our congressional representative Becca
ballant has been a clear departure from
the kind of congressional
Representatives that Vermont has had for
its long
history many vermonters have never seen
someone so distinctly partisan in this
role Bal is persistently disrespectful
to other Republican members of Congress
and she engages in the worst kind of
partisan games which included her and
every other Democrat working with Matt
gates to vacate the speaker's office
unfortunately Washington has changed her
she's a completely different person than
the state senator that I served with in
moner she is presenting herself as a
resistance Democrat first and a Vermon
last and her antagonistic approach is
not helping Vermont the reality is
Republicans control the house the Senate
and the white house now back home IM AER
vermers are watching Republicans and
Democrats trying to work together to
solve the problems that are facing our
people and I'm concerned that balance
identity is too wrapped up in her
political ideology for her to ever be
willing or able to successfully reach
across the aisle with any Republicans to
address issues of affordability Public
Safety housing and a host of other
issues instead of a parade of complaints
many Republicans would like to see her
finding issues where vermers are in
agreement with the new Administration
and I think there's a couple
opportunities I think there's a renewed
focus on healthy foods and that's
something that Vermont is known for that
vermonter um see as part of our identity
um something that I think secretary
Kennedy is is bringing into the
administration that's an area of of
common agreement um just a few weeks ago
we had a border agent shot and killed
here in Vermont and yet representative
balent has virtually ignored the plague
of problems that we've had at our
northern border Democrats like balant
can't plan to just hold opposition
rallies every 6 weeks and think things
are going to get better they have to
come to the table and be willing to be
part of the solution not part of some
kind of permanent activist base that's
going to oppose everything that
Republicans are doing
