This Is Why You Fish TINY Saltwater Creeks!

all right guys welcome back to the channel uh it's little after lunchtime I spent all morning fishing in Port St Joe and the bite was dead so on the way back I decided to hit some backwaters in Panama City Beach to see if I could Salvage the day and maybe get a video out of it so you see I got the links here we're going to be trolling some artificials uh some fish bites paddle Tails uh got some artificial shrimp we're going to go see what we can stir up maybe we get into some red fish or trout or something like that so we got a couple lures we're just going to troll these behind us and until we start getting a bite we're just keep trolling around and then the trout should be kind of concentrated in one little area this time of year now this is really my first time ever using a black lure and salt water we used to use some black top Waters at night back in Oklahoma when we were fishing ponds but I'd never tried it in salt water but I thought it was worth a shot here because the water was pretty dark and it was a cloudy day so it should do a good job imitating the silhouette of a bait fish here we go all right so you can see as soon as I got to the first deep hole here it didn't take long for the action to start what what's going on oh I do have one I got a little trout little baby trout it's a pretty one pretty trout all right come on hold still hold still all right guys nice pretty trap little guy all right he was over there on that bank let's see if there's any more just slowly bumping it on the bottom oh yeah that's better that's a little better yeah that's decent not I don't even think he's keeper size but we're not keeping fish today all right we're getting into them now good deal I'm try working a little bit faster let it get down the bottom there we go what do we got here another little one man these are little guys oh there he got off all right that's better that's a better oh dang it that's a better try there all right at least we're on some fish it's tough time of the year that's better maybe yeah little better little better I'm not keeping fish today so all right let's see if we can get this guy without touching him yeah that's a nice one cute cute little guy ah come on here we go all right let him go there we go all right well not enough God they're all like a little micro trout won't even have to touch you maybe you calm down all right there we go swim off there he goes all right fish bites paddletail is killing them uh I'm using my ninja dagger 7 foot rod with my Florida fishing products Osprey I've got 20 lb Beyond braid and you saw me put on that 15 lb fluorocarbon leader earlier I believe I'm using a three 1/8 oun zman jig head with the black fish bites butt kicker see right there let's go a little deeper let's go that way cast that way and see what happens right before the bridge over there there's a real deep hole so they might be stacked up in there because the water's still pretty cold we haven't had a sunny day to warm the water up since the freeze all right there we go is that a little bit better maybe let's see yeah little better little bit better well he did try to choke that didn't he there we go all right let's let him go here we go I mean it's almost every cast yeah Bo they are choking this fish bites down that's for sure there we go all right I mean you can't really complain if you're catching a fish every cast oh there we go a little bit better one a little fatter oh little red fish nice all right well second species of the day nice little red little runt didn't think that was fighting like a trout pretty guy all right let him go okay that's better that's better that's a much better fit F unless he snagged what in the oh it's a red dang it I thought I had a good trout crud all right another little runt red it's all right I'm just happy to be catching fish this past two weeks has been absolutely brutal there we go what do I got oh is that a decent trout no another little dinky H yeah pretty small all right let's get this all right all right hold still hold still gotcha it be easy one all right another nice one nice little bunch of these little juveniles this is how it is though like in the winter sometimes I mean you take what you can get you all you can do is go fish these Backwater with the Deep creeks and catch some trout and some red fish especially after these monster cold fronts where we get all those freezing temps but I mean it's better than not catching anything all right what is that what do I got another little trout man these little guys are just so abundant it's crazy where is your [Music] daddy all right nope they did not oh feels more like a redfish nope it's just a feisty trout wow that guy was he is worked up holy cow okay we got you there you go oh I sent I tried sending through email I this is big let me call you back this a good trout all right good [Music] trout yeah not a bad one I mean not a monster bigger than some of the ones we've been catching so I'd switched to the fish bites curly tail in white and it just wasn't getting as consistent a bite as you'll see when I switch back here in a minute to the black paddle tail it real upset when I use the net when the fish isn't big I don't know why that upsets some people I'd rather just make sure I landed it and have it in the net but oh well not going to make everybody happy there we go all right got another let me guess another trout barely landed them all right come on buddy all right he gone figured there'd be some over by this tree okay guys if you haven't noticed I'm in my Hobie links uh I've used it a few times just kind of tested it out feeling it out uh this will be the first video with it uh so far I'm really happy with it uh the stability uh the portability of it I can throw it on top of my truck without breaking my back I can't do that with the Oldtown and I can't do that with the Hobie Outback they're just too big but this one I can uh it's easy to carry down to the beach um got a lot of advantages but uh here after about two months of using it I'll do a review for you guys and uh tell you my thoughts on it there we go all right back to the paddle tail I never thought black would work but they sent me a few of these and try out uh the black's done really outperformed everything thing today just like that as soon as I put it back on First cast there we go nice nice all right H still H still H still one of the bigger ones of the day super skinny though God these guys are skinny golly second cast putting it back on a little acrobatic one here golly come here oh you got foul hooked that's why you're mad you didn't even get it in your mouth there we go another decent one that's fun when the bik's like this jeez never should have taken the uh black paddle tail off all right that's three out of four cast landed trout and the one I didn't land one I got hit wow all right what do we got another trout feels like it yes sir wow holy cow how did he choke that so bad they are just choking down the fish bites today all right all right stop there we go all right off you go
