Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my channel!
Today I'd like to show you Crater Lake National Park.
Located in the State of Oregon, Crater Lake N.P. is one and only national park of Oregon. The main attraction of this park is Crater Lake - the deepest lake in the USA. This lake is well known for its blue color and surrounding caldera rim - remnant of Mount Mazama - a volcano, which erupted about 7700 years ago. Collapse of that volcano led to the formation of this lake.
This place is truly unique and it was on my list for a very long time, and since I visited it now, I can assure you, this place is worth of visiting!

Hey what's up guys, welcome back to my channel.
Well another day, another story.
Today I am in Oregon and today I would like to show you one of the prettiest places in
this beautiful state.
I want to show you Crater Lake National Park.
Let's check it out.
Crater Lake National Park is the 5th oldest national park in the United States and the
only national park in the state of Oregon.
It was established back in 1902.
The park's main feature is the caldera of Crater Lake, a remnant of Mount Mazama, a
destroyed volcano and the surrounding hills and forests.
Mount Mazama was a complex volcano in a segment of Cascade Volcanic Arc and Cascade Range.
Most of the mountain collapsed following a major eruption which happened approximately
7700 years ago.
So what we see today guys is the result of massive eruption and a massive collapse of
volcanic dome which basically went down into lava or magma chamber and created this caldera
which basically got filled with water and now it's the lake.
Well guys, I don't know about you but me personally, I love this place.
It's incredible.
I mean the views from this point are priceless.
Check it out.
Incredible place.
I've been to a few national parks in the United States and you know like Zion National Park
or Yellowstone National Park, Grand Canyon.
All of them are amazing but I heard that Crater Lake National Park is also super beautiful
but you know I always thought like you know it's not that popular national park.
I don't know a lot of people usually going to like Zion National Park or to Grand Canyon
National Park, something like that.
But to be honest, I'm amazed with this place guys.
Wow, this place is amazingly beautiful.
It's incredible.
It is totally incredible.
Wow.
Not for nothing.
If you guys going to be visiting state of Oregon, don't forget to stop by Crater Lake
National Park.
It's totally gorgeous place and definitely worth of visiting 100%.
The lake is about 1,949 feet deep.
In meters it's about 594 meters deep which makes it the deepest lake in the United States
and the second deepest lake in North America and also the ninth deepest lake in the world
guys.
So this lake is pretty deep.
The caldera rim ranges in elevation from 7,000 to 8,000 feet or equals about 21 to 2400 meters.
But honestly, my main question was how tall was the original Mount Mazama?
How tall was the volcano?
Well geologists suggest that it was about 12,000 feet tall, yes or 3,700 meters tall.
So it's a pretty huge portion of this volcano went down basically suggesting that that eruption
was a truly devastating in this area.
It is hard to compare to some similar events in this area because as you can see the volcano
is gone.
Now it's just a crater lake here.
The only event which I can recall which was pretty devastating around this area which
happened on May 18, 1980, it was the eruption of Mount St. Helens in the state of Washington.
That eruption often has been declared the most disastrous volcanic eruption in the U.S.
history.
But you know compared to Mount Mazama which is not active volcano anymore, Mount St. Helens
remains as an active volcano until today.
I guess the most wonderful and most important thing about visiting any national park is
this peaceful atmosphere.
It's like meditation to me.
It's incredible guys.
So well my main message, I highly recommend you to go to the nature, highly recommend
you to go and visit national parks in the United States because all of them are pretty
gorgeous and well I've been in a few and so far I love all of them honestly.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, what can I tell you?
This particular national park is amazing.
Wow!
It is way above my expectations.
I knew that it's a lake, it's in a crater and stuff like that but wow, it's so beautiful,
it's so gorgeous.
I mean, you saw the videos, you saw the footage, wow, I'm impressed, totally impressed.
I think this particular national park should be like one of those must-see national parks
in the United States.
Because, you know, it's like 66 or 67, I think 66 national parks and I mean obviously you
can't see all of them, I mean, maybe you can but I don't know, I don't know anyone who
saw all 66 national parks.
But this one, this one is a must-see and here's a deer, one sec, right there, there is a deer
right here, look, you see, right here, you see.
That's why I love visiting national parks.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I guess this is it for today.
I hope you really enjoyed this video, please don't forget to like it and please don't forget
to subscribe to my channel.
I'll see you later guys, have a nice one, bye-bye.
