Shoshana shows us a workout to target the outer thigh and oblique
Hey everybody, it's Toshanna with Action News' Fitness Tip.
I'm at the Ab Apartments in King of Prussia.
Are you ready to work those outer thighs and your oblique?
Let's do it together.
Come down on the floor with me, okay?
I'm on my left elbow and forearm to start.
So my legs are obviously in front of my body, right?
I don't want them all the way back.
They're at a slight angle in front.
Knees are together to start.
Right hand is on the hip for support, core engagement always.
We're going to lift that left hip off the ground, right?
So see why I pull?
I'm pulling with my oblique, really activating my oblique and my outer left thigh.
Then I'm going to lift that right leg up and lower down.
Then I lower my hip.
So we lift that left hip, abs in, lift that right leg, and lower back down.
So you're going to give me 15 of these, keeping that core engaged the entire time.
Then when you get to your last rep, you're going to hold that left hip up.
Ready?
Here we go.
So right now we're going to work this top leg, and we're just going to pulse this right
leg, right?
So the core is activated.
This left outer thigh is activated, and so is the right.
Phenomenal exercise that you can do with body weight alone.
Don't forget to do the other side, and give it a try today.
