Welcome to Creative Piano Academy with me, Joseph Saikara, for another Piano in 60 Seconds video,
where I try to show you, teach you, something that sounds really cool and awesome in 60 seconds or
less. Today we're going to look at a really simple and common chord progression and just
do something to it to make it sound a little bit more interesting. So, it sounds like this.
So, without any further ado, let's put 60 seconds on the clock, starting now.
So, our normal regular chord progression, we've got a C, we've got G, we've got A minor, and we've got F.
Okay, so that's just a 1-5-6-4 chord progression. It's really common, we've heard it all before.
So, we're going to change that second chord. So, we're going to start with C,
and instead of going to this G here, we're going to bring this G up to the G sharp in the left,
and we're going to play an E major first inversion chord in the right. So, that's a G sharp,
a B, and an E. It sounds like this. So, that's our second chord, then we're going to continue
as normal to A minor, and then to F. Okay, so it sounds like this.
Okay, to add just a little bit more interest in there,
we've got C, and when I go to this E major, my first chord, I'm going to strike this one,
and then the second time, I'm going to bring that E down to the D,
and it gives that little melodic fall there, and now it resolves nicely to the A minor,
and then the F. So, it sounds like this.
Okay, and that's it, guys. Wow, I hope I got all that within 60 seconds. So,
I really hope you enjoyed that. We've kind of taken something a bit common and
flipped it around a bit, and changed it up so it sounds a little bit less common,
a little bit more interesting. Leave me a comment down below, and let me know if you
like this chord progression, and as always, like the video if you liked it,
