G'day legends and welcome back to another episode of That's Lockheed News for a Friday
and we have got something for everyone this week and let's kick it off with some Carrera
and we'll start off with the McLaren 720S GT3 Door Motorsports.
This one is looking pretty and pretty fast is sitting still but we've also got a video
here of some testing by Carrera, the Ford GT40 124 inch scale digital.
Hopefully I can get my hands on some of these goodies at Carrera for you but there is some
testing on the Carrera World website.
So let's hop on over to Scale-A-Trick and see what they are showing us this week.
First up, Joe Polly's Austin Mini Cooper, we've got a video of this one, stay tuned
to the end of this because we'll talk more about that car in a tick.
Also the Shelby Mustang GT350 Equipped GTS and some available now cars, the Back to the
Future 2, we've also got the Ford RSR, very good looking car, the Subaru Cop Car, the
AMC and I think the Rivalto is also available.
I did get a delivery this week, here are the cars that we are looking at on the channel,
on my socials, check out Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and of course YouTube and we do have
the Mini Austin in there to review.
So some news coming out from Australia, directly from Scalex Seller, for those wanting SCX
Down Under or Super Slot slash Scale-A-Trick in the European market, Scalex Seller has
got the rights to sell SCX so stay tuned, check out their website and of course the
Facebook group for more information when these are available but it's good to see
that SCX is coming back Down Under.
And whilst we are talking SCX, the new Toyota Yaris WRC, I absolutely love this delivery,
I think it looks really good, what's your thoughts on this one, are you excited to see
another Toyota Yaris out there in the wild, I think I am and it looks like this one will
be coming to Australia.
So let's see what Advance Motors is up to and first up they are showing us a Subaru,
this is the delivery and a drawing of what the car will potentially look like, what's
your thoughts on that one and also the IME stand, Advance have one there last weekend,
they have the Celica and the Ford just to name a few on display, I'm loving the Celica
and this did drop early last week, unfortunately someone broke cover on it, it's the RX-7,
it's going to be a resin body, it looks incredible, I was sitting on this news, I wasn't allowed
to drop it yet but it did slip through so we can now show it and you've probably seen
it on the socials, I think this one looks pretty good.
And let's see what MR Slot Car is up to and a beautiful Ferrari 333 SP, I can't wait to
see the new MR Slot Cars out there with their metal chassis, this one looks incredible,
what's your thoughts, there's been some news coming out of the MR Slot Car camp so
hopefully we'll get to see them out in the wild very soon.
So let's see what TA71 is up to and first up we've got some low run cars here, first
we have a beautiful Ferrari of course, these are going to be printed, you'll have to finish
them yourselves and also the HOMA with the HOMA vehicle, so you get the model and the
HOMA car as well, I have the Hot Wheels version of this, I think it looks pretty cool, it's
not for everyone, can I wait to see it, yes, I think it's going to be pretty cool, low
run cars on these and also this one just dropped as well, look at the detail, the 91730, oh
my god, 3D printing has come a long way and it looks like TA71 is the leader of printing.
So let's upscale and go up to 124 and this is DG Slot Racing with the Chip Ganassi Collection
Indycars, I think this looks pretty cool, it is different, I like it, what's your thoughts
on this one, these are available from Electric Dreams, again, 124 in scale, good old Chip
Ganassi who made a visit there during the week and Indycars, it's not F1 and it's not
NASCAR, it's Indycar and I think that's pretty cool.
And SRC are showing off the Porsche 914-6 GT Chrono Series, I've had these in my collection,
they're a good car, check them out, it's a beautiful looking Porsche and they perform
pretty well.
So we can't forget the smaller scales, let's check out Autoworld HO, we've got two movie
cars here from the John Wick films, 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS, I do like a nice movie car and
of course you can't pass up a John Wick and also the 1968 Dodge Charger RT, both appear
to be on the Thunderjet chassis, pretty cool to see some movie stuff getting through Autoworld,
what's your thoughts on these, are you going to grab them, I think they look alright.
And Dewey May is the Pony Powers, we've got four cars here, the 1971 AMC, we've also got
the 1978 Pontiac Firebird, followed by the 1969 Chevy Camaro and last but not least,
the 2015 Ford Mustang GT, they've all got two livery or colour designs plus a chase
piece each if you can find them in the wild, pretty cool.
And something very cool for the HO fans out there, SCS Hobbies with some go karts, yes
please, I saw these, I did reach out to SCS, I will try and get some on the channel once
I build a track, these are pretty cool, followed by the HO Midgets, yes please, I don't know
which one to choose, the go karts or the midgets, or hey, tag both, check them out, they're
posting all over socials, it's pretty cool to see this stuff in the HO world.
And from Eric Coleman's Facebook page, a good friend of the channel from Bauer has showed
us some updated pics of the upcoming taxi movie film car by Bauer, this one's looking
very detailed.
And to round out the HO goodness, check out Slot Mod's first HO track, yes please, they've
given me some inspiration here to build a HO hill climb track in the little small space
that I've got, so kudos to Slot Mod's, they are, they're the best, they're the best in
the business and they're now doing HO, good to see.
And we have a Scorpius Digital update via the Carrera, so Scorpius slash Carrera, this
is the final version, so here is the graph of what has been happening and it looks like
this will be the final push for the Scorpius slash Carrera Digital, can't wait to see this
in action.
So a new podcast has dropped and I highly recommend you check it out if you're into
slot cars, Ian Douglas' YouTube channel, go subscribe to it, behind the wheel is Todd
Ulery and Ian Douglas, the first episode of The Spinning Pinion has dropped, two absolute
legends and two maniacs on the trigger, so if you want to learn everything about slot
car racing, slot cars in general, check out this amazing podcast.
So that's a wrap on today's edition of That Slot Car News for a Friday, as always, thank
you legends for tuning in, please check out my other socials, I am receiving a lot of
stuff at the moment, so I'm trying to spread it across my Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and
of course YouTube.
Thank you everyone for tuning in, have a great weekend, be safe, take care, bye.
