WHY GERMAN BEAUTY PRODUCTS ARE WORTH THE HYPE 🇩🇪 DM drugstore favourites you must try!

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel and if you're new here it is so great to have you. I'm Antoinette, a New Zealander living in Germany. So I am here today with a highly requested German drugstore haul. It's no secret, I absolutely love German drugstores. I don't think you can beat them honestly. Germany has the best drugstores. I love all German drugstores but my favourite would have to be DM. Something I absolutely love about DM is that you can find some really high quality products that are just so inexpensive, like ridiculously cheap. And I love doing research on DM products and just finding out good products to try through influencers and then going to DM, trying out the products, testing them, seeing if they're any good or not. And I have found some just great products that I am sticking to. So I thought I would share some of my favourites. So I'm going to be turning 39 next month and I have been noticing some changes in my skin. It's inevitable, it's just part of life. I am very much at peace with my age but I'm somebody who likes to look the best I can and I enjoy beauty products and skincare products and fashion and I think there's nothing wrong with that. So for the last year or so I have been really getting into skincare and I never used to think skincare was important until I started taking care of my skin and I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin texture, my fine lines and I am on a mission to find really great products that are not expensive and I think I found some really good ones. One product I just love, I absolutely love this and this is the Beauty Expert Vitamin C Serum Cream and this has 2% vitamin C plus 1% vitamin A. It has a sunscreen and FBS of 30. It also has no scent. It's like perfume free, very very gentle on my skin but also very moisturising. It has the active ingredients so this like triples as skincare, you know, moisturiser, sun cream. If you're looking for just a good sunscreen, sun cream that doesn't break you out with active ingredients and moisturiser, get this one. So this face cream here is also from Belia. I have been loving this face cream lately. It is an anti-wrinkle cream. It can be used as a day cream, a night cream. It is just a really rich moisturiser. It doesn't break me out and it also has vitamin C which is so great for brightening, skin brightening. I just love this moisturiser. It is gentle on my skin. I put this on before I go to bed, like after my skincare routine and I also put it on under my makeup in the morning. It's just a great, very very inexpensive face cream. So next is another skincare product from Belia. I have done a lot of research on these products. I already knew that they were good before I bought them because I had seen reviews but I wanted to try them myself. So this is a vitamin C serum. As you can tell, I'm obsessed with vitamin C. I think it is an amazing anti-ageing product. It is so great for skin brightening. And I think you need to be using a vitamin C serum when you are heading towards your late 30s and up. I mean you don't need to but I would recommend using one. This is a great inexpensive vitamin C serum. So it comes in this little tube here. It's like a little dropper. I've been using this vitamin C serum twice a day for months now and honestly my skin was a bit sensitive to it at first because of the active ingredients but over time, like after maybe three days, my skin did get used to it. I felt a little bit of a tingling feeling but I don't feel that anymore. I wash my face thoroughly. I put on my resinol, let that sort of sink in. Then I put on my vitamin C serum and let that sort of settle for a while and then I put on this face cream here that I showed you. And then I put this on in the morning when I wake up and just love it. Okay so next up, you guys are probably going to be thinking, what Vaseline? This is just a regular Vaseline and at DM you can't find the actual proper Vaseline brand but they do have this version, the Balea version and I am really into Vaseline right now. I mean this is just regular Vaseline but it has so many uses. The DM version is quite a bit less expensive and it does exactly the same thing and so I have been really into skin slugging lately. If you haven't heard of that term, just google it or have a look on YouTube but it is highly recommended by dermatologists everywhere to do skin slugging like once a week or so. If you have really dry skin, just sort of putting Vaseline over your face at night. It just really helps to lock in that moisture from your skin care products. It just adds that sort of barrier to your skin and when it's really cold, my skin gets so dry and I do this like once a week, sleep in it and wake up and your skin feels amazing. I know it sounds crazy but trust me it works. This product here, also from Balea. It's just a really nice, light, gentle makeup remover. I use this every night to take my makeup off and I love it. It doesn't make my skin break out. It's just a very, very nice face wash for sensitive skin or just for any skin really. So yeah, highly recommend this one. Obviously it's by Balea, so super inexpensive. To remove my eye makeup, I'm not sure if I've recommended this in the past, in a past video but I've been using this makeup remover by Elvadi. I never know how to pronounce that name but it is a natural cosmetic line from DM and all of their products are plant-based and just really lovely products. My mascara just glides off when I use this. I just put this on a cotton pad and gently take off my makeup in the evening and it's just a really great eye makeup remover. Okay, now this is a deodorant I have been using for a little while now. I used to always use the antiperspirant deodorants because they were the only ones that I thought worked for me but it's not ideal. If you know what goes into an antiperspirant deodorant, you'd be kind of shocked and I have been looking around for a non-antiperspirant deodorant that works. It's been really hard but I have found this one by Balea. It is soft flower deodorant. It's in this like really basic packaging and I heard it was good. I can't remember. There was an influencer who mentioned it a while back so I thought I'd give it a go and it's really good. It is really good. I do not sweat when I use this which is crazy because it is not an antiperspirant but I'm so pleased I found this one and it's so inexpensive. So inexpensive. Smells really nice too. It's just a great deodorant so I'm gonna keep using this as long as I can. I don't know about summertime if this is going to stand the test of time in the hotter months but maybe we'll try. So this, I mean the packaging is not very attractive or fancy but let me tell you this is an incredible foot cream. If you suffer from dry cracked heels or just have really dry skin on your feet, you need to try this. I've been using this for years. I'm not sure if I've talked about this in other hauls. I don't think I have. I don't know why because it is a really really good foot moisturizer and I also use it as a hand cream. It is amazing as a hand cream. So basically it's very thick. It's almost like a like a shea butter. It's hardly got any scent which I love and yeah just an amazing thick moisturizing hand and foot cream and it's just so cheap. Okay so moving on to some makeup products. I'm so excited to share this one. You guys have probably already heard about it because it is everywhere. It is all over social media but if you haven't, let me introduce you to Lash Without Limits from Essence. This has become my favorite mascara of all time. I am obsessed with this and it is just so cheap. The problem is it is quite often sold out at DM because everybody, like a lot of people know about it, know how good it is. There is a version that looks really similar, a Maybelline version. It's the same color packaging and I think they've pretty much, like I think Essence has pretty much ripped it off but I think this one is better. I used to always use the Maybelline one. This one is like half the price and it's just better in my opinion. It's got this wand and I don't know, there's just something about this wand that just separates your lashes just so beautifully and it just, you know, you can get right in there and it just, I love this mascara. You guys need to try it. Another hyped up product that I had to try and it did not disappoint. I am obsessed with this highlighter. It is a powder highlighter from Catrice and it's called More Than Glow Highlighter and this is in the shade Supreme Rose Beam. I've tried this in their golden shade. It's not as good for my skin tone. It may suit another skin tone but I love the shade. Once again, this one is so hard to find in DM or just any drugstore because it's so popular because it's so good. It's super cheap. All these products that I'm recommending are cheap and it's just so nice. It gives a lovely light fresh glow to my cheeks. I don't know if the camera's picking it up but this is what I wear as my highlighter and you know, as a 38 year old turning 39 next month, I need all of the glow I can get and this really helps with making my skin look a little bit glowy or faking that my skin is a little bit glowy. Another product I love, I'm not sure whether I have recommended this in previous videos. If I have, I apologize but actually I can say that if I've recommended this before, I'm still using it. It has stood the test of time. This one is a primer and it is from the brand Elvadi, the DM natural cosmetic brand. I absolutely swear by this primer. I have been using it for the last three years. I put this on every morning under my... I don't always wear foundation but I always wear a little bit of concealer so this will go under my concealer or if I'm wearing foundation, under my foundation and it makes my makeup last a lot longer and it makes it go on a lot smoother and it just, I don't know, there's something about this primer. I just, I love it so much. It's not like tacky, it dries quickly and it's just a very, very, just a nice, really good quality primer and it lasts for so long. Like I think I have had this primer for maybe six months and it's not even half used up so you just have to use a tiny bit, a little goes a long way. So yeah, highly recommend this one.
