hey guys welcome back to my channel so
sadly summer has come to an end here in
low Franconia Germany it's been a
beautiful summer but not long enough and
I can't believe it's already September
so I thought I would share with you some
little Snippets from my week where I
prepare for my kids going back to school
after summer break a little bit of food
prep with my new air fryer and some
thrifting with my friend Jess who is
also a New Zealander living in
Germany so this is me organizing all of
my son's school books and stationary
he's going into the second grade here in
Germany and there's always so much to
organize before going back to school the
school supply list is very specific I
also have to help my daughter get
organized but she's 11 so she's able to
organize quite a lot herself
now I recently received the kasari turbo
Blaze air fryer and I thought I would
test it out with a bit of food prep for
the upcoming school week I'm a bit late
to the arrayer game but better late than
never this one looks so nice and modern
in my kitchen it has an extra large 6 L
capacity it has five air speeds
automatic adjustment for different
cooking purposes One Touch cooking
functions plus nine additional programs
including a formation and baking program
it also has a temperature range from 30°
C to 230°
C I had a look through the cookbook that
comes with the Kari air fryer and it had
so many delicious looking recipes I
needed to use up some ingredients I had
in the fridge in pantry so I decided to
adapt one of the recipes in the book and
make a big batch of chuna and veggie
fritters for lunch but also for my
family to heat up and eat throughout the
week for a quick snack I had so many
carrots left over that I needed to use
up but for this recipe you can basically
use any type of vegetables you want I
added some grated carrots to a bowl with
meshed potatoes fresh spinach and herbs
from our garden pepper salt garlic
thinly chopped onions one egg and a tiny
dash of olive oil I molded the mixture
into these Patty shapes and placed them
into the air fryer I used the regular
air fryer setting at
195° and cooked my fritters for 10
minutes it's so easy you just have to
press the a fry setting and just wait
for 10 minutes and you'll get a little
beep when the 10 minutes are up it
couldn't be easier oh my goodness they
turned out absolutely perfect crisp and
golden on the outside and nice and soft
on the inside I cooked another two
batches and we ate them for lunch with a
side of Greek yogurt dill and maple dip
they were so delicious I then decided to
make some zucchini chips using the
zucchini Hy from our garden I often make
these in the oven but I've heard that
they taste even better in the air fryer
so I was really interested to test this
out I season them with some pepper salt
and garlic powder and I use the drying
setting first just to take out any of
the moisture that was in the zucchini
then I changed to the regular air frying
setting and I cooked them on a very low
setting for it was actually 20 minutes
these take a little bit longer but oh my
goodness they turn out amazing they are
so delicious nice and crispy and a great
alternative to potato chips so much
healthier too I also made some crispy
Curry chickpea snacks this is as simple
as just throwing some canned chickpeas
into the air fryer with a little bit of
seasoning and I cooked these for 15
minutes they turned out so great so
yummy so next up was some dinner prep I
marinated some chicken breast pieces and
honey Indonesian soil sauce and chicken
seasoning with a dash of pepper salt
fresh garlic I marinated this for 2
hours then I cooked the chicken breast
in the air fryer for 10 minutes on
195° after the 10 minutes I turned each
piece over and cooked the chicken for
another 5 minutes until it was just
perfect we ate the air fried chicken for
dinner that night with a homemade coor
creamy meshed potatoes and the maple D
and Greek yogurt dip left over from
lunch oh my goodness it was so delicious
the chicken was really tender juicy and
just filled with flavor I love the taste
of chicken cooked in the air fryer not
to mention the convenience of it we had
lots of leftovers so I was able to use
the leftover chicken breast for a
chicken salad the next day so if you're
interested in checking out the casor
turbo Blaze air fryer I will leave a
link for where you can do so in my
description below
so it's already the next day and the
weather has suddenly turned from warm
and sunny with a slight awesome chill to
cloudy damp and gloomy the kids are all
at school in kindergarten robbers at
work and I've come home to enjoy a nice
slow breakfast I am definitely not used
to this it is the first morning I've had
to myself in months and as much as I
adore my family it is nice to have a
little bit of me time
time I picked these beautiful roses from
our garden and unfortunately it looks
like this will be the last bunch of the
year since Autumn is well and truly here
thankfully we still have some Tomatoes
left in our veggie garden as well as
some zucchini some fresh herbs and also
some corn which should be ready to
harvest and eat in a couple of
weeks so fast forting to the next day
we have a beautiful crisp Early Autumn
morning with blue sky and sunshine this
is my kind of weather on the way back
from dropping my sun at kindergarten I
noticed that the leaves were slowly
starting to change into beautiful shades
of autumn the leaves in our backyard are
still green but I can see a little touch
of yellow which is a sure sign that
Autumn is here so now it's time to meet
up with my friend Jess for some thrift
shopping adventures or op shopping
adventures as we like to say New Zealand
Jess is a fellow New Zealander living
just a few Villages over from me here in
Germany what are the chances of that how
lucky am I to have met her Jess and I
love to go op shopping together here in
Germany and it's become a reoccurring
event for us German op shops are so cool
you can find such interesting unique
pieces and we both just love the mystery
of not knowing what Treasures we're
going to stumble upon next
I found this wooden kid stool for just
€6 I've been looking for one of these
for a while and this is just going to be
perfect for my son Mato to keep him nice
and propped up at the dinner table I
also found this tennis record set for
the kids for just €1 such a bargain some
gum boots for Luca he needed a pair for
kindergarten he's constantly growing so
I was happy to find these for € I also
found these really cool baggy cargo
jeans for Amelia for just €2 they look
super huge here but they're actually
size 10 to 12 so they're not as huge as
they look so guys I really hope you
enjoyed hanging out with me throughout
the week this was just a little sneak
peek into my regular everyday life is a
