Hey, how we doing? I'm Doyle from Cloakroom. This is my colleague Cam from Cloakroom.
What's up? Yeah, we're on this tour with Full of Hell and Spy and Better Lovers.
It's been a long road, you know, but the path is the goal. It's good to be back in Chicago
and we're going to show you the Warsled today. It's an E350 and it's served us well so far.
Just a couple zip ties here. Looks like we're a couple lights shy in there. The lights just
died. I'm sorry, Josh. But, yeah, let's pop in here. Who's that? Who's that? Who could that be?
All right, well, here you have it here. This is the command post. Really, the co-pilot, you know,
I mean, we're making coffee. Cam's the coffee maker. Do you have your Chemex in here?
It's in the green room. Fair, fair.
I should whip it out. What do we got here? We got a dirty glove.
We got some cautionary provisions in case we have to pull over. Everybody should have that.
Touring bands, you should. We got our paper cranes. Our drummer makes these. Oh, that's
probably not one he's proud of. This one's nice. It's got a tiny little head on him.
But, yeah, he makes these, you know, and he's anxiety ridden in the passenger seat there.
That's his hat. You know, you got to put that in the front there. I also feel like the more crap
that's on the dashboard, the less likely you are to get broken into. We also have the dream
catcher here. You know, it does provide us dreamless sleep. There's a lot of dreamless
sleep in this van. Yeah, we drive with windows down 90% of the time. Yep. And our drummer put
this right here. Great spot for it. The charger pushes the phone right out. It just goes right
out of there. So it's fallen right here on the side a few times. There's a video. We had it
right here on this. We should show this mirror. Actually, we should show the mirror. We have a
great mirror over here. Oh, that's a quick fix. It's really, uh, you have to have a trained eye
to move this van around. Sometimes you just have to have a quick fix. What else we got in here?
We got provisions. We got bananas. We got the snack bag in the middle. Yep, yep, yep. What's
this? Is this a fancy soda of yours, Cam? It's a road water, yeah. Oh, vodka soda grapefruit.
That's not Cam's. That's mine. Get the Richie's. Uh-huh. The Honey Dijon. Bobby, our bass player,
and I, we had this like crazy mandala effect. And we thought that there was just Dijon. And we bought
these in Oregon once. It just said Dijon on it. And he's vegan and he's not like privy to eating
honey most of the time. And I swear that there was like a yellower bag that said just Dijon.
But I think like the universe split, you know, like it doesn't actually exist. But I also love
that the mandala effect is like a classic excuse for a 35-year-old to be like, yeah, there's these
pieces of paper and the universe line up like this. And, you know, when the barometric pressure
is right, things split and the timeline shifts. You could just be remembering things wrong. So
that could also be the same thing. Well, we usually do a playlist. Like we'll all go around
and we'll put one song on for each person. And then when we get to a venue, we'll put that on
before we play. And we'll share that with y'all. If you want to listen to a cloakroom playlist or
two. We got Grumpy from Sweet Cobra here. Love Grumpy. He's always with us. I don't think there's
anything more exciting. What's this? A beard? Beard brush? This is important. Another anxiety
ridden thing to do. What's under here? Oh, that could be the fix, actually. I didn't even know
we had that. We should fix this, Cam. I think that's a little too big. That's the original.
That's the OG. That's crazy. We should put that on. We should. Let's take a look in the cargo hold,
shall we? Okay, so I'm in my zone here. I got my pillow. The pillowcase has turned into this
yellow form. I don't know. It's probably dangerous for my head to be on every night.
It's kind of crazy to bring a pillow on tour, but I respect it, Cam. Yeah, I don't plan on
bringing it home. We got these little photos here. This is Sam from Full of Hell. Yep, he made
it. That's Doyle right there, and then that's Siona who took these photos from Philly. Great
photographer. Then we have this massive net above my head. Multiple things fall on me every day.
Doyle's shoes are the main thing that fall. I don't even know what's up here. There's a
yoga mat. All the sunglasses. Kimmy's vest. Yeah, one day it's all going to come crashing
down on me. I don't think so. I don't know, man. These little wood squares are real squeaky.
Kind of sounds like a bird, like a grouse or something in here. It's a great invention.
I do like that. It's very Swiss family Robinson. This is aftermarket. Yeah,
this is a Remus. This is a Remus invention. Yeah, definitely. We have a speaker on this
door that barely works. I think only three of the speakers in this van function. Yeah,
we lose a lot of the lead guitar. This was driven around the city of Chicago,
and I think that this was a wheelchair lift. So these go right down into the road. Oh yeah,
we were playing that game earlier on the tour. Yeah, we had this little ball of paper. Yeah,
if you go fast enough, the air comes up. So we had peanuts and pieces of paper we would
hold up here and try and drop through. I'm not a fan of littering, but we had an Advil box,
like a bottle right here, and we would drop something, and it would shoot up,
and we'd try to make it in the basket. Paper ball game. Yeah, paper ball game. Paper ball game. We
didn't make it. I don't know if we made it once. That's a Canadian boy. Oh yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna
keep it. But I did make one peanut from like all the way up here. It was so cool. It was great. It
was so cool. Yeah, I was going into Asheville. Oh, these are from a Greyhound bus. So there's that.
They look really cool. This is Bobby's water bottle. Armrest is permanently stuck. Oh yeah,
I tried to put this armrest up just to see, and now it's just, it's there forever. It's like a
homeless person deterrent. It's terrible. You can't sleep here. You have hostile architecture
in the van. God, dude, we got to do something about that. We need like a hacksaw. It's terrible.
Well, I mean, we try to mix it around, you know, just to be fair. I like to sit here because my
legs are long. We usually have my suitcase. My suitcase is usually here, so all the way back,
put the legs up. Yeah, I can put his legs up. God, we got to do something about that, man.
We got shotgun and driver always. I'm usually here, and then one back here. Oh,
it does work. See, I told you to jiggle it. Oh, God.
Oh, well, that's gone forever. Where'd it go? What's in here? We got two beers.
Two beers. I've had those for a while. Give me that. Those are old beers. They've been
through the Canadian border twice this morning. What if I just got electrocuted?
Okay, there's a reason why it doesn't work. The lights are on.
This is a fool's errand here. This is a failing game. Hold on. Oh, let's take a look at the real
cargo hold, shall we? These doors don't stay open. They swing on us at all times.
We got these little bags. Hopefully, we don't need to use this
snow scraper. Yeah, everything goes in here in the cargo hold.
That, I feel like, was another wheelchair assistance sort of thing. Rips up the cabs.
Sure does. It's a different pack every night. You never know what's going to happen.
Sometimes, the guitars are on the bottom. Sometimes, they're
flying through on the right side of the van. Yeah, they'll be in the seats.
It's pretty roomy. It's pretty tall. The extendo is really nice, but it does leak.
Oh, yeah. You want to show them this Remus-ism, too? Shut that door.
So, we felt like it was coming through the top here.
It's a Remus-fashioned, this little magnet. So, that works mostly. We loaded into Philly
like a week ago, and Bobby's bass was completely soaked in water. We were scared to plug it in.
Yeah, it worked. We're good. Give me a little cleansing. By the grace of God.
But, yeah, this is a war sled. This is pretty much it. Hey, thanks for checking out our van.
My name's Doyle. This is Cam. We play in a band called Cloakroom. We got a new record out called
Last Leg of the Human Table on closed casket activities. And, by now, I think Bad Larry
should be on it. Yeah, yeah. Let us know what you think about Bad Larry, and hope you enjoy it.
