Here we go, another Piano in 60 Seconds video. Testing the mic, testing syncing up the cameras.
Let's go. Welcome to Creative Piano Academy with me, Joseph Saikara, for another, another Piano in
60 Seconds video where I try to show you something awesome, something cool, that's going to be
fantastic for you in 60 seconds or less. And today I've got a little bit of a chord sequence for you
that we're going to use the rhythms from that Rhythm Exercises video. It's in the cards if you
haven't watched it. And we're going to take one of those rhythms from that video and apply it to
this chord sequence. So let's put 60 seconds on the clock, starting now. So this is a four chord
sequence and there's a little bit of a trick to it. With your right hand, chord one is a C, chord two
you're just going to move this E to the D, and then back to the C for chord three, and then chord four
you're going to bring that E to the F, like this. We're going to accompany that in the left hand
with a C, and then a G, and then an A, and then an F. Okay? So we're going to do a C major, a Gsus4, A-7, Fsus2, like this.
Okay? So we need to get used to these chords first, and if you're thinking it sounds familiar, that's
because it is. It's just a 1-5-6-4 sequence in the key of C, and very common, very popular, and it's
a really good entry level into playing chords. But as you might be aware, we've just done, just adding
a little bit of a twist in there, giving it a little bit of extra melodic interest than just
normal chords. So get used to those. Now we need to take our rhythm from exercise two from that
rhythm exercises video, and just to jog your memory a bit, our left hand just kept a nice steady beat
and our right hand came in on the one and two and three and four and one and two and three and four
Okay? So if that's not familiar for you, do watch that video. Make sure you're familiar with exercise
two. Now we need to take that rhythm and apply it to the chord sequence that we've just done. And
you know what you're doing in the left, you know what you're doing in the right, so now just apply
those rhythms. So our first chord...
one and two and three and four and, okay? And then we move to our second...
one and two and three and four and. Third chord...
one and two and three and four and. And then fourth chord...
one and two and three and four and. Okay? Sounds like this...
Okay, I'm not quite sure I managed to stick to 60 seconds there, but you know what?
Doesn't really matter, does it? You've got a nice chord sequence to play, so have a go at it.
See how you get on and just keep going over those chords until you're familiar with it,
and then bring in the melody. And don't forget from that rhythm video as well,
there's the other rhythm you can apply to as well. I'm not going to play it in this video.
Challenge for you, exercise three from that rhythm video. Apply it to these same chords,
see how you get on. So that's about it from me, guys. I hope you've got something out of this
video. Like the video if you liked it, subscribe to the channel, and I will see you, I will see you
in the next video.
