Hey what is up guys.
Today I'm going to show you how to clean and seal extremely dirty wheels.
So these wheels are the ones that came stock on my car and honestly I've never cleaned
them.
Pretty soon after I bought my car, probably a month afterward, I bought new wheels and
the original wheels went right down to the basement.
I never cleaned them, never did anything with them.
So I'm going to show you how to clean these extremely dirty wheels, get all the brake
dust off of them and then we're going to seal them up so that they stay clean in the future.
So when I first bought the car, I obviously washed the surface of the wheel so they don't
look too bad from the front, but you'll see the back just how bad they are.
Alright and here's the inside of the wheel, you can see how dirty it is.
And don't worry about the tread, obviously I'm not using these wheels, I'm just doing
this video as a demonstration.
Alright so the first thing that I'm going to do is I'm going to spray down the wheel
with Sonax.
I've got a full video about Sonax, but the wheels in that video weren't really that dirty.
This is really going to show the full capabilities of Sonax on a really dirty wheel.
Alright so right here it's kind of cool that you can see the color difference.
So that's what the Sonax looks like when you spray it out of the bottle.
And then that red color is how it looks after it's had a minute to soak in and react.
Alright now I'm going to rinse it off and I just want you guys to take note that I haven't
done any scrubbing at all.
It's all just the Sonax doing the work so far.
Alright now I'm just going to go through with my wheel brush and clean off any brake dust
that was left behind.
Alright guys the front side of this wheel is looking pretty good so let's flip it over
and let's do the back side.
What's interesting if you look at the back of the wheel is you can actually see where
some of the Sonax dripped through and already started cleaning.
Alright guys I've given it about 10 minutes to really soak in and do it's work.
I should mention that you don't really want this stuff to dry on the surface.
So I'm going to go ahead and rinse it off now and we'll see how it looks.
Alright so for wheels that are really bad like mine were you might have to hit them
twice with the Sonax so I'm going to spray them again, rinse them off and we'll see how
they look.
For areas that are really stubborn you can use an old toothbrush to help agitate the
surface.
Alright guys I just rinsed it off and check out how clean the inside of that wheel is
now.
Alright guys now that the wheel is clean and dry I'm going to go ahead and seal it up with
some JetSeal.
Alright guys well if you found this video helpful please like and subscribe and as always
I'll leave links in the description to all the products that I used today.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you guys in the next one.
