Almost REGRETTED Taking This 23 Foot Boat 50 Miles Offshore Fishing!

oh there we go another oh this one's bigger oh all right guys it's about 4:15 in the morning see there's pathway Bridge we're heading out offshore we're going to do some deep dropping there we go oh yeah oh there we go again then a little troll so the winds are a little higher than we thought they were going to be 10 to 12 uh out of the North most of the day so might get a little choppy but uh we'll see what happens once we get out there we got about a 50 60 mile run to make before we get to our spot so out again with Brock and uh we're going to Boogie get on out there I'll see you in a few let's go all right guys it was a lot rougher than we thought it was going to be but we made it out here so you can see it's pretty pretty swelly and choppy but uh we're close to the pipeline Brock's getting the Wahoo lures ready we're going to troll for a while see if we can get anything and if not then we'll start bottom fishing it was just too rough to troll this swells are too big so we're going to just hop around and hit some bottom spots this the first one we're going to stop at it's about almost 300 ft of water here so I'll drop down see what happens 420 G may go lighter but I'll drop this first and see what happens okay on bottom one two three four let's try Fork cranks up may go a little lighter on The Jig yeah so The Jig was too heavy that I was using so I downsized it to about a 240 G jig all right let's drop the lighter jig see what happens oh yeah the black and we knew fish were down there so I was hoping that the slower fall with the lighter jig would entice a bite haven't got anything yet nope there we go oh this is good this good fish real good fish it's fighting like a grouper these slow pitch rods are designed to be super flexible so they aid with the drag when the fish pulls hard allowing the rod to flex instead of the line taking the force get the GFF ready might be a big red snapper hopefully that's what it kind of look like on the bottom behind 300 ft is a lot deeper than you think it is when you have to reel a fish up all the way from the bottom come on oh grouper grouper big Scamp big redou oh is it red oh yeah it is a red dang it out of season crap got my grouper but crap Scamp grouper is what we were targeting cuz that's the only grouper open at this time all right guys good way to break the ice nice fat red grouper but uh we got to send them down they're out of season so we're gonna vent them send them back down oh yeah listen that air coming out I will take you tricky nice all right see if we can get him back down in there ah I vented him good there he goes oh yeah oh yeah he's good oh yeah good job all right good way to start off the catches big old Keeper look at that trigger that's a slab probably 17 to the he ate Aid where's the bait at uh I got tons of cigar minow there and Squid right there KN in that Center that Center hole right here okay I I'll drop one hole on and see what happens all right guys we're going to got drop that single drop rig all the way to the bottom and then hold on I got 100 lb floral ler on it and 80 lb tasline braad here then I got a 20 o Sinker on there all right I'm on bottom oh boy oh he pulled oh that was big man he got it too break no I think the hook just pulled and got my bait yep just got my bait that was big man all right going drop this hunk of Boston mackerel down you think that would be oh man oh damn he cut me off that had to be a shark on a spot holding a lot of fish so I didn't want to take time to retie the bait Rod so I decided just to go ahead and grab the slow pitch setup and start jigging again there we go oh boy oh yeah yep it's a good grouper oh God this thing is massive man got it you can't get in a hurry when you're reeling something up with a slow pitch setup cuz usually the line's lighter than what you would normally Ed for this size of fish your best bet is just to use the Reel like a winch and slowly bring it up and let the rod absorb any head shakes or pulls hey just be ready with the Gaff yeah Big Fish on The Jig guys are you kidding me this was the biggest trigger I ever hooked and on artificial at that holy cow PB trigger on the jig you need a picture that jig mouth yeah here I got you I got my right here okay careful I got oh it's hung up all right okay here we go y the this one this line bottom Line's the golly 20 20 and a half 21 to the wow 21 to that's definitely my PB where those pliers I'm going to bleed them too all right there you go there we go this feels like another trigger on the jig oh he popped off really yep man may you ready to move to the SC Camp spot I'm ready okay all right we're at the next next spot guys they're just kind of all over the place here we ran over three spots on the way to this one so we'll just keep going till we get our Scamp groupers caught all right Swiss and jigs guys try the red and white candy stripe we can kind of drift too because oh there you go that's that's one right there oh oh he's he came back for it and then he there we go did I get sharked I don't know or it might be AJ a oh God just slowly bring them up oh my God definitely better have the Gaff ready for this one got it I wasn't sure what I had but I knew it wasn't a trigger and it was the red grouper is fighting way too hard dude this is a beast yeah I always get nervous at this time because this is when you lose a lot of fish when they can see the boat and then they have like a secondary freak out it's going to run Lo your drag bit okay might hug you LIF [Music] them I knew that keep what 34 yeah so we're going to send them back down man we are running the gamut on the species what another golly come out of the bottom oh yeah yeah I saw him eat that wow don't pull this is definite grouper oh man I hope so I want to Scamp so bad what I just got on the way that was our whole goal today was to come out and try and catch a limit a Scamp grouper but so far we hadn't even been able to hook one but it's not a bad constellation when you're catching other kinds of group or even if you can't keep them they're fun to catch what is this oh no stupid Alo oh isn't it yeah yeah had a lot of luck uh catching some big red grouper on the Boston mackerel we had so I decided to drop some dead baits and see what happens so this is my heaviest bottom rig it's an avat Raptor with 80 lb tasline braid on it this thing can handle some beasts all right let's drop the you big hun of Boston mackerel you oh yeah there you go this is good oh yeah I think this is a red snapper just about to say that's probably red snapper it's bouncing like a red snapper or a big trigger it how'd you know big red snap not even that big thought he was going to be bigger than that perfect size yeah all right wow barely hooked all right guys another species for today red snapper get him vented there wouldn't be a day of fishing without one of those all right got them vented get them down there he goes all right guys back on this well this is a new spot that's 100 yards from the one we started out in this area but it's lit up look like a lot of bait down there which might be good you already get hit oh yeah I got thumped hard and it didn't hook him oh god oh holy oh that hit so hard that's a grouper 100% oh boy he hit that so freaking hard coming up now slowly but yeah Big Boy oh come on you on oh my god did you get cut off again yeah it felt like I hooked the woo so while Brock's over there getting cut off every every drop I'm over here hooking up with big fish I don't get why I'm Scamp be Scamp red God I know that yep I was trying not to jinx myself and not say anything didn't work another grouper guys another grouper where' I put the vent tool all right went right down sweet oh yeah oh oh this is big it's another big one please be the big Scamp if this is the big Scamp we can leave yep really thought this was going to be our Scamp yeah look at that jellyfish right there damn oh I got somebody's oh no that was jellyfish tentacles oh foul hook trigger no but look where he was hooked barely bye guy I thought that was a big grouper dang it especially when they're hooked
