll never reach it. Because you'll constantly worry about the steps in between.
Keep your faith and know that God is in control of those in-between steps.
You have what it takes. You are equipped. You are capable. You are ready and you're ready right now.
Inhale and exhale. You are ready just as you are. Mistakes only verify that you are human
and nothing more. Fear isn't only an obstacle that God is equipped to help you defeat.
If it feels too big for you to conquer, that only means it's meant for God to conquer it,
not that it's the end of the road. And He's more than willing to conquer anything for you.
It's only part of the journey. So just hold on to that confidence in yourself
and don't allow anything to take your focus away from your light. Let's take a deep inhale
and exhale. Take a few moments to think about your focus.
Slowly bringing your breath back,
soft inhales and exhales. With your eyes closed, begin to gently turn your head side to side.
Maybe you take a few neck rolls here.
And then bringing your palms together to your forehead to remind yourself
that your mind is the absolute most powerful part of you.
Everything begins with a thought and from there words are formed. So bringing your palms to your
lips to remind yourself to speak positively to others and even more importantly to yourself.
Words are so much more powerful than we know. And now to bring your hands to your heart
to remind yourself that you are loved because God first loved you. We should also love others.
You are loved. There's a purpose in you, a reason for your existence here.
You're not a fluke or a mistake or a coincidence. You have been fearfully and wonderfully made.
You may flutter your eyes open. Thank you friends for joining me in our meditation today.
I pray that you feel empowered and know that you are blessed and can laugh without fear of the
future. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye.
