during the past few sessions the
legislature has enacted legislation over
gubinatorial vetos that will increase
cost to Vermoners in our energy fields
we need action this session to mitigate
some of these
increases we are pleased to report that
Senate Natural Senate Natural Resources
Committee advanced a measure last week
to repeal the clean heat standard
however if it passes the Senate it's
going to need action in the House and
thus far we've seen no appetite in the
committee that has that bill uh to do
anything if approved um I'm sorry
additionally the House Energy and
Digital Infrastructure Committee has
been silent on bills designed to ease
the burden on our energy costs it's
almost been like
crickets no action on the governor's
comprehensive energy plan
H289 to date no action on removing the
private right of action in the global
warming solutions act contained in H52
which has tripartisan sponsors there are
others as well it is time for action to
help Vermoners with
affordability i will now turn it over to
Representative Haley thank you
