When life feels rushed, scattered, or overwhelming, this meditation helps you come home to yourself—grounded, open, and supported by the present moment.
I offer these every week, along with a short teaching.

So as we move into meditating, I suggest an awareness of the feeling of inhabiting, inhabitation,
establishing with a sense of supportiveness for yourself, being on your own side, coming
into your seat, or whatever your meditation posture is, walking, standing, lying down,
or sitting, based on how the body works, engaging what's called interoception by moving your
body in some small ways, particularly around the joints, your feet, all the way up to your
head.
That will help you come into your body.
see if you can get a sense, along with breathing, of coming home, landing here and now in the
present, coming home into your body with every breath.
If it's comfortable for you, continuing to rest awareness in your body, including the
sensations of breathing, allowing, accepting, whatever is passing through awareness, while
remaining present in the body.
As a tension moves through your body, you be aware of places that feel tight and see
if you can let them go, letting your shoulders settle, for example, relaxing the belly, the
opening, opening awareness in all directions, opening into your body, breathing as a whole
You might have a sense of life moving through you, the air coming to us, the energy in your
body, all the little cells and molecules busily working away inside you.
This could be quite intuitive, quite felt, gradually experiencing ourselves as a local
expression of life and the world altogether, perhaps with a sense of being breathed as
the air moves through you, perhaps a sense of being cradled by Mother Earth and in a
field of gravity, helping us to be grounded, perhaps a sense of being made continuously
at the front edge of now, keeping it experiential and intuitive rather than philosophical.
I'll be quiet for a while, see if you like exploring this sense of being lived by everything
flowing through you, continually gifted with who you are becoming moment by moment.
You might be able to find a sense that is a combination of feeling made by the world
moment by moment by moment, made by all that is moment by moment by moment, combined with
a moving through you of a lovingness, heart, tender concern, compassion.
So I'll be quiet again for a bit, if you like, exploring the feeling of knowing that we are
each being made by everything with a current of love moving through the center of all of it.
If you can't find this, no worries, no pressure.
You might gently invite the sense of this, perhaps with a soft comment to yourself along
the lines of, being made by everything with love moving through, or other words that work for you.
