taylor swift ME! music video makeup hair & outfits tutorial

hey it's Jackie and welcome back to my channel for today's video I have three different looks inspired by Taylor Swift's new music video me I'm a huge Taylor fan I love the pastels in this video so we'll start with the easy makeup looks I'll show you how to get the hairstyles and then we have some inspired fashion I've been doing Taylor Swift inspired content for a very long time we can put them on the screen here and some young in this one the our song music video recreation and oh my god when I think back to our song my initial memory is that was the first time I saw Taylor Swift and I was intensely jealous over like if anyone said Taylor Swift's name like in middle school I would tense up because I was very fragile and I just thought she was perfect but fast forward I'm a massive fan and when I think of red I think of painting all the time in 1989 and went to a concert which was amazing so now yeah I'm a full-on fangirl and I recently bought this shirt from her merch line and this one was limited edition but she does have really cute stuff on the website right now and I thought it was surprised one of you guys with merch obviously I don't know your size so how is giveaways merch that you like because I know it is expensive and I think I'm ordering more anyway so I thought I would just get one of you as well I hope you guys enjoy this video make sure you give it a big thumbs up if you do and let's get started because we have several looks today I've skipped over my base but everything will be listed in the down bar and I'm gonna set with one of my favorite setting powders the Charlotte Tilbury genius powder and I did add some color to the skin as Taylor's skin is more honey kissed in these looks and the perfect shade to get this look is hoola caramel from benefit I'm using it out of this cheekleaders palette but you can get it on its own and just use a very light hand I'm trying to create higher cheekbones like a little bit of nose contour pop of pink blush this one's from Tarte and we're going to use two different highlights to get this fun look I'm starting by using the same palette and it's called cookie on the cheekbones nose tip and bridge Cupid's bow and inner corners of the eyes and then we're using the ruffle on galaxy dream highlight palette and this has the perfect purpley pink highlight shade lbc Taylor has pop in further up on the cheekbones I lightened up my brows with benefit 3d brow tones so they aren't the main focus because the lips will be and I'm using the Too Faced natural lust palette for some subtle contours to the eyes especially under the bottom lash line with a matte taupe and to really achieve taylor's look take a cream shadow that reflects the light this one is from Charlotte Tilbury these are my favorite they have a very jelly-like consistency but I will have some less expensive options in the downbar but these are my fav I find a lot of cream shadows do crease and this one doesn't for me added some subtle liner to fill out the lash line and then we want some dolly at full slashes up on top these are from Sephora collection in brunch babe I love the look they're very natural and then using one of my favorite mascaras BADgal bang from benefit I'm gonna build up the lashes so the eyes appear super expressive and open Nik sent me over a ton of lip liners and lipsticks and luckily they had this hot pink shade that looks just like Taylors I started with a matte pink lip liner this is NYX suede matte lip liner in the shade clinger and then I filled in with the matching mix lipstick also in clinger this lipstick lasted so long but it didn't leave a stain on my lips after so if you plan on switching up your look to a nude lip after good luck with that but it is a bang-on shade and really smooth to apply we are gonna keep this matte lip combo through the video but for this one I did add some lip oil and they love these from NYX as well simple girly makeup done and it's time for the hair start off with a deeper side part some heat protectant and I messed up here so I tried to do a retro wave up top by curling and setting each curl you then brush them out and find the wave pattern this does work and it creates stunning retro curls but I went with too big of a barrel so the top of the Weibull the top of the wave sorry oh it's too far down just take a small wand this one is my absolute fave I use it all the time and it's the bedhead curly pop wand they do have a collection of these so I'll have a link down below to the exact one and just curl towards the face in small sections on the side with more hair you don't even need to do a curl the full length down just want to get that top curl and you want to really make sure you get that top layer and try to have the curls start as close as possible to the part because again once we brush it it will slightly loosen up once you have brushed out hold the curls in place with flat clips and I added this waxy product from OGX for a similar texture to Taylor's I love ojx Tyler so much but this one is my least favorite part of the collection because it just is very waxy so you do have to wash your hair after it does do what I wanted it to I just don't like the feeling so if you want a more comfortable product in a similar vibe just use the hairspray and if you want the wet look go with that shine spray I would say on the side of the part with less hair same deal you're just curling away from the face now brush it out you'll see the wave pattern and then bring this hair to one side still am touching up with the same OGX styler and this is where the look becomes quite unique and fun Taylor has very mermaid like waves this does not make me look a hundred percent blond but I did want to light my hair a bit so I'm using a blonde extensions to lighten up the bottom layer and I'm switching up my tool to this new me waver that I've had for years and years just start clamping down throughout the length Taylor's waves were a little bit more loose but this will loosen up for a similar vibe and once you have the full length all clamped just take out the clips up top pin some of the length of the waves for a layered look and tease out and there is the first look I'll have the earrings and dress also linked down below and if they're sold out I'll find something similar for you guys I love this dress it's obviously not the same neckline and a bit more coral but I thought the sleeves really gave us we loved and all any male is a new kitten if you're still watching and you have a cat a comment down below your pops name and let's switch it up real quick to the next look I'm recreating yellow hello Taylor has a very soft cut crease that is really easy to achieve to start out with a matte taupe again and build up the line with a deeper purple also smoke out that under lash line take some black shadow for liner a bright highlight to the brow bone and lid with a little bit of Sheen to it this is the only part of the look that isn't matte shades just fixing up the wing here to match the crease popping on some more liner and then lashes and again we have a simple but fun look and this hair and outfit is so different for Taylor and for me it so that's why I wanted to recreate it I'm switching my part to the opposite side making sure the back of my hair is smooth and again I'm using an extension so that you can see the detail in the bun a little easier than all on my dark hair but if you have highlights or blonde hair you'll get a similar effect without any extra hair plus Taylor does not have as much hair as I'm putting in so my buns gonna be slightly bigger and all we're gonna do is a low slightly off to the side ponytail and by the way you see this bun at the back so quick so this is my interpretation of it just take small sections and create rope braids to create a rope braid it's just twisting both sections in the same direction and then twisting them together in the opposite direction this way the rope braid doesn't unravel and major apologies for the dirty flipping mirror I'm trying to figure out the best way to film hairstyles this I don't think it's too bad but yeah I did not clean that mirror and now you just need some bobby pins and you're going to wrap each rope braid around the base of the pony securing as you go it's pretty easy and I think this one turns out really cool add a yellow blazer this one is so close to the original it's from Calvin Klein and then a pink tie to make this a bomb-ass look like clearly was having fun with the confetti that comes with the merch and instead of a full suit I went with a dress to make it a bit more meat rosette style earrings are the finishing touch I got all of the accessories from forever21 there's so many kind of tailor esque pieces right now and we have one more style which is my favorite hair look now I know a lot of Taylor fans have a similar haircut so if you already have bangs in a long bob then you just want to follow these styling steps this is me trying to recreate the hair length for a photo it is not the most practical but I do have these clip-in bangs that I wore for shoot so they are matched to my own hair color quite well and then we have this experimental look but I took sections of my hair and then wrapped around my head to the opposite side to shorten it I'm Bobby pinning in place and this does not look perfect from the back at all but this was the only way I could make it look pretty natural like a shaggy bob but with the first layers and then the bulk of the length I tied in a knot and then bobby pinned up behind my ear so I'm really just creating a pigtail that I've shortened looks a little crazy right now but once we style this new faux cut it does work out so just take a large wand and curl away from the face at this length you'll get these cool shaggy waves set with hairspray and I'm using the cake flexi hold hairspray because it's pink and it smells good and now the pastel blue L oreal color Easter spray and if you've ever seen my tutorials I usually just spray right next to my clothes and it's super risky but if you do want to do this definitely put a paper towel towel sorry down around the hair that you're spraying that's a smart thing to do and these do transfer so less is more and if you can get them to dry a little bit before you'd like move around that's also a good thing but I find this one it brightens up my hair and boom the brunette version of Taylor's a blue long shaggy bob I did wear this out but I just wore a little hat so that you couldn't see the back and potentially the top of the clip and bang and it was really cute so if you ever do want to try it out and you're worried about what it looks like at all angles just wear a hat and your problem is solved also this dress is so similar to the out of the woods dress that I wore in that tutorial back when so I still had it and it was a nice little full
