Amazing Day at the 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival - Grand Fiesta Tour Reopened at Mexico.

[Music] heat Heat [Music] [Applause] [Music] Welcome back to Zephr Travels I'm Diane and I'm Randy And today we're back in Epcot at the Flower and Garden show as you can tell from behind us Yeah it's not too crowded and it it's a little bit cloudy but it's quite warm in the high 80s today And uh so we're going to take a look around and uh see what there is to see and see if we can find something to eat Yeah we understand that the Flower and Garden Festival besides the flowers is also known for its food And we're kind of hungry so let's see what we can find Okay so let's go Let's go Oh look Orange ears Orange ears How cute Yeah they are kind of cute some cute head over Wow this is heavy Oh my gosh you could kill somebody with that Oh isn't that cute yeah it's really cute $25 We have to get one on the way out Maybe cuz we're not carrying it all day No that's true The hats are 45 or the you know the ear the ears Oh Oh that's good Can you smell grapefruit yeah Smell Oh yeah Nice We should have some of this for our garden Yeah How pretty flowers are Yes [Music] What was that hydrangeanger bouquet Oh butterfly toperary And right over here you can actually go see real butterflies if you want to have a butterfly [Music] exhibit We're going to head into the land We've done Saurin so we're not going to do Saurin this time We're actually going to take the land boat ride and do that Well we're in the bu land building We're going to head over and jump in line for Living with the Lands Living with the land right there And see how this goes We get to lead Oh it feels cool It's like a storm Yeah Must have been monsoon season Yeah Oh look here [Music] More gator See we don't have to go to gator [Music] land Desert In the desert nature has created a very different but no less beautiful living system And while this arid landscape may seem lifeless it is very much alive Prairie dogs Prairie dogs Yeah Prairie once appeared as desolate as the desert But over time rain water and nutrients would one day become home to the American [Music] dog Chicken They get a lot of eggs Yeah Oh we go outside Oh pineapples Welcome to our living laboratory where scientists from Epcot and the US Department of Agriculture are exploring innovative ways Oh look edible flower garden Now rice java apples I tell you the tropics are home to the greatest diversity of plants on the planet Many of these like papaya bananas cacao coffee and rice are well known around These are just a few of the edible plants that have been an important source of nutrition for people living in the tropics Edible flower garden basil sunflower We made it Crispy pear Yeah While there are more than 50,000 edible plant species in the world most of us are families sorum and millet plus rice account for nearly 23 of our global food consumption Learning how to increase yields of these stabilizers We are significantly reducing our reliance on conventional pesticides We're growing these crops using our nutrient system This technique precisely controls and recycles water and nutrients With it we can produce over 27,000 heads of lettuce aes Strawberries Strawberries Oh look at the strawberries Oh they look good Yeah that looks good Some of our best ideas have been inspired by nature like these fruit and vegetable trees By growing these ground plants vertically we can increase yields and better control diseases These crops taste as good as they look In fact we serve more than 15 tons of produce from our green houses in restaurants here at the land every year [Music] Even the plants go on rides Yeah The future of agriculture may include innovative ideas like this vertical growing system Plants grown in this way use a fraction of the space required by traditional growing beds That saves international section of Epcot and I think one of our issues is we're not adventurous eaters Yeah So true We're having trouble finding something that that we want to try Um and usually what ends up this is pretty much what happens every time we come here Then usually we end up doing is we go get go to one of our standbys or one Yeah One's one we've been to before right so we will see if we find something different or we go to one of our standbys Well looks like we're going for something that we know we like which is the barbecue It's a good meal here so I'm happy with that Diane got the chicken fingers Yes And again I knocked the drink over Unbelievable I got the cold pork mac and cheese Yeah I will say that this is probably one of the better meals that you can get here Probably if you like barbecue Looks like there's some work being done on the tower [Music] Got the seven dwarfs Actually six of them Dope is over by [Music] [Music] Cinderella Some trolls here in uh the Nordica Always a big crowd of kids playing the drums Yep Here's a draw bridge Yep Which we didn't realize was a draw bridge until it was drawn Right [Music] We walked into the Mexican pavilion and we were surprised to find out that the Grand Fiesta Tour starring the three carbonos had recently reopened and so we decided to take the boat ride and check it out Grand Fiesta Tour starring the three Calvin Arrows [Music] [Music] You have to float right by the restaurant Yeah like let's go See if they can you know they have such a big indoor space here that they make actually make it feel like it's a night [Music] [Music] I mean it looks very welcome I am I am And this is we must [Music] [Applause] [Music] the be [Music] [Applause] [Music] Sure Like a Mexican small world Yeah You see we are looking for [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Fireworks down [Music] behind us to guide us [Music] [Music] You know there's those who say that Woody and BIP have a thing going Oh I went down in the toy box Okay [Music] Well we finished our day at Epcot at the garden and flower festival Flower and garden Flower and garden festival And uh it was neat A lot of uh nice flower arrangements and topiaries and Yeah So it was you know it was a worth coming It was worth coming and seeing Yeah And we got through a few more rides that we haven't done before So got those checked off the list I
