This is my go- to yoga routine during menstruation cycle. Try this gentle and easy 10 minute yoga to ease off the cramps and aches! This can also help to protect our uterus! #yogaforbeginners
If you're suffering from your period pain or you don't have any cramps but you still want to move your body,
this video is made for you.
Hi girls, welcome back. I know you're on your period, you don't want to move your body,
but let me tell you, this is the exact time when you should move and exercise.
Because when you exercise, it can help with the blood circulation, which can help to ease off the pain
and to protect our uterus.
I'm also on my period today, so I need this yoga routine as much as you do.
Okay, so without further ado, let's relax together.
Okay, now come sitting down on your mat, sit up tall and straight. We're gonna do some warm-up.
Very easy, close your eyes, just breathe in and breathe out.
Give it a big inhale and exhale.
Drop everything in your head right now.
Tell yourself you're good enough, you're here to relax for the next 10 minutes.
So don't think about anything, just be present and enjoy.
Now slowly open your eyes and draw circles with your body.
Keep your back straight, imagine you're using your chest to draw the circles.
You can draw the circles a little bit bigger,
because this can help us to open our hips and our pelvis.
Remember to keep breathing in and out.
Give it a big inhale, when you come back, exhale, draw the circle.
Okay, now we're gonna draw the circles the other way around.
Okay, now remain sitting on the ground.
Inhale, lift up your hands up in the air.
Exhale, twist your body to the left.
Inhale, lift up.
Exhale, twist to the left.
Relax your abdominal muscles.
Don't squeeze in, don't need to engage your core.
This is not an abs workout.
Allow the blood to flow, relax your abdomen.
Okay, now you know the drill, we'll have to do it on the other side.
Okay, now come squatting down on the floor,
using your elbow to push back your knees.
We're gonna hold here for a few breathings.
This can help us to open up our inner thighs,
open up our pelvis and help with the blood flow.
Okay, now remain the same position,
this time placing one of your hands down, lift one,
then we're gonna switch side.
Exhale, lift up.
Inhale, come down.
Okay, now come sitting down on your mat with an open leg.
Open your legs as wide as you can, then start drawing the circles.
Imagine you're a mixer, mixing something in a large bowl.
Draw the circles from one foot to the other foot.
If it can reach to your feet, it is completely okay.
Just draw it as far as you can.
If it can only reach to your knees, it is completely fine.
Yes, now the other way around.
Remember, exhale when you draw the circles.
Inhale, come back, keep your back straight.
We are almost done.
Okay, now come lying down on your mat.
This is very relaxing.
Just simply use your hand to grab your feet, then push down.
We're in happy baby pose.
This is the perfect pose to do during our menstruation.
Whenever I get period pain, after I do this, I feel so relaxing.
Close your eyes, push down your legs, and relax your mind.
Okay, now slowly put down your legs, placing your feet together.
Just relax your legs, let the gravity take your body.
Relax everything in your body, in your mind.
Just focus on breathe in and breathe out.
Inhale, breathing in all the good luck, all the positivity, all the good thoughts.
Exhale, breathe out all the toxins, all the negativity, all the bad luck.
Okay, now slowly open your eyes, placing your hands on the floor,
your fingers touch your heels.
Then lift up your hips, give it a big inhale and exhale.
We're gonna hold there for a few breathings.
Now slowly exhale and come down.
We're gonna lie on the floor to relax our back.
Okay, now placing your left leg on top of your right,
toes tap the floor, turn your legs to the right side of your body,
while your upper body turn to the left.
We're gonna hold here for a few breathings.
Okay, now inhale, slowly come back to the center.
Now we're gonna switch to the other leg.
This time, legs turn to the left and your body turn to the right.
This is my favorite pose.
Not only this can help with the pirouette pain,
this can also help with our lower back pain.
Now inhale, come back to center and release everything onto the floor.
What you need to do is to do nothing.
Not think about anything, not giving any power or any force into your body.
Let the gravity takes you.
Drop everything in your mind right now.
Not thinking about the past, not worrying about the future.
You're here.
You're good enough.
You don't have to think about it every time and every second.
You're here to relax.
Whenever you're ready, slowly inhale and open your eyes.
We are finished.
I hope you guys enjoy this yoga routine.
I will see you guys in the next one.
Bye.
