NEW IN IKEA & a trip to the garden centre 🌱

hello guys good morning and welcome back to my channel welcome back to a new video i'm starting this morning in the car so where else would I be in the shops come to the shops i mean we're just a shopping channel at this point we are all in this together we love shopping and that is okay we're shopaholics here we're heading to IKEA this morning i figured I've not been here in a while and it's honestly so quiet the car park is virtually empty and it's been open 20 minutes already so I'm hoping fingers crossed it's going to be a nice pleasant experience depending on how quick I get round and how many things I see who knows we maybe make maybe get some meatballs for lunch i'm not sure there's also a garden center not too far from this one called Not Cuts which is uh a good little mooch around so I think I might pop in there i really want to maybe get some you know the border alongside if you are not new to my channel and you know our garden set up on the left hand side of the garden we've got like the grass area where we've got the herb bed the corner sofa and then between the corner sofa and the house there's like a little row of like low sleepers where I planted a few plants last year some of which like the lavender survived and some of which were more of like a seasonal thing that I would repot and replant again cut them back and they just they are not coming through at all so need replanting and I was actually thinking about maybe redoing that bed either do all lavender or I was thinking hydrangeas so I don't I think I'm probably a bit too early to be buying a full hydranger plant i don't know i'm going to go and see what they've got anyway uh but I know that they when they sort of like die in autumn winter they still keep their heads and they go like a really nice burnt orange kind of color that obviously you could cut if you wanted to um and then obviously during summer they you've got nice big full hydranger bushes cuz they get quite big don't they and that bit does get a bit of sun so I'm thinking maybe of doing like all white hydrangeas i think it looks so pretty along that run i'm imagining it quite full and big though so we'll see what they've got like I said I might be a bit too early for that but anyway let's head on into IKEA this morning i'm not necessarily keeping my eyes out for anything specific so we'll just grab a trolley we'll see where we go i might along the way think oh yeah I could do with one of them and oh yeah could do with one of them so we might have a bit of a haul in this video um but who knows who knows let's grab our bag let's head on in i might also carry this vlog on for a couple of days here we are ikea um because we're going to Alingham tomorrow and Tom and I we've got a reformer Pilates class booked so I thought it'd be quite good to I don't know if I'm going to get a clip of it or not i'm not sure but whilst we're in Altium we might have a quick browse at a few places so let's grab our trolley let's go shopping wow I've just spotted these look at the size of these stems these liies i wonder how much they are they Oh here they are.6 £6 85 cm they are they are huge i quite like the fact that one's open and one's like kind of uh closed so that if a bunch of those could look quite realistic uh this is new i was thinking this might be new but that is nice a little Don't think I've seen this cushion cover before it's like a boulay kind of cover seeing lots of like kind of spring florals and bits and bobs that are new in it's also had a bit of a switch up since when I last came in terms of the styling some new rooms little wicker dog bed you guys ask me all the time where I get Barney's um where I got Barney's bed from it was from Homesense so it's just one of those lucky finds but this this is really nice £80 that one is i'm assuming it comes with the cushion as well although that cushion looks a bit big for that bed seeing some more florals some stems these little kind of greenery stems they've got i'm guessing they've just done these little arrangements for styling purposes but just to give you an idea of what you can create with their faux flowers that's a really pretty bunch how they've styled that one these are great for outdoor hosting especially i've actually got one similar though but they are only5 just good for throwing in some napkins and I always get these ones just the plain um plain white napkins these ones are £2 for a pack of 100 i've still got loads left they last forever yet another little arrangement they've done i can actually see that these are pots so these are um a couple of pots that have just been placed in there together but I do quite like how that looks let's see what else they have new in we've got some new cushions more of a spring style this one uh or is that just the inner that's new cushion with cushion cover there you go £950 i can see this sofa is new this three-seater echo ecom i really like the look of the cushion at the top this one's called Rock Sean i really like the style of that and the actual fabric itself it's like a kind of uh like canvasy rustic texture really really nice it's so quiet there's literally nobody here feel like I've got the whole shop to myself i'm not complaining i saw the light go down Baker Street don't know exactly where she wants to meet the last cigarette broken phone the race going to be really soon i quite like this concept if you are after a standing desk they do do standing desks but like a cheaper alternative would be to get this laptop stand um at £25 they are new and you can just pop that on your work surface so that you can work standing up which is like good for posture and um yeah I mean Tom's got a standing desk in his office anyway but we're looking at redoing his space up there i'm thinking it might be easy to have a really nice desk and pop that like slide away so that as and when he does want to stand up he has that as an option i don't know where to start or when to end i'm afraid again so as well as these cushions that they have the new kind of floral designs they've also got some floral bedding which is kind of like got a crinkle effect to it actually so it' be good one that you don't need to iron which is always a win this one is like I said new in and it's the Pv M range £30 for this set they do have some other floral designs as well i think the other one was my favorite i'm just boring though i'm just a white bedding person it's a lot easier everything white these day beds are good if you've got a smaller room where you want to have the option of a double bed ordinarily you can have it stored away as a single kind of like a little sofa bed but yeah I like how they've got this one styled up with this gingham the V corn range that's a really pretty like nod to spring without it being too floral if florals aren't your thing I think I'm going to have to do it barney's got an IKEA dog and an IKEA polar bear loves them both he has one that stays upstairs one that stays downstairs and the polar bear obviously being white is looking very grubby right now so I'm thinking about treating him to a new one they've also got these which are kind of like Harry Potter style little owls very cute i think you're going to come home with me seem as though it's been a while they've also got the dogs in they don't always have these in stock but they've just got I've just come around the corner and seen loads i'm gonna grab him one of each and he loves playing with that in the garden it's because it's soft as well he can grab hold of it really easily um so I'll get him one of those they do get dirty quite quickly though so that's just that's just a little toy for now and then these are his new bedtime cuddies very simple but this utensils holder this little pot at £8 i can imagine this like Zara home style like I said very simple but really really nice towards me that someone's going to set me free there she was there she was there she was i've never seen these before they're £6 and they are uh little sugar bowls they're near like the coffee cafeter and mugs and things but you could use that as a little pot for anything not just in the kitchen um so I thought I would show you that cuz I've never seen that before i've also seen that these are new in they've got these um wooden chrome black and white i'm thinking about getting one of these white coffee makers for my um like ground coffee now it doesn't say these are new but again I've not seen them before and I thought maybe for spring they could be new in they are enthusiasm and they are handleless which are quite nice for teacups and mugs if you're having like a short coffee they are12 pound for a pack of four really really pretty design this is also a really pretty design for spring and summer and little tip as well with these duvet covers you can make them throws if you buy the single and get just a really thin tog duvet and just have it as a little throw for on the sofa instead of an actual duvet for on a bed i've just seen this design as well alvine Kist i bet you're loving me trying to pronounce all these different uh names but yeah it's a really nice design with more of like a neutral palette as is this one over here which again just has like a slightly smaller detailed print that one is Here we go let's Let's try again copper that one's a bit easier honestly I probably get the pronunciations so wrong for a lot of these things but I'm sure they do it on purpose to make it really hard although I don't know why they do that uh do I need any towels no I don't think I do we can just bypass this section although having said that let me just scoot in here and they have these face cloths which are like waffled on one side towelled on the other which are really good for uh makeup removal and also love these little head towels they're only two pound each i've already got a couple though so I don't need any more um but yeah I just use these every single time I have a shower you also take them away with me cuz quite often with hotels if you've got a massive towel it just falls off whereas these stay put so if you've never tried a head towel before I'm sure most of you have definitely give it a go £2 for those and they've got their own robes as well how much are their bathroes £22 just like a plain kind of toweling fabric that one i am after a new handheld mirror that I want to pop in our spare bedroom but I'm thinking about maybe having a look at Homesense first cuz they've got quite a few like really pretty designs rather than just like a plain and simple chrome maybe one with like a nice wooden base or something i'm not sure i will hold out but if you were interested these ones are only £5 just in the basket section these are my favorite ones that they do at £13 but they do they are quite like as you can tell quite floppy you can fold down the edges as well but um yeah they kind of need something to like fill them out otherwise they do collapse down but it's just such a lovely uh fabric that one good for like putting throws in or if you've got one of those Calax units to pop bits and bobs in there but yes they are my favorite they've also got this basket set of three in the sale for £10 i've also got a couple of these in our house the BHA uh range these ones are five £15 they've got some smaller ones as well but just a really nice kind of ratan wicker what's the difference is it ratan or is it wicker i'm not sure i've never seen a pet range i mean it probably is better suited than the cuddly toys but I know he'd prefer the cuddly toy to one of these bones to be honest with you they've got the harder like chew toys as well little tunnels for cats to run through little bowls and then these chew toys as well feel like that one looks quite sturdy if you've got a dog that likes a good chew toy that one's £10 and then they've also got these little kind of like teepee uh cat houses to these cat scratch pads as well yeah scratching mat £4 for that one and I've spotted the paw prints on the floor so yeah we've got a few more bits over here what's this a like dog blanket that's the pet cushion with the pet beds that I showed you earlier and they've also got the little uh cat house as well or if you've got a small dog I suppose you could get one of those this is more Barney sized these beds with the fold down which There you go you can see it folded down like that if they prefer that's actually pretty good quality it feels quite uh strong oh wow £65 it's quite a lot isn't it you've got the little doughut beds that is so soft that one's £12 if I had a little dog I'd be tempted for that but I don't my dog is a big dog another item I've never seen before but it doesn't say new in so maybe it's just cuz I've not been to IKEA for a while but they've got these frames which have like a really rustic kind of farmhouse themed edge to them like a really rustic wooden finish they've obviously got the huge ones the smaller ones little White Company dupe with the Puo branches that they've got uh there's no price on it I don't think but that's the range sima and yeah I feel like a few of those especially in autumn time would be so so nice i wonder if these are here somewhere yeah these faux hydrangeas look how nice and realistic they look they're almost like dried out on the edges which I feel like makes them look a bit more realistic really pretty color as well they also have these little wreaths in the sale at £3 i think that's a bargain for £3 so they've got a couple of different styles i say this one's a bit more like a dried out maybe autumn time wreath they also have some of these roses which again I think the leaves let it down if I'm honest i felt like the bird itself the flower head looked really nice but yeah I think the leaves are a bit too green on those ones they've also got these huge uh liies are are these liies different form of lily again look how big they are again another sale find and probably more suited to autumn at £5 they've got these like dried leaf looking wreaths as well these are probably better roses the rose itself are slightly more creamier than the other one but like I said the leaves aren't quite as bold and green as the others um and then they've got loads of different varieties they've got these like classic roses as well they do have some of like the curly twigs they're not that big though and I do think they look quite fake to be honest with you how nice is this lantern again I've not seen this one before it's got a glass uh part in the in the middle so you could put flowers in it that are real as well and have it as a nice vase or like I said as like a bit of a candle lantern i think that's kind of what it's meant to be cuz it's with all the little candles and tea lightss but this is how much is this one £15 very very White Company style that one i wonder if there's one on the white company that's close looking to that so it could be a good little dup find we've got a flower box here that is new in at £17 and it is just very simple that you could use indoor or outdoor I suppose it's got a little like acryicky plasticky inner but it's very very thin and flimsy it's not like attached to it either um so you could easily remove that if you wanted to use it for something else even like a little magazine rack in a living room on the floor guys look at that sunshine today literally not a cloud in the sky right next level we're heading towards the rug gallery now uh final floor and I want to see if I can get like a se um like a plane or map for by the back doors i can see this huge one here and they've got a doormat version but I want like a long runner style like this one here on the end if it will focus there we go lows that kind of material but in a runner for by both of the black back doors so we shall see what they've got i know they've got these uh doormats here but yeah that's like just a huge large doormat but Oh in fact two of those could work instead of a runner i am thinking a runner though cuz I've got similar to these that I've been using that's what they look but I just quite like how big those ones are i might pop those in the trolley for now and then if I find a runner come and put these ones back so these are what I've currently got by the back door which are fine at £4 but obviously they're not very big and because they are cream they get the muddy paw prints coming through quite a lot so that's why I'm thinking of upgrading to a more durable fabric that's a better color but I mean for £4 that you can bung them in the wash they are pretty good in the um in the meantime just like that we're done i was too early for meatballs as well i wasn't hungry enough but now I kind of am anyway um we are in the final section so I might just quickly head to that like bargain corner that they do see if they've got any bargains and then check out i hold on to this moment i know it is late but I have just realized you feel the same way and you have been waiting this is really nice an open wardrobe 75% off $49.75 and it's in this like really nice dark brown so you've got the little drawer at the bottom but something like this in a cloak room would be lovely you've got the um little rail at the top for all your coats and it's got like a really nice edging it's definitely not your standard kind of IKEA furniture those dressing gowns I showed you earlier we've got some at 31% discount 15 pounds just because they're exting and they're fine some of their laundry hampers as well are here i'm not sure what the price is they also have the like hanging storage things that you can pop in your wardrobe in the bargain corner again can't see a price for them though you know what it's called au15 yeah thank you guys if you don't use the McDonald's app and you come as a regular as I do which is at least how often do I come every month sometimes I'm in a period of going every week every other week um but yeah I would say like once or twice a month it's well worth using the rewards app because you get so many points uh more so than anywhere else I think and you get like free food free coffees free drinks um depending on the amount of points you've got so yeah just little advertisement for McDonald's there recommending them i'm all done at IKEA now and I am about to Sorry for this angle cuz I'm literally just about to drive um one second thank you i am now going to head over to the garden center very successful at IKEA got a few bits there was one thing that I was keeping my eyes peeled for and that was a big jar some kind of big jar that I could put the if you saw my last video the those giant marshmallows I want to have for our outdoor kitchen um I want like a big glass jar for them and the ones that IKEA do they weren't big enough because that's going to sit in the outdoor kitchen so yeah we need a a bigger one ideally um what else was I looking out for that I didn't spot they actually had some like loads of new bits that I'd never seen before even not labeled new but just things I'd never noticed so sunny honestly can't get over the weather we've had this whole week or two even when we were in New York it was meant I think it was really nice in England as well they said on the radio not the hottest they said the sunniest March on record in England ever so for anyone not watching in England right now and you don't know us Brits we like to talk about the weather and I am just fully appreciating the sunshine i kind of want to sit out sit like out in it and enjoy it this afternoon in the garden i've got quite a bit of work to do um so we might sit out there for a bit i have seen in um on Amazon you can buy these I might buy one these laptop shades that kind of goes over your laptop so that you can sit outside in the sun oh we're off again thanks as I was saying yeah like a kind of laptop shade that you put over your laptop so you can sit in the sunshine whilst seeing your laptop screen you can actually edit and work from outside so we might give that a go do I drive to the gu i think I'm going to drive to the garden center in fact you know what no i'm going to park up here and I'll drive over in a second once I've eaten my dinner trying to do it so I'm not sat next to someone who's also had the same idea as me and I sat eating their dinner with their windows open cuz that's just literally this is everyone in this car park okay I managed to find a spot that's by myself anyway 15° C it is and I've gone for a warm coffee but I'm feeling like I need a bit of caffeine which is rare for me i don't usually drink caffeine but I have been since we got back from America I feel like we jumped into the time difference straight away after the night flight where I managed to get like a few hours sleep stayed up till 8:00 p.m that that day that we got back cuz we landed at sort of 7 8 Oh no it was a bit late than that about 10:00 a.m um managed to stay awake all that time and then we had a good sleep woke up at about 7 8:00 and we were like perfect we're back into the swing of things and then when the clocks sprang forward at the weekend last weekend every ever since I've been struggling at night time I'm feeling like I'm wide awake at 10:00 10:30 and that's not like me usually I'm winding down at that time and then that means when the alarm goes off at 7 both Tom and I are feeling like we're not ready to get up which is not like me especially at all so we've gone for a toffee latte and I've got I've seen that they've got a new McFlurry i didn't get it cuz I didn't want the McFlurry today but um they've got a new apple cake one but they've also got these that are new cheesy garlic bread dippers which I thought we could try obviously I've seen they do similar things but never garlic bread okay it's not what I imagined it is just a cheesy garlicky bread coated like a cheese dipper it's all cheese in the middle there's no bread at all other than the coating but they're good so yes a naughty little lunch today i'm going to pop on some music or a podcast actually I was listening to the girls bathroom podcast on route over and I will listen to that for a few moments have a bit of a break windows down enjoying some fresh air and then we will go and head over to Not Cuts Garden Center what a lovely day blooming lovely moments passing away okay I found the hydrangeers this is how they're currently looking so I don't know if maybe they you do have to I mean guys please educate me if you do have to dead head them over winter and they look like this or if these are new i don't know but these are perfect um I need to ask someone what sort of time if we plant these now if they will be out in spring summer this year or if that's going to be a bit too optimistic yeah they do loads of colors as you can tell they do these ones which are more of like a greeny yeah see this is what they look like in July and August white in the summer and then these ones are gorgeous mont Blanc should we just get some they're just not looking that special right now that's the only thing did you ever let go did you ever not be real i won't let you where's his B A L L i don't know why I'm spelling it it's not like he wa What's this funny is he going to take it in the garden he's gone he's gone look at this sunshine guys it's so sunny i also massively under underestimated how warm it was going to be today so Oh it's a bit windy though um hopefully you can hear me we're back home i've literally just unloaded the car i've got all of the hydrangeas to plant what I think I'm going to do though that's where I'm saying I'm going to pop them by the way along this bed here i'm going to just enjoy some sunshine i think I need to get out of this jumper my little west village favorite one of my favorite areas when we're in New York uh this abocrombie by the way if you were interested although I can't see it online i could just I obviously got it in store in New York but anyway yeah he's loving that ball look at the uh petals already dropping from the magnolia it's so sad that we don't have it for very long get it bun get it but yeah the magnolia leaves it's so sad that we don't have it for longer but so so pretty whoa didn't realize I was zoomed in so much but yes I think we're going to spend the rest of this afternoon getting on with some bits i'll pick up the camera again tomorrow morning to uh show you all the bits that I did by and popping some bits away and doing some more bits and bobs and maybe even taking you to plates tomorrow we will see we'll see if I'm brave enough to get out the vlogging camera okay so I've spaced them out evenly where I'm thinking they could be um they could go but I am thinking look see how a couple of these I don't know if that's weeds or if whatever I planted here is coming back through so I'm a bit unsure on what to do um h So you have some of the lavenders coming through as well so I don't know and this one I mean I thought that was long gone but maybe that is just a weed i don't know i can tell obviously that's a weed and this needs pulling up but this I'm not sure about but anyway I'm also thinking there is actually more shade than I thought here so for now I'm just keeping these um watered and in their pots just for a couple of days to sus out what we're going to do cuz I might actually plant a couple at the front of the house as well unsure for today anyway i will obviously have to plant them but I might just keep them in their pots just for now it does also say with the hydrangeas to make sure you don't plant them in the ground until the last frost of the season i know it's two 2° frosty yeah I don't know whether to keep them in their pots for now rather than planting them just so we can move them like in the sun if needs be and that's what I'm saying i don't think there will be a frosting oh okay be 2° this week but I can't see it's not going to be 2° for like a long time though is it and and in the day when it gets frost is like to it's anything below zero I guess anyway we've just got back from our reformer Pilates i think Tom you said you enjoyed it from a guy's perspective i've obviously done it before twice that much but I think you got the color wrong oh you're orange orange what do you think whoa modeling it for us with your navy cap that matches mine um so you're off to do the cube now with your work people with your work friends which I'm kind of jealous of i'd quite like to do the queue tom's not that bothered don't you i'm like oh let me do it i'm going to wrap a present as well that I've got to take to a friend's tomorrow and I might actually show you all those IKEA bits tomorrow and I've only just picked up the camera for today but I feel like I want to um crack on with some worky bits wrap this and do my hair and makeup cuz I'm feeling a bit rubbish i might even go for a run this afternoon before my hair wash that's when I time any kind of exercises when my hair needs washing so that's probably on the agenda for today i'm loving my blooms here on the island they're quite vibrant those purples they've opened up to be quite purple nice aren't they yeah they're pretty i think of all the florals this is why I like lavender as well i quite like whites greens and maybe a dash of purple um but I really like the tulips your mom brought over at the weekend look at these i don't know what variety they are but they're super fluffy and they've opened up there's probably not much life in them left couple have started to droop a bit but even with a copper coin I feel like tulips don't last like a really long time you know what i could probably just show you these bits now just excuse the state of me not that you guys would care anyway but I just I don't know there's something about being on camera that I just always feel just a little self-conscious when I literally have these wispy bits sticking out makeup half off my face after sweating in that yoga not yoga session reformer platey session but his brand new fresh toys he will love those these are the two rugs that I got for the back door i'll lay these out in there in a second and see how they look but they're part of the low house range so they're kind of like a more sturdy seaggrassy textured rug that I'm thinking by the back door as runner if you remember in the vlog as well I'm going to keep it boxed up for now until we start working on on the top floor redoing it or like not redoing it but you know just doing up a little bit this laptop stand on to a couple of other little random bits and bobs that I got i got myself one of these coffee machines coffee makers just the uh white one it said new in I think about £105 i want to use my Dunkin Donut coffee that I got from Target in America and I can't find our filter coffee machine so I've decided to get one of these they're a bit easier it's only me that's probably going to drink it so they had a smaller one but I quite like the idea of having a large one cuz when it's decaf especially I will just go through that with a couple of biscuits and then I also picked up this which as you can tell by the image is a grater and it's one of these grers that you pop the cheese or whatever it is you're grating in and you just spin it and it's a lot easier than doing that and I always catch my nails and stuff barney look at this look what mommy's got for you oh now you've seen them who's this oh you're taking the dog i think the doggy is his favorite can you come and see what else we've got well I'll show you what else we've got we've also got in here some of these which are going to be good for our outdoor kitchen i'm thinking about just popping um like oils and stuff in this for Tom to be able to use so that we don't have to constantly have um him taking like cooking stuff in and out of the the house and cuz I know what will happen it'll be used in the outdoor kitchen then it'll end up staying in the outdoor kitchen then we won't have one in the house so I thought these will be perfect for that and then the last thing that I got from IKEA I did go for one of these White Company style I'm going to say because I don't know if they've actually done seaggrass lantern before i think they probably have if you know the White Company you'll know that this is very the style of White Company stuff i did actually think you could use this as a vase but you could only use it for faux flowers cuz the bottom part has um like a rim that sits on a metal so it the water would just uh escape essentially last thing that I wanted to show you it's actually something that I got from the garden center and it's this sourdough magazine i thought I had this already but I had a look in the cupboards and I don't so I don't know if I thought about buying it in the past and didn't or if I gave it to someone i can't remember but I when I saw this I recognized it and then when I got home I was like "No I definitely didn't buy it." We want to get into making our own sourdough essentially and I thought this would be perfect that is everything that I got from IKEA i don't think there was anything else to show you i did pop into a couple of other shops uh a Home Bargains wo oh I just got lightheaded you know when you stand up too quickly the only other thing that I popped into was Home Bargains and Dun Elm and I did get some bits but I I was thinking about doing cuz I didn't like do any in store footage or anything for there i was thinking about doing um Instagram real and Tik Tok videos for that to show you what was new so I might at some point in a future vlog show you but for this video we're going to keep it here i'm looking so pale right now i feel like I need to fake tan i'm all for embracing pale skin when it's natural which is me i I don't tan but I don't burn i'm just This is me there's just something about having a bit of a tan that just always makes me feel better feel like my skin looks clearer i feel thinner i just feel more glowy and hydrated and less poorly looking i promise you guys that cold that Tom got in America he didn't pass it on touch wood we're all good over here i'm just pasty right now anyway I need to stop talking about my appearance cuz I'm sure you guys don't mind the fact that I'm not looking at my breast right now but anyway I'm going to close off the video here thumbs up if you have enjoyed it subscribe for more as always I just am so grateful for each and every one of you for all of your continued support on my channel and um yeah it really means the world so I hope you have a lovely rest of your day and I hope to see you all very soon in my next video bye guys
