hey everybody it's jill simonian from
prageru kids and our prep membership
program prageru resources for educators
and parents
20 000 parents and educators being
connected together to fight
the
compromised and radicalized curriculums
happening in our schools will wit's here
hello jill hi will craig are you morning
audience it's
prague are you kids greg are you kids
morning yes we have every tuesday today
is march 15th right it's the 15th yes
today's march 15th it's our tuesday
check-in with our parents and teachers
and grandparents and caregiver givers
here on facebook because we've got hot
topic headlines confession i was going
to skip going live today but
will
today's for you
yes
because he walked in and said did you
see this tweet from
christopher ruffo right up your lane it
is it is it is in my lane it is in my
alley it is alarming and i believe uh do
you have that can you read us the
headline i do i have it pulled up here
okay so let's get into it okay so this
is from chris rufo you guys know i'm a
fellow the manhattan institute a public
school in san antonio segregated fifth
grade students by hair color subjected
them to harassment and abuse and showed
them graphic photos of murdered black
children the left is showing kids
dead children all is a part of a twisted
anti-racism lesson as nbc san antonio
first reported
uh teachers at leon springs elementary
school separated students into oppressor
and oppressed categories based on hair
color
teachers told the dark-haired kids they
were privileged and told the fair hair
kids they were not as intelligent for 10
year olds right also
dark haired wouldn't it be the opposite
if they're going like the black well
they're trying to prove a point with
these lessons and you know
i have elementary school students
of course i want them to know the evils
of racism and what it means to be
unified as americans through diversity
through our differences but this is
twisted
and corrupt and
totally inappropriate i mean look at the
if you read what it l go down to where
it says they showed them yeah as part of
this lesson the teachers also showed
clips from the spike lee documentary
four little girls about the alabama
church bombings which included graphic
autopsy photos of the dead children and
they're showing this in a class
my question is i wonder how many of
these students are on grade level for
reading are they on grade level for math
are they excelling in understanding what
the academics are for their great and
then we have schools
showing things like this
and i always say oh this is an overreach
into parents rights it's a violation of
public you know parental rights and and
i think it was last week you just broke
it down and you said this is sick right
no that's exactly what it is and i want
to read this part here because it shows
how narcissistic the teachers are it
says the intention of the lesson was to
expose inequity and make the fifth grade
children feel the pain of segregation
but the exercise when haywire students
began crying and told their parents that
their teachers were segregating and
psychologically abusing them so a
teacher doesn't care about the
well-being of the children they just
want to push their agenda i mean one
normal person says i'm fine with making
children cry and be upset just so i can
feel good about these stupid things that
i believe i mean you have to be sick to
believe you do and whatever happened to
especially in this last year with all
that we've seen in education
uh whatever happened to
the remember anti-bullying remember that
making people cry making picking on
children making people feel isolated and
alone and scared a school should never
be a place where children are scared or
parents
pick up their children at the end of the
day and are informed about things like
this that are inappropriate i don't want
my kids seeing this stuff without my
permission without my consent without my
knowledge of what it is this is it's
it's it's a violation it's a it's an
it's a direct abuse on children and
students and it's taking advantage of
parents trust and and and listen
you know we have our prep membership
group where we talk about all of these
issues with parents and teachers and
we're not here to pick on teachers
because there are thousands and
thousands of teachers who are
against all of this vehemently against
all of this and it's really i mean the
more headlines i see like this it's
tragic right
in my opinion which i'm you might
disagree with me on this but i'm going
to say it anyway please well
we have lots of teachers who are against
this but it takes more than just being
against it we have to be adamant about
pushing the right values on children you
know i know we talk about prageru kids
and prep and stuff i'm going to say you
know we have to just teach non-political
stuff and you know just teach them the
truth and everything and that's exactly
true when it comes to the truth but you
know history uh some things in science
now all of these things are inherently
political so it's not about teaching
apolitical stuff to children anymore
it's about teaching the right things to
children now you know i i have no
no uh no problem myself teaching my
children conservative values yeah and
saying that we should have schools that
teach kids conservative truthful you
know judeo-christian values i think
that's a good thing uh so especially
when you have people like this because
we say we want to have an apolitical
classroom and they say well this isn't
political this is just the truth yeah
and so we have to be able willing to say
listen we're going full scorched earth
on these people and not letting them
not letting them teach this monstrosity
to to our children i know i do i i don't
i don't disagree with you obviously i
took my kids and we've talked about this
before i took my kids out
of our
previous public school which really was
excellent on all levels but
the second i started learning about
these now our previous school didn't do
things like this to my knowledge at
least
but the second i started hearing about
different lessons that were being
uh injected into the classroom like via
the gold rush lesson for fourth grade
all you know there was this whole
worksheet that talked about racism and
the evils and this and i thought
why is all of this being
yeah why was all of that being
forced on kids and and making them learn
history in a way that was making them
you know my daughter came home nervous
and sad and anxious and everything that
i took my kids out because i thought
that's wrong and and they you know that
school didn't think that that was
political or radicalized or you know
agendized in any way but i knew that it
was because
if you kids can't learn that way no i
mean i'm not a certified teacher but i
am a parent right and i do i don't want
my kids learning those things in a
divisive way teacher i mean they
certified you i know people who are you
know teachers they go to college they
drink their way through college and now
they're a teacher and they're teaching
trans ideology and they're kind of i
mean you know i know
no disrespect to all the good teachers
out there but you know you can learn
teaching as a valuable skill by yourself
you didn't have to go to college for
centuries yeah to be a teacher yeah you
know you just learned how to teach
children you taught them good values
that's what it was about and people were
a lot more autonomous back then as well
yeah but now it's you know if your kid
isn't going to this public school and
being indoctrinated your kid's going to
be a stupid plumber or electrician right
you want him to go to this ivory tower
university and and otherwise he's stupid
and he's going to be left out of society
but we need to reverse our thinking on
that right exactly that's what i'm
saying yeah that's what they've
convinced us to believe yes and a lot of
us are really starting to wake up but
another thing you just said something
about and i want to hear if there's any
uh comments about this if anyone is from
san antonio uh or the you know this this
area where this actually happened um the
article i think we linked to the tweet
i'm sure in the comments and everyone
can read the details but uh going back
to what you just said to about uh
teachers how there are a lot of good
teachers uh
but it's not enough to just
believe this is wrong
we have to do and the teachers as hard
as it is with your unions and your peers
and your colleagues and any bullying
that might go on in that teacher's
lounge i don't know but teachers
do have a responsibility now to say
i'm not going to be party to this i'm
not going to be accomplice to this i
know a group of excellent teachers who
i'm personally friends with
in the central part of california
specifically and they will get certain
directives and lessons and things that
really lean into this sort of ideology
in the class and you know what they do
well
they put it in the garbage
and they just say you know what we're
not doing this and they put it on the
back burner they put in the garbage and
they don't and nobody says anything
about it because they know that it's
wrong and those are the teachers that i
applaud and those are the teachers that
we just you know we wish there were more
of you and then if you you know the more
you do that the more courage you have to
really speak up at the staff meeting and
say i'm not okay with this as an
educator let's go back to basics that's
what we need that's right
you have to be on the attack imagine if
you're a soldier in war and another
soldier decides not to do his job even
though he signed up for it he
volunteered and chose to be a soldier
with you and because of his his uh
weakness the whole platoon dies because
of one guy right so if you're going and
being this this teacher and you have
said i am going to be a teacher an
educator of children you have chosen
that career then it is your
responsibility to teach kids the right
thing and if you're too scared to go out
there and speak what the truth is
because you're worried about you know
people being upset with union the union
whatever it is
then you shouldn't be a teacher at all
you have to if you go and say i'm going
to do this then you have to be that
strong person on the attack i respect
you so much i really do i really do i'm
not saying that because we're on camera
here will wit not only does he have wit
but he has brains
thank you
you should be a teacher
uh well i've kind of him but you know
yeah he kind of is do we have any
comments about this i'm just curious
yeah we do we have a few here let me
read a couple um tikka says values are
taught in the home school should educate
not indoctrinate
um let's see katie says we fought hard
against k-12 indoctrination in 2012 we
should fight even harder in 2022.
yes and
jose says they are trying not to t to
teach higher math here in los angeles
because they called it racist yes i knew
i heard about that and i know that
that's going on i want to go back to the
first comment if you're still watching
and listening uh regarding the values in
the home absolutely a hundred percent
agree
however the one
i guess
conundrum with that is that
unfortunately in so many homes
the values are not being taught
and rather than
say
you know just what will you did say that
value should be taught in the school
conservative values and i do agree with
that but when we talk about values like
the golden rule
that's not a conservative value that's a
value that frankly everyone from all
sides of any kind of political spectrum
really should get behind trees
exactly but treat others the way you
want to be treated isn't that the i
laugh at all of these diversity equity
and inclusion buzzwords because isn't
the golden rule the root right of what
inclusion really means isn't that what
it is right and then they don't agree
with you shut them off social media
that's the left golden rule right
but yes but but it's insane because it's
like when you have a conversation and
say treat people the way you want to be
treated they look at you oh yes
inclusion inclusion inclusion but they
just refuse to understand that the
golden rule is universal for everyone
that's what we need to get back to in
schools and the golden rule i mean is
leviticus you know it's it's biblical
yeah so that's why when i say
conservative values when i say
conservative values real conservative
values that is biblical values yeah they
are they are directly connected whereas
leftism is a uh devoid of any sort of
biblical meaning whereas conservatism
real conservatism connects to it so when
you're teaching these values you are
teaching the values of the bible as well
as the political values of a society and
how they function as traditional
conservatives and that's what students
should be learning yeah not just at home
but in the classroom as well and if your
classroom isn't doing that then you
should homeschool or at least get them
out there and move them to a different
school at the very least yeah and i did
it i did it i i i i
listen it was scary but any parent who's
watching i will tell you this last year
against
all
likelihood and my own shock and awe i
did my husband and i decided to move our
children to another school because of
the writing on the wall that we saw in
the public education system and i'll
tell you
it was scarier thinking about it before
we made that leap
than
it was to actually do it once you do it
you look back and you go oh you know
what kids are resilient hey look they
make friends and hey we can keep our old
friends and everything's okay i promise
i promise i promise
um yeah speaking of resilience
we have a prager you kids show we do
about resilience
and i'm going to let will
play a clip do you know how to play a
clip because i certainly don't i do
it's uh my one saving grace at this
point
excellent this is
most of you know prageru kids has more
than 100 pieces of content we're coming
up on our one-year birthday i will bring
a birthday cake one of these days before
april 1st to celebrate our official
one-year birthday for prager you kids no
frosting
with frosting no no sprinkles no no
that's that's for women we can scrape
your frosting off what kind of why why
what okay wait let's get let's get the
request right now what is it chocolate
chocolate vanilla strawberries sprinkles
what pound cake
no for heaven's sake no frosting no
sprinkles
just plain pound cake this is the best i
see what we have to deal with this is
tragic it's a one year birthday party
one year likes funfetti
[Music]
that's the best that's what i would do
every year for my birthday my mom got me
pound cake and then strawberries this is
this is this is what i tell my children
maybe we'll see and they say mommy that
means no maybe we'll we'll see
well you're gonna have to do this live
with someone else okay okay no no we
gotta keep will okay let's i'll eat the
funfetti he'll eat the funfetti cake
okay great uh let's show the clip of our
prageru kids leo and layla animated
episode
about a resilient woman in history let's
just see pull it up maybe like at the
three or four minute mark okay
see if you can get some house big enough
for everyone oh i was so excited but
then something unfair happened right
once the new building was completed the
newly elected school board removed me
from my position as school leader and
dropped me down to female assistant
they believed the position was not
appropriate for a woman so they let you
build the school from nothing and then
replace you after all the hard work was
done and just because you're a woman
not fair
no not fair at all
but what was i to do
throw myself a pity party and wallow in
victimhood
not me
i'm tough i'm resilient did you fight
the school board to get your position
back
no there was nothing i could do
but i didn't want the lesser school
position
so i moved to washington dc and became a
clerk in the us government's office that
handles new inventions okay do you know
who this is where
i pro well i i can't cheat i know who it
is oh yeah that's right he looked at
that okay so this is this episode is all
about clara barton and clara barton was
a teacher
and she built a school and all of those
wonderful things that we learned about
her in that short clip there but she
also did what she founded the american
red cross she founded the american red
cross and
and like i said talk about values all of
our prageru kids shows have history but
they also teach values that kids
unfortunately are not learning
in schools and that episode is about
resilience and it's just you know it's
one it's it's it's the the small thing
that us as parents can do instead of
showing our kids the woke cartoons get
them get them into the habit of mixing
in our prageru kids shows because they
are gonna get the positive values and
they are going to get a positive world
view that contradicts all of the garbage
that they're being taught in schools and
also the other kids shows that are on
netflix and all sorts of things i mean
they're basically hypnotherapy
with how they the colors and the
animation and all this stuff these are
actually well-produced shows that are
teaching your kids good values and
aren't going to turn them into little
zombies zombies i was just gonna say
zombies
you know troglodytes i mean
this is if you want content for your
kids prageru kids is a place to go you
guys got to go to prageru.com uh
paraguay.com kids and check it all out
yes
well yes and you watch our shows all the
time i just know i actually watch the
prank of you kids i know i know you do
i watch them i'm not even joking i do
watch them and i'm not joking i'm
learning my own i'm learning our united
states history from these shows as well
because i am you know i i still have a
lot to learn too so it's great for us
parents great for us teachers uh any
other questions or comments
next week i will say next week we have
an amazing autos tales story time
episode launching because
dennis prager is reading the story time
wow and it's going to be so it's so cool
and it's so cute and it's adorable and
you're just everyone's just going to
love it and we're going to make a big
deal about it next week but uh until
then any words of wisdom
oh yes
is there a prageru kids app
there is a prageru app
which our kids shows are included on
but here's a little
every time i come here i get questions
and i never know if i can talk about it
but i'm gonna anyway so protect me if
someone comes to fire me
we are working on
having um a a kids only section in the
app and the website we're working on
this it's it's all of our kids shows are
free outward-facing for anyone to use
and watch and enjoy and consume uh it's
on our app it's uh the shows are on the
app the shows are on the website but
we're working on an app that is only for
kids so that you can put it on the kids
shows and give your kid a little bit of
you know maybe 30 minutes of screen time
and it can just be kids show after kids
show after kids show so we're working on
it it's coming but everything's on our
regular website right that's fantastic
yeah that's right okay great good
question
thank you for joining us for our weekly
hot topic breakdown discussion will wit
i always
get wisdom from you
thank you i love the young people
that sounded like a real old lady saying
that but i do
but uh yes
i like the what was he going to say say

just a little bit wiser than i am
a little bit more experienced that was a
that was a good save yeah okay in the
